In general as a foreigner you can afford to live in a secure condo, take Uber everywhere, just like Thailand, no reason to be walking down dark alleyways. So it isn't that unsafe and comparing the Philippines to Thailand on safety grounds is pretty dumb if you ask me, given all the deaths in Thailand.

    How silly it is !

How can someone enjoy a life where you cannot walk outside when you want, day or night. Feel pity for this kind of people...

And some others living in a luxury jails that they are scare to leave.

Great that some people enjoy such a ridiculous life !

Am I the only one who keep his dashcams connected to powerbanks ? It's the only smart way to use them, and they never stop except when I unplug.

The chance that a dashcam turns off in case of accident is so high, that it's plain stupid to use them like most "normal" people.

Not quite decided yet but was about to give Xiaomi Yi a try via Lazada since it looks too good to be true for 1,699 Baht then I noticed just about everything listed on Lazada says the promotional price ends today. I suppose that's not really the case? And their 14 days return policy... do they really honor that and accept return for ANY reason no matter what?

Fortunately the majority of Thai's are smart enough to judge us each based on our own individual merit, I hope this doesn't change and we become tarred by the same brush as these thieving miscreants.

You are so wrong. All farang are the same for most Thai.

I like Chinese more, because even rude as they are, they cannot be confused with us...

^ So because he is a tuk tuk driver he is evil uh? lol ... yawn... he is my oldest friend in BKK and I trust him more than a lot of people and thats why I consider him a friend.

No doubt about the valid arguments you bring "impulse" but I find the traffic more fluid and the air cleaner in Saigon and pretty sure they have less

road accident compared to BKK (which isnt hard of course). The way they use their horn is particularly annoying but thats another story..

Maybe not bad but certainly as smart as his friends...

Oh ! Incredible ? How do you know that Vietnamese are bastards using their horn ? Have you been living there 10 years to be able to understand ?

    :-)

A strange post. You say that you love Bangkok and told your boss (told? Not asked? Really?) to prepare for you to transfer to Bangkok, and then rant at the pollution and traffic. Did you know from your previous visits that it be quite hot as well? Or did you miss that, as well as not realising how busy and polluted the roads are before asking to be transferred there.

    He needs time to realize...

Soon he will know more about his girlfriend and will come here ranting about how bad Thai women are...

^ No question was asked -  Its just my assessment of an aspect of the city which sucks to the point that it became predominant for me.

And you need that long ? Maybe you if could start thinking faster and your life could be better...

Many groups. Rating foreigners, discussing foreign boyfriends/husbands, asking help regarding government process re foreigners. Some brag about how much money/gold they are getting off their boyfriends/husband per month, others use it to shame a guy, some use it for a laugh (this is my dream foreign guy and this is what I ended up with). Generally it is about guys who are in relationships/or talking like a relationship. If just a fun thing then the man will not be mentioned generally.

I feel you must be quite insecure to feel the need to check if you are there or not. Why would you care if you are there? If you have done 'so many of them', then you should have no issues doing more if you are there or not. A tiny percentage of the country would actually use the groups.

Just interested to see what kind of nice photos they published :-)

Since the 90's my gold standard for tourist type shows has been the Phuket Fantasy show. Seen many many times and enjoyed the spectacle every time. However, there is a new kid on the block, the Kaan show here in Pattaya. Spectacular is an understatement, and yes not cheap. But would I pay to see it again? Most certainly, highly recommended. Go see it! Simply amazing!

Hint: if you go see the show make sure you read the small pamphlet you receive with your ticket BEFORE the show starts for maximum enjoyment.

I am sure not to listen to someone who likes the kind of ridiculous show as phuket show...

    Any update about Dsuck ?

When you buy tickets directly from the D'Luck website they only show one price.

    Wrong.

    Different prices in Thai:

    http://kaanshow.com/th/ticket/type/

And only 1 price in English:

    http://kaanshow.com/en/ticket/type/

So it is a cinema + real show ? Why it doesn't look interesting ? Need to be Thai to enjoy it (and pay only 500 thb in a group tour...)

Even Trip doesn't help so much:

    Any feedback welcome !

    Thanks.

Against my better judgement I occasionally look at his site. One striking aspect is how hideous the girls are that he expects his readers to admire - low grade snub nosed fatties with tats in the main.Am I alone in thinking this? I accept it could be the decline in the number of lookers in the bars which I deserted years ago.Why in a much richer Thailand would a cute girl on the make want to work in places like that with their sad down market clientele?

Well, I had a window rotary air-con in my bedroom, (Singer) for 25yrs and used every night.

Never had a problem but because of age and rust it finally took its last breath.

Bought an Samsung Inverter which went belly up 2 yrs old.

Guarantee? Only on the mechanical parts and not on the printed cards which are the problem.

Repair costs baht 6000-. even the repairman said that Inverters were no good for Thailand.

So now I have 2 LGs no inverter and no problems, one of them is allready about 7 yrs old.

Google "inverter air-con thailand" or something like that and you will see thousands of comments, all of them negative.

Wish you luck with using anything Inverter, you will need it and a bag of money for repair costs. :welcomeani:

8 years daikin inverter, still no problem, you must have been very lucky or not smart enough to buy a ridiculous samsung aircon...

being posted on Cambodian forums that agents can no longer help/issue Cambodian drivers licenses and u need do it the official way.

used to be around $50 if u had another country license and took 3-5 days, u need be on a 6 or 12 month extension to get it.

Lucky lucky is the  place to check in PP

Extensions for visas can be gotten ( i have a friend that lives there)  in KK BUT u need use an agent as the extension can ONLY be issued in PP

    in SNV  try Ana travels

Thank you. So the easiest way would be to go to PP for few days and get the 1 year visa extension + driving license ?

I do not like that my passport travels without me.
