Waiting for a decent company (Minix etc) to release a box with S912 chipset.

Have also heard that the Nvidia Shield offers a modified version of Android called Android TV which does not allow downloading of APKs from the playstore….or something along those lines….happy to be corrected on specifics.

Not sure why your comment on the S912 processor, since Nvidia Shield doesn't host a S912, but a tegra x1 instead.

The reason that minix doesn't have a S912 yet is for the reasons I explained in my previous post. The S912 cores don't run all at the same speed, and that is an issue for the Kodi operating, other than that the S912 is decent enough.

And yes Nvidia Shield seems to block access to Playstore and few other apps.

If you play a lot of high spec games than Shield is the way to go. If you will use the box only for Kodi or other tv streaming apps than shield is overkill and a waste of money.

There are only 2 boxes that will work without issues.

    Himedia Q10 Pro

    Nvidia Shield    2017 model

    "only 2 boxes"

What a ridiculous statement to make.

There are many good boxes out there along with the many bad ones.

I'll add the Minix Neo U1 to the list of good ones.

Correct, the Nvidia is no doubt a very good box, but is just a waste of money for Kodi.

Any decent brand with a S905 processor and 2Gb of emmc RAM will do the job.

Edit : I also want to add stay away of the S912 boxes like H96 several time mentioned here because they have issues. ALL S912 boxes have issues.

If you don't take my word for it go have a llok at the XDA and Freaktab forum and do a search for H96 or any other S912 box and read the results.

Those discussions on those forums are held  by people who are knowledgeable about Android boxes and the firmware

Thinking to go AIS for internet and also looking at their Android box. Does anyone recommend this venue? Does the AIS box have Kodi or can it be installed… I am sort of green about streaming tv!

I would appreciate someone pm me about any useful info! Cheers

As far as I'm aware the AIS play box has Playstore blocked.

It also has only 1Gb RAM, which is not enough for running Kodi properly, and Android 4.2.2 which is outdated for Kodi.

The newest Kodi needs Android 5.0 or higher. You can't upgrade the Android to a higher version.

Feel free to send me a PM with your inquiries, I will answer them with pleasure.

Had a 1 day trial of Pulse and that worked well (on that day at least). Then signed up for a 24 hrs trial with Flawless and was so happy with it that I immediately signed up for 6 months. Problem is, whenever it comes to live football (i.e. Sat afternoon UK time in particular) it has become unwatchable for me here in BKK. Speedtests, when Flawless is buffering like hell, consistently show 20 - 30 Mbit. But then again, this is to local servers and not the foreign ones Flawless are using. But yes, watching Flawless during "peak hours" is (for me) a useless exercise. Just doesn´t work for me despite a fantastic customer service who have been switching me from server to server in search for one that works for me in TH. Unfortunately, none works proficiently enough for me. Will certainly not extend my 6 months subscription. Real shame because WHEN it works it is brill.

I read many posts on the Kodi pages about flawless being far from flawless lately.

The reason you get buffer is because their servers are overloaded, or do you think that your speed coincidental goes down when the 3pm games are on.

What about this one?  Do you think this one is a good one?  I live in Korat I'm not exactly sure what my internet speed is but it seems to work fast.  You seem like the expert so if you think it's a piece of junk if you could let me know I'd really appreciate it.  Thank you both for all your advice so far I honestly appreciate you taking the time to reply and help me out seriously.  If you think this one is no good if you know just tell me if it's not to much trouble and I'll get the right one.  If this isn't the right one if you know which one is and if you could tell me I'd sincerely appreciate that as well.

Yes it is the same box as Encid bought and it is a pile of junk. You can just refuse delivery, they don't make an issue of it, and easier than send it back an get the refund.

I know how to use a fake IP address though VPN to make it appear as if I'm in the US but they're not all that reliable 24/7.  Can you get HBO and Showtime with the Apple TV4?  I think what I need is an Android Box.  I just found a company called Gear Best that sells them but for some reason it's not accepting my debit card even though there's no problems with my card or billing address, obviously it's an issue with the website.

You don't need a VPN or Proxy to watch any streams from US or UK.

So why the hell was he sitting in Cambodia? why not fake passport etc off to X country a million miles away, long before hit etc. Does not make much sense.

Probably because In Cambodia he might have a possiblity of paying himself out in case of caught, which he definitely would not have in the country a million miles away.

Nonsense, the horn can only be used to warn someone of danger, not for parking in your way, you talk poo.

Wait let me help you thinking a little.

I'm sure you are smart enough to understand that obstructing traffic flow, which the minivan did,  is a traffic offence.

Question : What is deemed a traffic offence?

Answer : A traffic offence is an action by a road user that endangers other road users.

Let me know if you need a drawing to understand the reasoning behind a traffic offence.

Ok, so you've done a partial quote on my post. Another person who hasn't watched the whole story or understood what was said by Suthep. Check out the translations if you can't understand it. He lost the plot completely because of the van double parking, gave them a real mouthful which he knew they would react to, and he was carrying a gun.

He probably wouldn't have gobbed off like that if he wasn't carrying a weapon. When he eventually pulls away, he can't resist giving them the beeping horn to wind them up even more. He then pulls in up further up the road knowing they will probably stop and come and have a go.

In your case (if you are following a similar story to what happened) then you should've pulled the taxi driver over and shot him in the face.

Yes I did a partial quote of your post, because that was the part that was relevant to my reply, as you made it sound that it is wrong to blow you horn on a traffic law offender. You will know that what the minivan driver did is a traffic law offence, even in lawless Thailand, and that it is not wrong to blow your horn at such people anywhere in the world, including Thailand.

This afternoon when I exited the highway 7 at the Pattaya sukhumvit Southbound there was a Bangkok taximeter entering the highway in reverse, because he probably took the wrong exit and was too lazy to get to the next U-turn.

I almost hit him from behind in that curve, but lucky I could just avoid an accident, and gave him the full horn while passing with only centimeters between his and my car.

Should i have been followed and threatened with death?

    Yes

And how about if I had crashed in the back of his car, while he was entering a highway in reverse on an exit?

Don't bother to answer because it will be another troll comment.
