  1. I don't know if it's hostile by intent but perhaps hostile by incompetence.

Kind of like driving on the roads. The guy that creams you probably doesn't have it out for you but just isn't thinking.

Today I showed three people the date on my visa and incorrect stamp and each assured me the stamp was correct (which it wasn't)

A lot of people would have left.

Finally a higher up agreed it was wrong and changed it.

  2. If its worse than CM then I don't want to experience that.

Hey Everybody bask in my glory!!!

I was there today and thinking.. This is it!!! No more immigration for me.

Can you imagine yourself in that realization???? Share in another's joy.. It will make you feel good :-)

The mail reports and agents seem a no brainer for the well heeled folks

Neccessary evil to live in the kingdom of bountiful camel toes

  3. ^^ Coachella valley really works for me a lot better than CM in a lot of ways but the thread is not about that

You suckers can pay more for high quality food, choke on air pollution, be attacked by unlimited insects and brave the worlds 2nd most dangerous roads.

    Enjoy!!!

No place is perfect as there are always tradeoffs. Will miss all the girls in miniskirts!!!!!

  4. Yes thanks a bunch UbonJoe

I went to Chiang Mai Immigration this morning and they did change it but it wasn't easy.

I had 3 underlings insist the stamp was right. I even speak decent thai

Finally it got kicked up to a guy with a desk and he caught it the first time.

With travel and standing there explaining it over and over again. 2 hours of my life lost.

Fortunately I was confident because of UJ.

A lot of people would have given up.

Do yourself a huge favor and ALWAYS check and double/triple check the stamp when you enter etc..

  5. I think there is a brand at Tops and Rimping that has them packed in mustard sauce..

It from Scandanavian country and usually ~150 baht for a tin.

Also its not super small size fish but technically I suppose its still a sardine.

They have claims on the package for the amount of Omega 3 fatty acids included.

Some of the comments crack me up..

Yeah could buy mustard separately 55555555

    Awesome idea

  6. Bill Clinton was on Esselstyns extreme low fat diet and was having all sorts of tremors perhaps due not having enough fatty acids to conduct signals in the nervous system.

His approach may certainly work for some people with pre exisiting heart disease but there are plenty of critics that point out issues such as his under 20 person study size that is the basis of his books etc.

  7. Got to kick myself for not looking at the stamp when I came in thru Nong Khai

Usually I check but this time didn't

I got a single entry Tourist Visa at Ventiane on Nov 12

Until stamp should have said about Jan 10 but it's stamped Dec 12

I was planning to extend it 30 days and leave for the US around Feb 5-7

Can I go to Chiang Mai Immigration and point out the error and get it corrected?

How would I go about asking for this?

  8. Okay great you saved a bunch of cash and didn't have an option anyway. What are you complaining about then?

Here in Chiang Mai it would be about 11K for root canal and post and another 8 to 18K depending on the crown material.

My guess the more modern treatment will probably last longer so have to take into account the long term costs.

  9. Juicing/fasting is good in bursts but I have seen a lot of people get ungrounded and develop mental problems on too much juice fasting.

The key is don't be too greedy and chase the dragon.

    Certainly a good tool though.

I would recommend a lot of people to take gelatin or bone broth to heal the gut which often gets stripped of mucus and exposes the immune cells directly to food.

A lot of people fast and cleanse too much and lose their intestinal mucus and develop sensitivities to many foods.

I have found small bursts of regular fasting with amino and or fatty acids achieves much of the same results without the time and expenses.

It's a sign of the times people think they have to cram more into their systems. Humans just aren't that well adapted to taking in nutrients all the time and throttling their endocrine systems and enzyme reserves. They are used to real fasting periods in the old days because there wasn't enough food and the body adapted by scheduling in repairs during the fasts.

  10. a lot of slow speed juicers call them cold pressed but not really.

The standard is the Norwalk Press and a the cheapest refurb is like $900 in the US

There are some other brands that can be purchased for around $500 but guess what? They often break.

I had a Norwalk Jr and it even needed periodic repairs.

If your clever you could make your own but what an overall hassle to cold press juice.

Cleaning and prepping, Triticating/grinding, Inserting the ground up material into a special bag, Pressing and cleaning. Freezing the bags

I guess it works better for really sick people with Gerson but the time expense is signficant

I sold my Norwalk and Greenpower and doubt I will ever buy another when I return to US next year.

A good Blentec or Vitamix is so easy and really I can't tell the health difference except I have a lot more free time, less waste to dispose/compost and less hassles.

Truly cold pressed juice does taste a bit better and cleaner as well as store longer but the longer it's stored it still degrades. Even if its vacuum sealed.
