  1. ^^^ that's a strong dose of Thai Kool Aid your drinking my friend

Even China recognizes the utter superiority of the US universities. 15 of the worlds top 20.

You don't think Thai children could learn English? Are they unable to learn?

Sure there are very happy lower class people in Thailand and we could all learn a lot from their coping skills but there are also vast numbers of bitterness and stoic suffering.

  2. I like how people are assuming the worst of west and the best of Thailand.

I see what people are saying about it's very nice as orphanages go.

How does one know she will not just marry/divorce some selfish alcoholic Thai guy, become a poor single mother and potentially die on the worlds second most dangerous roads?

Really says a lot about how people view opportunties and risk.

  3. Buy some activated charcoal powder and brush with it after your normal baking soda or toothpaste

It's not as fast or as bright as an expensive whitening treatment but if your going to continue to drink coffee/tea then practical and keeps the teeth looking non stained.

Health foods stores or pharmacy supply places sell activated charcoal and its very inexpensive

Might help to use an electric toothbrush like Oral B etc to get the full benefits of brushing with charcoal

  4. Peyton Manning the american football star went from inactive and facing retirement to having one of his best seasons and nearly winning the MVP award after getting PRP.

It's now available in Los Angeles and New York and lots of athletes are having great results on joint injuries.

I doubt Thailand will have it for some time but its no joke and costs about $5k per injury site in the US.

  5. Go from near Maya to Thaepae gate for ~30 baht

and catch another songthae from Thaepae to near Festival for another ~30 baht

Trying to go the whole way and they will charge much more

Also don't try to catch one right at Maya..

Walk a little bit down Huay Kaew before flagging down a songthae and will get a lower price

  6. ^^ yeah Norwalks are top consumer juicer I am aware of.

The juice is a couple notches above anything.

I think the lowest priced Norwalk these days about ~$2000 new

But can find them refurbed for maybe around $1k

It's true a lot of people get hyped about making juice and taper down to not much juicing.

The nice thing about the slow speed juicers is that they are quiet and easier to clean. Also they extract more juice for what is purchased. Definitely slower extraction time however.

The big thing now is vegetable and bone broth. Animal juice with lots of digestive healing glycine and collagen

Good to have some of both really

  7. The slow speed juicers are pretty pricey

Hopefully they never break because if you have to send them back to Taiwan, Korea etc then it's going to be really expensive

Often times just the plastic parts break and can order those in.

I have used top of the line Green Star aka Green Power juicers and even they develope cracks in the extrusion parts. Especially if the flow screw is not backed off.

Here is decent comparison of the major ones.

  8. it's worth opening a lot of macbooks and cleaning the fans of dust

It can really build up and make noise

The pre unibody ones seem to collect more dust

here is how easy it is to clean a unibody macbook

  9. Another option which I am using more is to buy the Magnesium Chloride crystals

It's supposed to be better absorbed transdermally.

They are maybe 500 baht for 500 grams but a little goes a long way.

I dissolve in it clean water and apply with spray bottle

Can google Magnesium Oil to read about it

Good way to apply magnesium without having to use baths

  10. depends on the model

    So its out of warranty?

The installation part is not hard at all and could have a number of shops do it locally if squeamish.

or find youtube video's to show the process. Which model?

If you can order the fan on ebay its very light to ship to Thailand.

There are lots of used fans for sale for a fraction of new fans. New fans in Thailand are going to be expensive.

In the mean time often fans can be lubricated to quiet them. Sometimes its just accumulated dust/dirt causing fan noise.

Again depends on the model. Some can be lubricated with a shot of silicone without opening the computer.

  11. Most the markets have them. Often near Tofu and dried herbs, dried fruits, seasoning sections.

Tanin market has a few vendors in between the fresh vegetable areas and cooked foods

Most of the small markets will have them also. They aren't so perishiable. I have even seen them on those trucks that drive around and sell food supplies to people. It's a basic condiment like palm sugar or chili paste.

If your after the vitamin K-2 benefits then my experience was not that great.

YMMV but the Natto beans - fermented Soy beans -- aka snot beans that can be purchased at Tops/Rimping etc seem to deliver more K 2

    http://www.meguminatto.com/about_natto.html

Or can make your own Natto at home

    http://www.culturesforhealth.com/how-to-make-natto

or How to make Tua Nao yourself

    http://www.foodfromnorthernlaos.com/2012/02/14/tai-neua-soy-bean-paste/

Or you can just buy the fermented bean paste from the market and dry out your own cakes.

I am pretty sure you can find the soy bean paste in most parts of Thailand.

If your just after Tua Nao for taste then there are different varieties.

Some are more thick and sour and some thinner and crispier which I am guessing relates to the paste that is used and drying method.

Usually 5 or 10 baht for a short stack of them.

They look like this and usually have 2 strings around them and often hanging up in the vendor stall.
