BLM at it again in Gov.Walz’s Minneapolis streets …
You are right, thank you for the correction. It's too late for me to edit the post. Minneapolis in 2020 was the second most costly riot in U.S. history, topped only by the Los Angeles riots in 1992 which did $1 billion in damage in LA alone and cost 63 lives.

BLM at it again in Gov.Walz’s Minneapolis streets …
The initial rioting after the death of George Floyd in 2020 did $500,000 in damage to the city and deprived tens of thousands of people of job-related income. Dozens of small minority-owned businesses were destroyed, often burned to the ground. Over 1,500 businesses, large and small, were hurt by the riots. https://www.newsweek.com/businesses-year-after-floyd-1596610

The Most Difficult Airline Passenger Ever?
Mine, too, but only in spirit, not appearance. An interesting video about a woman who refuses to settle her bill at an airport restaurant. Ironically, the woman's given name is "Heavenly."

Molotov Attack at Pro-Israel Rally in Boulder Deemed 'Targeted Terror Attack'
An 88-year-old Holocaust survivor is among the eight Jews injured in the Boulder fire bomb attack. It's a chilling reminder that antisemitism in the U.S. and other countries is beginning to reach the intensity of similar attacks on Jews in Germany in the 1930s. The perp, Mohamed Soliman, shouted "Free Palestine" as he attacked a group of mostly elderly Jews demonstrating peacefully in support of Hamas' hostages. Holocaust survivor among those wounded in antisemitic attack in Colorado, event participant says One of the eight people injured in an attack against a group of people gathered on Boulder's Pearl Street Mall Sunday was a Holocaust survivor, a friend told 9NEWS. A peaceful group gathered to bring attention to Israeli hostages was gathered at the mall Sunday afternoon when a man used a makeshift flamethrower and threw an incendiary device into the crowd, witnesses and law enforcement said. Eight people ages 52 to 88 were injured. https://www.9news.com/article/news/crime/boulder-pearl-street-attack-victims/73-41a24664-43bc-4c06-905b-d241e7a9394f

The Most Difficult Airline Passenger Ever?
Hartsfield-Jackson is a large airport and the concourse which the woman was on was farthest from the domestic terminal. Cops might have thought it was too far to walk if she were to put up a real fight. It never looks good if the cops have to carry a screaming woman through a busy airport. Like in the video below, she fights like hell. The woman in the video below attacked and spit on both the gate agent and the police.

The Most Difficult Airline Passenger Ever?
This is the most difficult airline passenger with whom I've ever seen airport police have to contend. She does everything: fight the cops, run on the tarmac, strip naked in a cell and piss herself. The incident took place more than a year ago, in February, 2024, but the police body cam footage has only been recently released. Watch the first minute to get a summary of what happens, then skip forward to 8.20 if you want to avoid a lot of the banter between the woman and first cop on the scene. They gave me numerous chances to leave the gate. This is a link to the Atlanta PD's official announcement of the incident: https://www.atlantapd.org/Home/Components/News/News/5247/71 Below is a 23-second video from a bystander of the actually takedown of woman on the tarmac that was posted on X shortly after it occurred. The bystander video looks a lot more violent than the body cam footage. I couldn't find any info on what actually happened to her afterwards. I would have thought running out on the tarmac would have resulted in Federal charges. aCjqIVbXb_vTalxG.mp4 From time to time there are reports of unruly passengers at airports in Thailand, but nothing that ever came close to the video.

US Pushes Forward with Private Aid Plan for Gaza Amid UN Opposition
This is why the GHF food aid plan is needed: Palestinians block and empty dozens of UN food lorries in Gaza Strip Palestinians in Gaza have blocked and unloaded 77 food trucks, the UN World Food Programme said, as hunger mounts after Israel’s months-long blockade of the territory. The WFP said the aid, mostly flour, was taken before the trucks could reach their destination. A witness in the southern city of Khan Younis told the Associated Press the UN convoy was stopped at a makeshift roadblock and offloaded by desperate civilians in their thousands. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/palestinians-block-and-empty-dozens-of-un-food-lorries-in-gaza-strip/ar-AA1FPX5Y?ocid=msedgntp&pc=W230&cvid=fa29e5cd879745f9b9c417448947108f&ei=13 The UN and other humanitarian groups are not able to guarantee the fair distribution of food supplies.

US Pushes Forward with Private Aid Plan for Gaza Amid UN Opposition
And the Israeli answer: Israeli sources debunk UN accusation of Israel stopping aid delivery to Gaza Defense officials accused the United Nations on Friday of undermining efforts to supply food to Gazan civilians, adding to the existing tensions between the international body and Israel. The UN had acted as if it lacked the capacity to move food to northern Gaza, thereby stalling hundreds of aid trucks at the Kerem Shalom crossing point, the officials claimed. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/israeli-sources-debunk-un-accusation-of-israel-stopping-aid-delivery-to-gaza/ar-AA1FN11X?ocid=winp2fptaskbarhover&cvid=f07288fe45844484984f8dcb95adfa15&ei=46

US Pushes Forward with Private Aid Plan for Gaza Amid UN Opposition
This is what it is really all about: GHF aid threatens Hamas control in Gaza, UN trying to undermine efforts, sources say The early success of the American-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation-run aid centers has the ability to significantly dent Hamas’s control over food distribution in the coastal enclave, The Jerusalem Post learned Friday. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/ghf-aid-threatens-hamas-control-in-gaza-un-trying-to-undermine-efforts-sources-say/ar-AA1FMHKM?ocid=msedgntp&pc=W230&cvid=bed1863c3ffe4d27956fd5c767bbba0c&ei=21 If Israel can destroy Hamas' control of Gaza, then it has won the war.

US Pushes Forward with Private Aid Plan for Gaza Amid UN Opposition
The Hamas' forces and independent criminal groups are doing everything in their power to sabotage the aid distribution plan because once it succeeds, they will lose their major source of income. The U.N. and humanitarian groups were willing to accept the loss of a certain portion of food aid to Hamas as the cost of distributing the remaining aid. This is not unique to Palestine. The same tolerance of aid pilfering by "warlords" has been observed in Somalia, Sudan and other countries in Africa.

US Pushes Forward with Private Aid Plan for Gaza Amid UN Opposition
The article below dates back to September, 2024, but it gives a good account of the Israeli take on the Gaza aid situation and the reason why the GHF was necessary. Hamas makes half billion from ‘humanitarian’ aid, pays its terrorists https://www.jns.org/hamas-makes-half-billion-from-humanitarian-aid-pays-its-terrorists/ The third sentence in the story is the key one. (Sept. 11, 2024 / JNS) Hamas has profited by at least a half billion dollars from humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip, Channel 12 reported on Tuesday. Approximately 200 aid trucks enter the Palestinian enclave daily. “It’s actually become the main oxygen pipeline for the terrorist organization,” reported Channel 12‘s Almog Boker. Hamas steals the humanitarian aid and sells it to the population. It then uses the money to finance recruitment, Boker said, noting that 3,000 terrorists have been added to Hamas’s payroll in northern Gaza. The Jewish News Syndicate is a wire service. It is not Israeli-owned or under the control of the Israeli government.

Five Years After George Floyd: The Woke Uprising and Its Unraveling Consequences
The rioting, looting, vandalism and similar violence that went along with the George Floyd protests turned many people off to BLM. Between May 26 and June 8, between $1 billion and $2 billion in damages were done to businesses and apartment buildings as well as public buildings and facilities. Millions more in damages were done in the following months. Millions had their lives turned upside down and thousands lost their livelihoods. Shoplifting on a massive scale and smash-and-grab robberies occurred daily in major cities. Rarely were perpetrators arrested and when they were, prosecutors allowed them to go free. At the same time, DEI-inspired courses on white bias became mandatory in schools and at places of work. Jews noticed a surge in antisemitism, especially after Oct. 7, 2023. In total, the quality of life diminished for many U.S. urban dwellers. Against this background, many U.S. voters turned to Trump and other Republicans to stop the "upending" of the way of life they had previously enjoyed. At every level, the BLM movement went too far.

Trump Admin Revokes Harvard’s Right to Enroll International Students
Harvard doesn't have any major antisemitism lawsuits pending against it. The problem which remains is that Harvard refuses to punish minority students for antisemitic behavior. A lot of the harassment of Jewish students is not related to demonstrations. Jewish students are bullied and harassed in classrooms, dorms, other campus building and while walking around the campus. The admin has failed to take any meaningful action even when the offenders were known and reported. Harvard University settles two antisemitism lawsuits one day after Trump takes office CNN-One day after the inauguration of President Donald Trump, who has said he would “remove the Jew haters” if reelected, Harvard University has settled two lawsuits accusing the Ivy League school of failing to protect Jewish students from antisemitic bullying and harassment on campus. In the settlement with the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law, Jewish Americans for Fairness in Education, and Students Against Antisemitism — a group of six Jewish students — Harvard agreed to make several changes to how it addresses antisemitism on campus. https://www.cnn.com/2025/01/21/us/harvard-antisemitism-lawsuit/index.html

George Floyd’s legacy under siege as racial justice efforts lose ground, memorials removed…
It's not without reason Black Lives Matter became known as Buy Large Mansions. Inside BLM co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors’ million-dollar real estate buying binge As protests broke out across the country in the name of Black Lives Matter, the group’s co-founder went on a real estate buying binge, snagging four high-end homes for $3.2 million in the US alone, according to property records. Patrisse Khan-Cullors, 37, also eyed property in the Bahamas at an ultra-exclusive resort where Justin Timberlake and Tiger Woods both have homes, The Post has learned. Luxury apartments and townhouses at the beachfront Albany resort outside Nassau are priced between $5 million and $20 million, according to a local agent. https://nypost.com/2021/04/10/inside-blm-co-founder-patrisse-khan-cullors-real-estate-buying-binge/?__twitter_impression=true&s=09 According to one report, Khan-Cullors lost two of her three LA mansions to wildfires: https://www.sportskeeda.com/pop-culture/news-how-afford-those-internet-reacts-blm-co-founder-patrisse-cullors-reportedly-losing-2-3-la-mansions-wildfires Khan-Cullors also channeled nearly $1 million to her brother: BLM paid co-founder Patrisse Cullors’ graffiti artist brother $800K for ‘security’ https://nypost.com/2022/05/18/blm-paid-patrisse-cullors-graffiti-artist-brother-800k-for-security/ There has never been a full accounting of how BLM used the $90 million in donations, but a lot of people associated with it got very rich. No one knows exactly how all the money was spent and by whom.

Trump Admin Revokes Harvard’s Right to Enroll International Students
This happened during the previous Trump administration, but didn't get much reaction: US revokes visas for 1,000 Chinese students deemed security risk 10 September 2020 The US says it has revoked the visas of more than 1,000 Chinese students and researchers who are deemed to be a security risk. The move follows a proclamation by President Donald Trump in May aimed at Chinese nationals suspected of having ties to the military. He said some had stolen data and intellectual property. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-54097437 Near the end of 2024, U.S. institutions of higher learning had more than 1.1 million students enrolled. Even if 10,000 are kicked out, that would be less than 1%. https://www.iie.org/news/us-hosts-more-than-1-1-million-intl-students-at-higher-education-institutions-all-time-high/ Also keep in mind it's an everyday occurrence for foreign students to lose their status or have their visas revoked. It's mostly due to the students failing to maintain their academic status by flunking out or quitting school to work illegally in the U.S. Some have gotten in trouble with U.S. law over misdemeanors like traffic offenses or shoplifting, but sometimes more serious crimes. That violates the terms of their visas. Visa revocations are nothing new. I couldn't find more up-to-date info, but between 2001 and 2015, "a State Department official says the U.S. has revoked more than 122,000 visas since 2001, including 9,500 because of the threat of terrorism." https://www.cbsnews.com/news/u-s-revokes-visas-based-on-threats-of-terrorism-official-says/ I wrote about this is a different thread, but I'll repeat it here because it is relevant. It's easy to weed out potential terrorists during their interviews at U.S. consulates. The consular officer should be able to tell if the students are telling the truth.

Trump Admin Revokes Harvard’s Right to Enroll International Students
There have been several lawsuits by Jewish students against Harvard, including one by Shabbos Kestenbaum, prominent in the above video. However, lawsuits haven't always proved effective, even though the Jewish students got settlements that were in their favor. The problem is that Harvard in practice doesn't abide by the terms to which it has agreed, It never takes any real action against antisemitic students. The Trump administration can swing a heavier club.

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2025)
Bourne was the youngest colour sergeant in the British army at that time. He went on to have a long and successful career in the army, retiring with the rank of Lt. Colonel. The movie Zulu was great entertainment and accurately portrayed the intensity of the Battle of Rorke's Drift, but got a number of details of the battle wrong. That's OK by me- Zulu is based on fact, it doesn't pretend to be a documentary. The preclude to Zulu, covering the Battle of Isandlwana in which 1,300 British soldiers were massacred, is available free on YouTube as Zulu Dawn. Isandlwana was the worst defeat by indigenous troops the British army ever suffered and the Zulus did it without rifles but with overwhelming numerical superiority. It's worth watching, but nowhere near as good a movie as Zulu.
