A lot of people in the centre / centre right of politics are sick of the left shoving all the woke cr4p down their throats. Getting the Dems out to avoid another 4 years of wokery was more important than worrying about Trump. Blame the loony left for this result. I'm a Brit and I'd vote for anyone if it got Labour out.

We're talking specifically about sports here, and trans women having an unfair advantage in women's sports. Do you agree that a man who now identifies as a woman has an advantage over born women in sports? If you do agree then surely you don't need to be defending the trans side of the argument. If you don't agree, then please explain why trans men don't make it to the top level of men's sports.

Sadiq Khan Calls Out Trump’s Racism and Extends an Olive Branch

It's fine until you venture into the ghettos, places like Tower Hamlets. You wouldn't want to be white and walking alone around that sh hole. The Bangladeshi 'community' there gave me a very warm welcome about 15 years ago when I was walking back to my Isle of Dogs room alone. 6 kind young men relieved me of all my possessions at knifepoint. Maybe Khan can take Trump for a wander around Tower Hamlets after 9pm. -

I'm the opposite, I always like to read the early comments and if I get bored I'll jump to the later ones. But maybe I'm in the minority -

I find it really irritating too. I thought it must be an issue with my computer / browser, or that I was going mad. -
Labour’s Broken Promises and Two-Tier Governance Are Dividing Britain
CG1 Blue replied to Social Media's topic in World News
And some families who can't afford the IHT tax bill may give in and sell the land to a developer. You make some decent points, but surely you must agree that we need more farms to secure our future food supply, and that this new policy will likely result in fewer farms not more farms. -
Labour’s Broken Promises and Two-Tier Governance Are Dividing Britain
CG1 Blue replied to Social Media's topic in World News
There's a very good reason why farmers have 'benefitted' from IHT exemptions. The farm land handed on to the next generation isn't the same as someone inheriting their parent's house. It's a legacy to continue the hard work of producing the UK's food and crops. We need more agricultural producers, not fewer. So the argument that this will only put a handful of farms out of business doesn't hold water. It's a step in the wrong direction! Why didn't Labour have a long consultation period to figure out how to do this without putting farms out of business? They could've worked out a way to only penalise those who immediately sell the land after inheriting it, and protect those who will carry on the family business. -
Labour’s Broken Promises and Two-Tier Governance Are Dividing Britain

But as ever the Labour government decided to throw the baby out with the bath water. The same way they took away the winter fuel payments from pensioners who need it just to spite wealthy pensioners who don't need it. Working farms being passed through the generations need protection. They are the heartbeat of a nation and provide food security. How are the next generation going to find £200,000+ of cash (minimum) to pay a tax bill? They'll more likely have to sell up. -
Clashes and Arrests as Tommy Robinson Supporters March Through London

Sometimes breaking the law is the only way to expose the real truth. I'm glad someone has the balls to do it. He also puts his life in constant danger, considering the nutters he exposes and the way they like to take retribution. -
Clashes and Arrests as Tommy Robinson Supporters March Through London

Based on what you saw in that video, a (potentially deadly) sucker punch followed by further punches and kicks when the bloke was on the floor, what background circumstances do you think would get him off a charge of assault? If he was a Reform party member he'd probably be on his way to the clink already. -
Do you also believe protecting the environment and eco system? Because that's not done by concreting over green fields. The UK has lost 60% of it's wildlife species since the 60's. I often hear liberal folk saying we need to build more houses, then in the next breath talking about protecting the environment. A total contradiction! We need to get control of immigration to slow down the UK population explosion, not destroy our countryside in order to house them all!

King Charles: Australia's Future as a Republic Rests with Its People
CG1 Blue replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It's not all about trade. Relations between the two nations are good as far as I can see: "AUKUS is a trilateral security partnership between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States intended to "promote a free and open Indo-Pacific that is secure and stable."[1] Initially announced on 15 September 2021, the partnership involves two lines of effort referred to as pillars.[2][3] Pillar 1 focuses on Australia acquiring nuclear-powered attack submarines and the rotational basing of US and UK nuclear-powered attack submarines in Australia.[4] Pillar 2 entails the collaborative development of advanced capabilities in six technological areas: undersea capabilities, quantum technologies, artificial intelligence and autonomy, advanced cyber, hypersonic and counter-hypersonic capabilities, and electronic warfare; and in two broader functional areas: innovation and information sharing" -
Italy's Offshore Migration Scheme in Albania Has Begun
CG1 Blue replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It's a start, it's early days. The main thing is it will act as a deterrent, in the same way migrants started diverting to Ireland when Rwanda was a possibility for the UK. You watch the number of migrants heading to Italy drop off once the scheme gets established. That is unless the ECJ scupper the plan -
Dutch Tourist Hurls Objects at Udon Thani Café Staff Over Change Dispute
CG1 Blue replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
In all my years of drinking I've never resorted to throwing things around at staff. Especially something like that large floor standing fan which could've caused serious injury to that lady. He has issues, and shouldn't drink alcohol. Maybe you feel YOU could lose it like that, but you don't speak for me or most other ordinary blokes. -
Drunk Indian Tourist Assaulted After Harassing Woman on Pattaya Beach
CG1 Blue replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Wow, there are virtually no women in that entire video of Delhi. The streets entirely full of men. What a depressing thought! Might explain why a lot of Indian men can't control themselves when they see a few women out and about. -

If Hamas / Palestinians had the military capability they'd kill a LOT more than 40,000 Israelis. They'd kill ALL the Jews in the world if they had the capability. We should be thankful they're relatively weak in a military sense. Israel on the other hand could wipe their enemies off the map if they chose to, but instead have kept casualties down to a modest 40,000 (which includes 19,000 Hamas operatives). -
Do you have any evidence that the 'people' committing terror attacks on Europe's streets have experienced any of those things you mentioned? Let's start with the killers of Lee Rigby. Or the 7/7 bombers in London. Did any of them have their family blown to pieces? The attacks are by fanatical Islamists bent on the destruction of non believers. Plenty of Christians and people of other faiths have lost their lives in the conflicts you refer to, but you don't see radicalised Christians carrying out these attacks on members of the public (or you rarely do).

That's what I was thinking. She's the VP, so everything she campaigns about has to align with Biden's stance and policies. A very unusual situation. Presumably she had to get Biden's nod for this 'position shift' on the border wall. Biden should've stepped down to allow Harris to run her own campaign.
