I love my cheese but what’s Branston got to do with bringing cheese into Thailand. Love both.

Moo71, thanks for the reply, good idea, I did have a colour printer a few years ago but guess what they got borrowed by other family members and never seen it since. Today I was going out to get a new set of photographs for my frequent trips to Lao and was going to drop into the driving center but my sister in law has not shown up. Will suggest your way to her but pretty sure the printer is long gone or beyond repair.
-
Weary, you will need a minimum of three pages, one for Lao visa, one for Thailand and the third for in/out stamps.
Don’t forget the photographs.

Why bother when there is a perfectly good cheese shop within Central Hall Bangkok.
Anything from fine Cheddar to Stilton etc.

How about a cowboy outfit - the Thai police springs to mind.

LEGO building bricks.

Thankyou for your reply. Just a couple of questions when you have the time.
Did your wife’s uncle have to provide anything, medical letter from hospital or certificate. Has he retained his driving license or was it required to be returned.
You say to collect his badge, do you have to order it or are they readily available or just under consideration while the cogs are in motion.
Lastly how long did this take from applying to collecting, and how much did it cost.

So in my case I’m technically breaking the law. Purchased car brand new from a main dealer in Bangkok. Went through the usual red plate saga.
Received my new plates which I’m told are Bangkok plates, never had any problems or issues with the police and been like this for over 12 years.
All up to date with tax and insurance no problem for me so I think some people just get their knickers in a twist over nothing.
-
So if you go on vacation that takes you through different provinces you have to change your plates. What rubbish.
-
JOC, and I thought this was about registration plates. As far as I’m concerned there is no need to change them, the plates that is. Silly reply I don’t think so.
-
I purchased my vehicle in Bangkok, never had any issues with registration plates.
You guys seem to like making trouble for yourselves, what’s the point I don’t think the cops are overly interested.

This was on Google earlier on. Nothing new.

Depends what you want. Multiple entry based on marriage then no funds needed to be shown. Normal original paperwork with signed copies and the money to pay for it. Don’t forget the Lao requirement etc.

I asked the same question some time ago. It seem’s the best possible route is to go to your local driving license center, I didn’t follow it through as it’s possible they would require your license back, as I often use mine as ID it didn’t seem worth it. I always park in disabled spaces without any issues.
Anyone with eyesight can see I have problems walking.

vi2004, Same cost as you but these day’s I don’t even get out of the car.
I don’t live far from Mukdahan so it’s not such a big deal with a combined shop.
-
I did it in December, absolutely no problems. The only hassle your going to suffer is the bus over and back. These day’s I don’t use them and prefer the services of a trusted driver who does all the running about for me.
This costs more but I’m out of the place in less than an hour.
Don’t forget the photograph for the Lao side and if your doing this route every 90 day’s like me ask for some additional forms, cuts down on the time.

As a young boy I remember seeing lights in the sky while laying on what used to be my old school playing field. After all these years I have come to the conclusion they were car head lights on full beam driving up hills from the south coast, Brighton.

Are you sure they weren’t mozzies, or is it the drugs your on.

Send me a few thousand Baht and I will send you a detailed personal prediction.

baboon, never tasted piss like you so can’t compare it to Chang.
-
banjoe, well said, I’m still waiting to hear what’s wrong with men from southern England and vegetarians.
-
Argh what’s your problem with vegetarians from southern England and Chang drinkers. I’m both.

I personally have done little in the way of change. Been a vegitarian from an early age, 62 years old now. Did have a physiotherapist visit me three times weekly from our local hospital but after objections from my mother in law, wife and just about anyone else who wanted to weigh in she decided to end the sessions.
After suffering my stroke I purchased a exercise bike/machine, parallel bars and some 1kg weights. Can't drive anymore, tend my garden or shop without the help of my wife's sister (wife lives and works in Bangkok).
Day to day I use a walking frame and when shopping a tripod until I get a cart.
Just a after thought I also needed hip replacement surgery after a fall, good life ain't it.
