Really are you sure??? That's strange because Im there 3 times a week and it's a set price , prices are on the board. Usually between 20 to 40 baht. Motorcycle rent start 150.baht for the day, so saying they are charging 600 just for a 5 minutes motorbike taxi is very hard to belive.

It looks like parts of Vietnam are bringing back in restrictions already, numbers starting to bounce back over there too..

I also find it strange that people are reportedly buying expensive flight tickets back to their home country instead of trying a different I'mmigration office or contacting a visa agent to ask them to help out. I personally know 4 people who all got extensions this week no problems whatsoever.

Free ride??? How is paying for a visa extension a free ride? I get the feeling you haven't got a clue what your talking about.

Everything exactly the same as the before ,just ticked the box that says no embasy letter same as I always do,nothing about flights, everything done very quickly. The only difference was the stamp ,I still have to go back on the date my previous extension expires, the lady said when I come back I will get 60days added on then.

OK just been to immigration applied for covid extension exactly the same requirements as before,my extension was due to finish Dec 20th, so I applied 3 weeks early so I thought I would have got the 30 days underconsderation stamp added on which would take me to January 20th. I was told to still come back again December 20th and will then get 60day.

Very interesting, well if an amnesty is given until 31st of December, what happens after that date? Will it be back to covid extensions or what will happen? Maybe land borders will be open by then.

Covid extensions tru agents seem to be 6k in Huahin and Pattaya areas, hope your friend tried to do it himself at immigration, I hate seen anyone handing money over to these agents.

Yes will do, I was in immigration on Tuesday and you could definitely sense things were different, completely different setup and all staff wearing gloves.

Thank you your reply, I was thinking the same , going to go down tommorow and get another 60 days which would keep me good until mid February. Why would they bring back visa amnesty? Is there a reason why it would be brought back?

I highly doubt it. Anybody looking to spend a few weeks on a beach certainly wouldn't be choosing Cambodia, and with pub street under construction siem reap ain't looking to great at the moment. I'm a fan of Cambodia but it can't offer what Thailand can.

In all fairness how can anyone believe anything they hear on TV from media outlets, the lies and mistruths is absaloutly mind numbing.

Don't worry tourist numbers will come back very quickly, people should enjoy the quiet beaches while they can,it ain't gonna stay quiet forever.
