    That is sage advice however,

Ford Ranger Australia first service - 1000km.

Ford Ranger Thailand first service - 15000km.

Seems even the OEM's are confused !

I know of other similar examples:

Suzuki Thailand Thai language owner's manual first service - 1000km

Suzuki Thailand English language owner's manual first service - 15000km

Manufacturers are, however, pretty consistent in terms of what they say about engine running in/break in procedure.

You have to learn how to carry it looking cool???? Difficult to describe. Hand inside under the strap, then resting on rim. It becomes almost part of you and you can use it like a basket if in 7-Eleven/Tops. et al.

I usually end up holding it between my knees when at the checkout to have both hands free.  Unfortunately that leaves me immobile until I finish faffing about with money and purchases.

Do you, by any chance, have any links on the whole helmet coolness thing.  Videos, support groups, whatever...????

Interesting. We have an 8 year old 125 Wave in great condition but considering passing it on to the family. I am tempted by the newer technology ,cvt transmission and bigger engine of the Honda click 160 although missus favours another 125 Wave which has barely changed. We don’t use it beyond short journeys often filling the spacious under seat with shopping,or my full face Arai helmet (which also actually just squeezes under the click seat.
    Any suggestions /tips?

I prefer the Honda Wave type transmission to CVT but the point you make about the under seat storage is a good one.

I too use an Arai full face and leaving it parked on a mirror isn't a good option so I walk around with it like a numpty.

Suzuki celerio are you kidding worst car in thailand piece of <deleted> car don't recommend of you can only recommend a <deleted>ty car wtf is that about..

The Celerio is a useful benchmark.

A high spec Mazda 2 is double the cost of a Celerio.

The Wildtrak is four times the price of a Celerio.

A cheap Fortuner is five times the price of a Celerio.

They all do the same job.

I've never heard a pickup referred to as a "City Car."  If you live in rural Thailand?  Good choice.

In metro BKK?  Not so much.  And 11km/lt?  <gag>

You can buy a Suzuki Celerio for about 320K that gets 23km/lt.  THAT - is a "city car."

Well, live and learn.  Erase 100K THB right off the top for your mistake and move on.

Fun fact:  You can buy four new Suzuki Celerios for the list price of a Wildtrak 4x4

    Thanks for all suggestions…

I’ve never actually had a car diagnosed on the computer. Does the fault actually have to be happening or can the computer suggest something when it’s running normally.?

The ECU stores fault codes.  So even if the car is running fine when it is at the dealer the historic fault code will show when they scan it.

I think this is the one with 8 spark plugs?  The back set are a bit difficult to get at and get overlooked. Change them out if they've not been done recently and only use NGK or Denso.

Get yourself an OBD reader so you can monitor temperature and view stored codes.

Correct.  It is the one with 8 plugs.

I think these small miniature cars talked about are death traps.  Many accidents in Thailand get rammed by a Fortuner, good luck.

When I am not driving a car I am riding a motorbike and I don't consider either activity particularly dangerous.

Actually MG is extremely honest with the info, even conservative, or have been with the ZS, ICE & EV.

ZS promo stated 11 kp/L, using E85, and quite accurate, although you'll get 14 kp/L using 91.   Designed for E85, and used to be 29% cheaper, so about the same cost per 100 kms.   Performed a wee bit better on E85, but not enough to give up the kp/L now, since basically the same price, almost.

EV quotes 403/NEDC & 320/WLTP rating. Have actually gotten 403, rare, and most don't expect to, as don't drive that slow that long.   But we do consistently get 360 kms in 'ECO' mode, and that's at highway speed/90kph.  Car states more than 320 in 'Normal' and 308, I think in 'Sport'.  Assuming they are as accurate as 'ECO' which is more than enough performance on the highway.

That's interesting because Toyota Thailand's claimed fuel consumption for the Revo is way better than Toyota UK claim for the same truck and both are much better than reality.

Peeked at but never drove a Celerio or Swift, but don't think I'll be suggesting them as cheap transport in the future.

Daughter is in the market for a new car, and I suggested Celerio, and of course she likes the styling of the Swift.   Until driving around with her friend, who owns a Swift, and said it's a POS.  Considering she's coming from a 10+ yr old Mazda 2, that's saying a lot.

Being the Celerio is ~150k cheaper than the Swift, she's rightfully thinking, the ride is probably even worse.  She does a bit of highway driving, up to Rangsit frequently, so wants something better, comfort & power.

Test driving the MG5 soon, as I think I'll do the same, and let her know my thoughts.  Priced about the same as the Swift, so should be a better choice.

Spec wise, no comparison, MG5 superior, larger more powerful engine, and a bunch of airbags ????

Ride quality of the Celerio is actually very good and I was surprised at how effortlessly it dealt with a 500 km trip.

Both the Swift and the Mazda 2 are undeniably better looking than the Celerio.

MG5?  How many km/litre?  And I don't mean what they say in the brochure.

I assume you meant to say 'your address in Thai'. And nor does anyone else in the entire world outside of Thailand. Which is why the postal authorities need to/are supposed to understand English.

As it it, I wanted to send a letter from the Nana post office in Bangkok to Kalasin, and she wanted to know what country Kalasin is in. So they appear to not know very much.

I presume you told her redneck country ????

I just received a letter from UK Pensions , it arrived yesterday , the date on the letter head is the 13th March the post mark on the envelope is the 16th March.

In the first paragraph of the letter it states " I must return the document within 25 days ".

    Yeh okay.

I had a similar situation with a UK bank.  "If we do not receive a reply within 28 days your account will be suspended."

The letter arrived after the 28 day deadline.  The account was suspended and it could only be reactivated by a visit in person to a branch of the bank in the UK.

I use normal Thailand Post (or Royal Mail the other way) to actual addresses because of the reliability I've experienced every time.

    In my experience reliability varies.

Thai Post was pretty reliable at my last address.

At my current address in a different province Thai Post is very unreliable.
