I have received the letter of support from the British Embassy. I have yet to present it to Thai immigration.
I am not going to go into the full details of my personal circumstances on a public forum but here are a couple of points you may wish to note:
1. There was no auto-reply
2. In the E mail that accompanied the letter of support the British Embassy made clear that they would provide this letter only once.

1 hour ago, Caldera said:From reports, visa agents can help you get a medical extension without seeing a medical doctor. By going that route, no embassy letter is required.
Because of my determination to get an extension of stay in Thailand by legitimate means I smoked solidly for forty years and got myself a proper documented medical condition.
And they still wouldn't give me an extension.
Doh!

Not completely correct. The are issuing them but their wording for them is a bit odd.
Thank you Joe.
Do you know anywhere I can see the form of words the British Embassy are using.
Another possibility in my case is that I am unfortunate in that I suffer from a comorbitity that makes both air travel and travel to a country with one of the worst records in handling covid inadvisable. In fact those are the real reasons why I am so keen to avoid travelling to my home country now.
Seeing the form of words used by the British Embassy would help me decide whether to contact them, my doctor, or possibly both.

Am I right in assuming that the British Embassy will not provide letters required by Thai immigration for a 30 day extension beyond 26 September?

The last one was ten days in advance.
Cabinet decision on 21 July.
Amnesty expired on 31 July.
Initial press reporting of the cabinet decision was imprecise and at times contradictory.

I sent a letter to the UK by EMS on 27 July.
Eight days later it is stuck in a backlog of post either:
(a) at Suvarnabhumi as the Parcelforce tracking system tells me; or
(b) in an unscanned backlog in the UK as the Thai post office asserts.
I am updating this as the information may be helpful to others.
This item of post sent by EMS arrived at its destination in the UK today. From posting the letter in Chumphon to arrival at destination in the UK took nine days.
It is clear from the updated online tracking record that the delay was at Suvarabhumi airport. Once the letter arrived in the UK it was delivered by Parcelforce in less than 24 hours.

It's Chinese.
The tyres defy logic on a vehicle that so lacks power that you need to minimise rolling resistance.

Back in the 90s I used to fly with a Thai friend of mine out of Sriracha airfield in Chonburi which accommodates General Aviation.
One time he pointed to the biggest and fanciest aeroplane at Sriracha and told me that it belonged to Red Bull.
In the 90s there were no immigration or customs controls at that airfield and my guess is that remains the case.

A good piece in today's Guardian about Pompeo's attempt to build a multilateral response to China's malign actions:

So now Pompeo wants international solidarity and support from the countries Trump has dissed for the last four years?

Which beach are you talking about as two beaches are mentioned

I live 20km away and I first went to that beach in 1992. The beach is normally strewn with rubbish and inhabited by rats. It will be again as soon as visitors return there.
The bars and restaurants are low rent and often tacky and there is a big problem with mosquitoes in the evening.
Some poor sod must have given TV some money for this puff piece.

If the admitted until date on your arrival stamp is April 15th you are already on the amnesty unless you applied for a 60 day extension.
You visas expiration date means nothing now. You would be extending the 90 day entry from your visa.
Before deciding on using the agent you need to think about the cost of doing it.
I am sure you will not be able to do a border hop until after June.
Are you sure on that interpretation Joe?
The reason I ask is because I was in my local immigration office on 22 May 2020. I was there to get a letter confirming my place of residence for a vehicle purchase. They pulled my details up on screen which showed that my last 90 day entry was on 27 December 2019 until 25 March 2020. I extended my stay at their office by 60 days until 24 May 2020.
They told me on 22 May 2020 that I am lawfully here until 31 July with no need to extend my stay or do further 90 day reports until then.
Your interpretation seems to suggest that I am unwittingly an overstayer which is pretty alarming to me.

I use the name Dominic Cummings because it is clear he can go anywhere.
But safety first. I use my own pen.

The short answer to your question is no it will not work.
Here is a website that will enable you to work out what is required:
https://www.irrigationtutorials.com/
A water tower 5 to 6 metres gives only 0.5 to 0.6 bar of pressure before losses in the system.
My finger in the breeze estimate is that you need a 2hp centrifugal pump at the base of the tower, 2" pipework and break up the area into zones using valves to water one zone at a time.
Better if you do the research and calcs though.
Personally I wouldn't bother with a water tower at all. Cheaper, safer and easier to maintain the system using water storage at ground level.

Try here:
They are in your neck of the woods I believe.
Head East along Rangsit-Nakon Nayok road then turn left onto Klong Sip and they are about 150 metres along on the right. They make chipper shredders that seemed decent quality to me. I am unsure whether they make something small enough to meet your requirements though.

I should have added to my first post about the UMK435T that Honda also do a lighter and cheaper model which is, I think, the UMK425. Doubtless it is on Honda's website.
From memory it is around 1kg lighter and it would probably be fine for light to medium garden work.
-
We have three Honda UMK435T brush cutters.
The Honda is excellent for quality and reliability. We use them for farm work so they get plenty of heavy use. We run them on gasohol 91 and, of course, there is no pre-mixing fuel with oil. You do have to change the engine oil every now and then but you can do that in under a minute and they take 60ml of oil.
We used to use Robin prior to changing to the Hondas over a decade ago. They are very popular with Thais but I found them unreliable, hard to start and they use way more fuel than Honda. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say the Robin is highly recommended by repair shops.
-
I don't know the price of the Honda EU10i and EU22i generators but I am pretty sure they are way more expensive than your proposed budget.
-
Honda EU10i or Honda EU22i are my suggestions. They are 1Kw and 2.2Kw respectively.
High quality products that will not destroy your laptop.

Can order at any Honda Power Products dealer.

I requested the letter of support by E mail on 30 August and received the letter on 1 September.
