  1. My FIL fixes flatscreens most every day.
  2. If you take an honest look at the curve of your graph, it supports my position. Look at computer costs, The cost comes down exponentially at first, and then levels out. A computer today, costs about the same (or more) as a computer costed ten years ago, and they are just not that much better. We often hear claims about how solar and wind are cheaper than fossil fuel, but with both solar and wind, you still have to have duplicate capacity in fossil-fuel or nuclear generators. I don't doubt we'll continue to see improvements in solar, but nuclear is clearly a much safer bet if CO2 truly is an existential threat. And again, solar does not work at night, and often does not work during the day. Unless perovskites PVs will work perpendicular to the sun, how spraying it on windows even work, much less reduce costs? Solar panels already cheaper than a good window.
  3. No, what I meant was I do not think companies that made messes legally fifty years ago should be held responsible for their fifty-year-old messes. I am sorry that was not clear. I think every coal plant should be replaced with nuclear. Solar farms can reduce how much coal plants burn, but they can't eliminate them.
  4. So you agree that use of fossil-fuels allows the world to support a larger population?
  5. No, I am merely acknowledging that putting a lot of time and effort into gathering up the information would be a waste of time. The biggest would be that (I think) mail-in ballots overwhelming favored President Biden, which is not a surprise, but that the rejection rate plummeted.
  6. To be clear, you want to criminally punish the citizens that hire them, but at the same time you want to make it legal for illegal immigrants to work, is that correct? Flooding the market with low and no skilled labor drives wages down for low and no skilled workers. I worked as farm labor in California, Montana and Florida. If people need money, they'll work.
  7. Seriously? The court has not ruled yet, as it just happened a few days ago, but the media is calling a protest.
  8. You are conflating legal immigration with illegal immigration. Is it your position that it's the "...best, brightest, most hard-working and ambitious..." people from all over the world flooding across the border? Virtually all illegal aliens enjoy at least some level of public assistance. I think over half of STEM related master's degrees are issued to foreign students. We already get the best and brightest. Allowing people to flood across the border hurts everyone but the rich, it hurts everyone else, and disproportionally hurts the poor (working or otherwise) in the United States. If Hispanics did not support the left by a wide margin, the borders would be closed.
  9. I think those are the gun control activists that stormed Tennessee State Capitol in Nashville. Had they been right-wingers protesting child mutilation, it would have been an insurrection, but because they were leftists it was called a protest.
  10. Is it your position that that General Milley and others did not your contemptuous words against the President?
  11. They? You have a SBEV and a bunch of solar panels you love, only because people are doing something about it. Indeed
  12. The concern is not what laws there are, but what laws there will be if the folks at C40.org and the like have their way. Is it your position that people should only be allowed to travel when it is necessary?
  13. Are you claiming he did not? Are you claiming he did not?
  14. I look at the US military today and I am appalled, as are (I think) a majority of other Americans. That you did not call for Mark Milley's resignation as well as all the other officers that were openly disparaging their Commander in Chief speaks to where your allegiance really lies. I watch the available footage of the Capital riots and when I hear it referred to as an insurrection, I am appalled (albeit amused). Clearly when the left riots it's a protest, but when the right riots it's an insurrection. For at least a year the left was calling it an "armed insurrection", but they finally had to drop the "armed" part, so now it was just an "insurrection", how funny is that?
  15. I can't speak to computers, but diagnostic modules for Honda, Toyota and many other makes are readily available. Getting proprietary parts is a much different issue.
  16. Who could I show that to? Certainly not you, been there, done that.
  17. Nor are solar panels. Not true, disposal has been safely managed for decades. The cost has come down significantly, and the dangers/deaths are significantly exaggerated. Everything kills people. That's hilarious, that people actually buy in even more so. How many dead if we turned off all the fossil fuel plants?
  18. Again, that just has not been my experience.
  19. That has not been my experience here. It seems to me, like people just post links the articles written by people they agree with.
  20. The OP (apparently) has a dental plan in the US and I think most every dental plan covers extractions.
  21. Again, even if he had "...tried overthrow a legitimate election via a coup...", which he did not, that still does not explain in any way "...the level of vitriol posted at Trump.".
  22. He did get quite a bit of wall built, and it would have been much more but for the left needing to keep the boarder open. The American people by a wide margin want a secure border, and wanted the wall built. The left does not. Trump does everything he can to secure the boarder and get the wall built, and the left does everything it can to stop him. The left fights tooth and nail to stop the wall the American people want, and then the left blames Trump for the wall not being built.
