  1. I think Israel is at a turning point. I think if they do not finish it with Hamas now. it will be the end for them, particularly if the next US election goes as I assume it will. What do the people criticizing Israel think they should do?
  2. You ever consider that 25 years ago you were 25 years younger?
  3. Er, what? No, don't bother, I know what you meant.
  4. I think the UN should compel the IDF to drop warning leaflets before they bomb targets the way Hamas does when they shoot the rockets.
  5. What are you, a college professor? They don't lose money on the booking, they lose money fulfilling the booking. An occupied room costs the more than a vacant room, for a number of reasons. One would hope
  6. Only in deep blue cities...
  7. It's a manufacturing joke. But because the hotel is losing money, it's not zero, it would add up to a bigger and bigger loss with each booking.
  8. Only watches might be more accurate. "What do you see in them that you don't like about yourself?"
  9. From your mouth to God's ear...
  10. Anyone under 19 is considered an innocent child even if they are fighting with Hamas.
  11. I think the only thing that should be acceptable to Israel is Hamas releasing the hostages and surrendering.
  12. Are you implying it's not okay?
  13. I thought you we are talking about Canadians in general, not "Canadians traveling abroad CONSTANTLY". You're right. I'll concede that it may be hard to distinguish Canadians that travel abroad CONSTANTLY from US citizens that are not from The Northeast, the Southeast, the Deep South, the Midwest, the Southwest, or any large metropolitan area east of the Rockies. We good now? Incidentally, I love the way the girls talk in Connecticut...
  14. Kids in the US can't even ride in the back of a pickup anymore, they have a ball here.
  15. My brother and his family came about 10-15 years ago for a couple weeks, and we all had a good time. I think it's more attractive to people in the US now then it was then.
  16. I disagree. Even Canadians (thick as they are eh) can tell. And it is pretty easy to distinguish different areas of the US.
  17. I can almost always tell people from the US by the way they talk, and often about where in the US they were raised. I can usually tell Canadians, except for Quebeckers, they sound European. It's pretty easy to tell Americans from other westerners in restaurants and hotels, because they are generally smiling and treat the staff respectfully.
  18. I believe the hilarity of this single post has won you my vote for poster of the year. Congratulations!
  19. And even less of what you watch in documentaries.
  20. Thai had BKK-LAX (over Pacific) and BKK-JFK (over Atlantic) non-stops for a few years. I loved the nonstop LAX flight, sorry to see it go. Singapore used to (may still) have a nonstop to Las Vegas that was nice.
