  1. No broiler?
  2. Children need direction and structure, not someone to play with.
  3. At least until AFTER they are elected.
  4. Why? Do you think Clarence Thomas could get a job at Harvard Law? The decisions they make and the influence they can peddle (like generals or any other high-ranking official moving on and off of defense contractor boards and whatnot) would largely determine where they could go. That is the problem. I said it was another issue, not a compelling reason.
  5. Thank you. The DA has to have a law that has been broken, and has to have a judge and or jury to agree. By refusing treatment, you mean refusing abortion, is that correct? Do you have any actual examples that support this claim? Which hospitals seem to have a lot of, yes?
  6. A term limit may impact their decisions, as they would generally have to plan on doing something after their term. Like generals or any other high-ranking official moving on and off of defense contractor boards and whatnot. Another issue is that they would not be allowed to defend their decisions once they were off the court.
  7. I'm sorry, I thought when you said: "The trouble is, in most of those states the doctors don't get final say in judging what constitutes a potential threat and what doesn't. It's the state that gets final say." That you were saying that the state got the final say state can determine a mother's life is at risk.
  8. Is it not also irrelevant to the argument whether you call the debris resulting from an abortion is called a fetus, a baby or an unborn child?
  9. They had over six months after they knew about the ruling and did nothing.
  10. So that's a no, you cannot support your claim that only the state can determine a mother's life is at risk. That's what I thought.
  11. "Keeping up with the Joneses" is well over a hundred years old, yet you site it as something new, typical. Never any reason for anyone blowing smoke to go into any detail.
  12. What unrealistic expectations? Examples, please.
  13. Exactly, that's why the left did nothing but moan about it when they had the house, the senate and the presidency.
  14. No, they were not. They know they have to have abortion as an issue. They need it to pack the court, and they need it in the election. Just like minimum wage, reparations, racism, immigration and "free" medical.
  15. I don't think I'd do anything over a year at this point, I'm betting it keeps going up.
  16. Do you have anything that supports your claim that only the state can determine a mother's life is at risk? Is it not also irrelevant to the argument whether you call the debris resulting from an abortion is called a fetus, a baby or an unborn child?
  17. President Biden and Speaker Pelosi both Catholic, are they radical right wingers?
  18. Why do you want CO2? Have you tried Khon Kaen Oxygen? Restaurant supplies should have it as well.
  19. You think that people today are greedier than in the past?
  20. And before the myths that a single income could not, and that being "only" a mother was not fulfilling for women.
  21. No. Had the mother hired a "health professional" to kill the six or seven or eight or nine-month-old "fetus", it would not be murder. But, if you had three beers and were involved in an automobile accident, which resulted in a six-weeks pregnant woman (or man) having a miscarriage, you would be a murderer.
  22. That's because the claim that the court is "legislating from the bench" is a lie. Roe V Wade was legislating from the bench, as was affirmative action. The left can make aborting children until their 18 legal if they want to, they just have to do it through legislation, not through the court, at least until they pack it.
  23. As far as I can see, most parents spend as much more time with their kids than they have in at least in the last 50 years. The difference may be that the kids used to spend a lot more time helping their parents, and now the time is spent with parents playing with their kids. Familiarity breeds contempt.
