Dongtan Police sub-station is located at the start of Jomtien Beach. 10 meters away from the sub-station is a 7-eleven convenience store which, despite it’s proximity to the station is certainly not exempt from suffering from acts of crime.

Police were called to the store on Sunday Night after the store manager, Khun Sooganyar spotted a transsexual, Khun Sakorn aged 26 stealing some chocolate. Police were understandably quick to respond and detained the suspected thief who was in possession of 2 packets of Ferrero Roche Chocolates valued at 70 Baht.

The suspect was taken to the station where he claimed that he stole the chocolates because they were his favorite and despite a lack of money was determined to take the chocolate back to his home. He was charged with theft and will now explain his actions to a judge who will decide his fate.

  2. Drove along the "Cornich" road last night from the lighthouse to the boat yard after the rain, it was mostly flooded, then we turned into second road at the flyover and it also was flooded up to maybe 12 or 18 inches in places all the way through to the Royal Garden. Cars, buses, motorbikes and mobile nooden shops stalled over the place, wet people everywhere pushing their mounts through wast deep water to higher dryer ground.

I don't understand how a road that is 2 to 3 mtrs above the sea and a few mtrs next to it can get flooded. Anybody know the answer?

too many farang in pattaya !

farang shit is more strong than thai shit and now can not go out !!!!!

thats rude............... no the roadmakers are the big problem the drains are too small and full of sand ro :o cks plastic bags dirt food and..................and yes fat

or a new tax for pattaya municipal on every barfind or paybar 10 bath for collecting condom and plastics bag

  3. Thai people diligently sweep up all the rubbish and leaves from the road in front their houses then spend the rest of they day shoving the rubbish down the nearest drains, plus some contractors think it's ok to throw all their left over bricks and cement down there too, true I've seen it. Hence blocked drains. :o

Don't forget the used cooking oil... :D

yes and rubber condom ! was same in new york 10 years ago when shortage electricity ! baby boom and drains blocked

  7. This topic has bin really helpful to me because I will be meeding a maid also.

With the information put forth I understand the two options.

1-Maid/gf-utility multi function model that will save me money.

    OR

2-young-masters degree, clean house, cook, in the nud_e, and go away-9k a month.

Do I have the same trade in option with buth?

i have the same analyse liketobe !!

  8. I am not surprised by some of the responses on this topic. In my view this forum has many members with a big index finger but no information. Sarcastic remarks but no experience.

There is a Maid agency in this area,

    For a maid 9am – 5pm 5 days a week the cost is 9,000bht one per month.

Contact information [email protected] telephone 079077212 (Yada_pu)

I am sure there are many more companies – maids available to provide this service for you.

    thank you for info rocky

  9. Hello

I am considering the purchase of a villa at Majestic residence, does anyone have an opinion on this development?

Would View Talay or Jomtiens Park Villas be a better value propostion.

    Any other recommendations? Budget 11m.

And thanks in advance for any replies.

i sell my 2 bedroom hause in vieuw talay villa for 8.500.000 bath

  10. How about a young, good looking maid that knows how to give a massage :D

... and likes to wear leather gear while cleaning the house! :o

.......dress in a French maid custume slowing rubbing your shoulders and neck :D

My imagination is running wild :D

Thank you for information OLD SENIOR member

old man have only imagination !!!!

  11. hmmmm this IS kinda creepy ....

but hey .... since I obviously think abouta maid doing their job and not about their age ....

I can see a million reasons to hire a stable older/average mid and NONE for a young maid <unless young and pretty is the requirement and then you just aren't hiring a maid!>

thank you for information my dear

can you read the topic's ???

    too old ???

  12. My maid isn't young ... or old ... or pretty ... or ugly .... just good!

    Mine too... :D

Older maids are better... more experience and reliable IMO.

    :o

yes jai dee but old women are more moody

It is my experience that the reverse is more likely... :D

How many maids have you had already 'awayfoe', and how old were they?

What were their working/living conditions and what were your expectations?

do you know agency in pattaya like we can find in bkk ?

  13. [very good analyse basil

concerning water they plan to make pumping on tree level on the building but with plastic pipe !!!!

    :o quote name='Basil B' date='2006-08-12 22:49:02' post='846017]

    Just found this thread and skimmed through 106 posts, so just to summaries;

When out in Thailand last April I first learned of this project and it was going to be 92 stories high, the tallest residential building in Asia, they were selling of the plans starting at 90,000Baht per square meter, soon to rise to 100,000Bahts and there was also a premium rising with each floor level.

Majestic?, I assumed this was going to be another View Talay project as it appears to be on land that I assumed was part of the View Talay Residencies, this fits in well with sales pitch of View Talay, basically misleading to prospective purchasers and s***ing on them afterwards, ie they sold the villas on the assumption that they will never be over looked and you could skinny dip in your pool without any problems, then when all villas are built they then build four seven stories high residency blocks over looking the site, now they have I presume nearly sold all the residencies so now plan to build this monstrosity overlooking the residencies and villas.

At those prices just how many more Thai’s can afford to buy the needed 51%, another dash to the land registry on completion whereby almost 51% of the owners are unable to own in their own name so chance it to the scams that circumvent the law on ownership of property in Thailand.

The sewage issue, looking at Google Earth I see what I think is a waste treatment plant not to far away so hopefully that should not be a problem particularly as the total waste from this site would be no greater that any of the other major condominium projects already established in Jomtien.

The issue of the pressure in the pipes, at a height of 350meters assuming the pipe was full of water then the pressure at the bottom would be about 35bar/525PSI about 20 time greater than the pressure in you car tyres (I hope they don’t use that blue plastic piping), they will probably have to pump the water up in stages so there will be water tanks and pumps at a number of stages up the building.

Roads and car parking, the road past this site will need to be widened, so the frontages to the residencies will be robbed, and just where do you think they are going to park all those cars and service vehicles?

Looking at the site last April it looked like they were preparing to sink a load of piles in to the site just like what they did for the seven story residencies, I would have thought that the would have had to excavate down at least 3 stories to get a suitable foundation, looks like Jomtien is to get its own leaning tower.

The big question is why they need to build so high when there is so much land around???
