Don't forget you can't compare the utter tosh that gets produced in USA to products in Europe.
So many banned products in US food thst just aren't allowed to be consumed in Europe.
Ask Americans how they lose weight when holidaying in Europe when drinking and eating more than they do when in America. That's how bad their foods and health are.

I meet foreigners exclusively. Haven’t even considered taking a ‘local’ girl. Not entirely sure why. A few reasons, valid or not.
How old are you? I did say most and of course there are exceptions.

As long as they don't have a bank run it will be fine.
Not sure why you mention crypto, how on earth does the price of that effect banking reserves?

Wouldn't the conspirators have to pay 2% transfer fee as well? Seems well planned out if the case, as that's 100k out the door before other fees.
Turning 'bad' money into 'good' money you always have to take a hair cut of some degree.
Its getting rid of the direct link to the victim that's important and thus theyre less likely to lose the assets, should they end up in court at a later date.

Any Thai women putting a new car or house in their mothers name is a major hint that there something wrong.
They do it to avoid the connection between farnag / thai gf, should they end up in court at later date

Sad to say but your friend has been done and its all planned so you will have difficulty getting anything back. For his own health he is better off just moving on and forgetting about it.
Ive lost millions of baht to Thai women and once they have it they arent letting go. I was even threatened by other people and told to leave Thailand etc or ill be shot....It got quite nasty.
Even to get a judge to listen to your case will cost you $around 5k and then there is no guarantee he will even hear the case.

Even stable coins are not that stable, so not 100% guaranteed of exact value of 1:1
Anyways the point is if you are looking to exchange those coins for cash into your farang bank account?
You need an exchange account that you can link your UK bank to facilitate the transaction.
For eg a friend of mine buys bitcoins for people through bitstamp.net and then cashes out through his UK bank account.
It depends on where you are geographically and what exchange you are registered to.

Most would not be here if they could score in their own country and therefore have to settle for a Thai wife.
Being an expat and scoring with a farang in Thailand is pretty much unheard of.

Cheap charlie is one who often do not pay the girls after bar fined them, or pay them taxi money only.
Many girls do not ask for money, and cheap charlies take advantage of them.
Cheap charlies hang around the bars after closing, they aint paying no bar fine lol

He wont be repatriated in that condition, i had the unfortunate situation of organising such a thing and ended up paying for a doctor and a nurse plus their visas and overnight accommodation in London, plus organise a private ambulance to take him to hospital in UK and the total ammount including a month in ICU Bangkok was £65,000 this was a few years ago so no doubt more expensive now.

One other thing don't pay the full fine, i once received a proper fine and had to go to the police station to pay it and jokingly haggled a little and sure enough i managed to get nearly half off the fine. In Thailand everything is negotiable.

Thais also sau yes alot even if they actually disagree with what you stated or asked. So don't take a yes the same way as you would do if you were conversing with a farang. Can be very confusing especially if negotiating or trying to do business.
The class system is very much apparent in Thailand, kinda like the western world was back in the 1920's. Similar with religion and superstition.

Much easier way would be do identify as women in the UK and get you passport changed this can be done pretty much with a doctors note. Travel to Thailand and then meet a ladyboy that has aspirations to learn fashion in London, marry him and then i believe you have access to residency by marrying a Thai man and he can then probably travel to the UK alot easier now that hes married to a UK women. Everyone;s happy, can see too many pitfalls to this plan (Could even charge the ladyboy for the privilege of getting access to the UK.

Also, I could become a member at Royal Hua Hin, near my house, foreigners can't join.
This is only one benefit, they're are many more, like being able to own land.
For a 5,000 baht fee, totally worth getting Thai citizenship. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
Whats the attraction to being a member at Royal Hua Hin? bit of goat track from what i remember, although used to do a good sunset deal for 1,200 and generally get in 16 holes.

So you pay and then they give the money back to someone else!?
It's insulting and regardless of the amount, i wouldn't accept this and tbh i have never ever seen it happen or happen to me. You are being mugged off and don't have the balls to do anything about it and that exactly why you find yourself in this situation in the fist place. Thai people might not be the most intelligent but reading body language is something that they excel at.
If the Thai women controlled the money then she would be paying for it in the first place, to then give the change back to them is rather demeaning, especially if its just coins. Kind of like pocket money for your kid.
This is part of the problem of being with a Thai women, the majority of the Thai people do not respect the situation you are in and therefore it's unlikely you feel a real part of the community. Sure it might be better than being in the US or UK however its certainly not ideal. I see it every day on my travels, better to accept and come to terms with the situation that you are in.

My family got scammed, father had dementia and i should have paid more attention.
Lost property and 2m in a loan to the women who was actually a property agent in Hua hin. Whom we thought we could trust not a random from a bar or online.
I think they will always take advantage of foreigners and perhaps they thought we had more than we did but pretty much everything we had was lost.

Not Thailand but I also recall one time in Morocco when i checked into a random hotel, didnt know the name of it but grabbed a card from the front desk on my way out. Headed into town and then got a taxi later that night and gave the card to the driver to take me to my hotel........10 minutes later we are sitting outside a building site and he said this was the destination!?
Turns out i had picked up a card / flyer for some other new development that was being built! Nothing to do with the hotel i was staying at. So then i had no idea where i was or where my hotel was. Eventually after hours of traveling around and phone calls we eventually found it!

Eva air are good and always my first choice for traveling, they do a premium economy ticket, which is worth a look and generally around £1000 direct LHR - BKK, pre covid price.
BA are also the only airline to ever cancel my ticket upon arrival at the airport for departure.
Trips with BA and Thai airways have generally been quite a poor experience compared to that with Eva. Cathay Pacific are good but don't fly direct to BKK i don't believe or never used to.
I would rather fly Cathay Pacific London to Hong Kong and then connect back to BKK than fly direct from London with BA.
