I remember formalin from preparing dead animals like fish to show them as a trophy on the wall. I remember it had a strong smell.

Wouldn't people notice that smell or a bad taste with this meat?

Or how do they process that so that people eat it?

Pretty much all of our food stuffs are covered in chemicals of some sort, hence why you should always wash veg before cooking and its no different from this stuff, wash it and generally you will remove all tastes of it. In the UK we often use bleach to get them white as stomachs can be green from the staining of the grass and no one wants to eat green dim sum.

Dim sum in Chinese restaurants is where most of this stuff ends up, not cheap and certainly not in any street meat.

  2. Hope the women has some success with her new job.

By not taking any of these boosters you are 100% effective against any form of side effect and I don't personally know anyone that has ended up in hospital either jabbed or not.

Over 30 countries int he world are less than 20% vaccinated, yet they are not over run or pleading for more vaccines to be sent. Life has gone on yet had we vaccinated 80% of them the story would be the vaccines saved them, and their would be no message from the other side.

You have to be careful to not silence both sides of an argument other wise you end of with a dictatorial totalitarian set up.

Living in Thailand you see the inequality on a daily basis where the majority of the population cant speak or wont speak up regards to the blatant extortion and bribes that are routinely exercised. Its no difference at any other level in business or government.

  3. Haha can quite believe the OP, good luck with that one!

I took a taxi as had to cut some grass on a house i thought i owned, asked driver to wait whilst i strimmed the grass, after 2 minutes he was out of the car and taking the strimmer from me, despite myself having experience in gardening and power tools, he presumed he should take on the job for me, he then proceeds to wreck the turf and wouldn't return the strimmer to let me finish. Thinking he could do a better job yet i assumed he had never used a strimmer before!

Also on the same house, they had plug sockets outside that were just normal plug sockets that you would install inside a house..... I told the women selling the house that it was totally illegal and dangerous, yet she wouldn't change or accept the fact untill about a month later when a Thai person told her that it was not acceptable and needed to be changed.

  4. Not sure the relevance of the gf going home and the father needing transport to the hospital, anyways with that info.

Why doesn't the father juts get the bus or train as its only 1 km from the village, of course i guess he will need to be aided by would be easier to find someone to chaparone him as opposed to finding someone who drives or you have to hire a car (which seems a very expensive way to do it)

Mute argument, Thailand isn't importing the new vaccines and the ones available are expired or expiring soon.

The only choices will be the ones produced by Thailand based on the initial virus and not peer reviewed.

Whether you are against or for vaccines doesn't really matter.

The government GPO calls the shots for public and private hospitals alike when it comes aquiring  COVID-19 vaccines.

Ive not asked where Thailand is getting their vaccines from, perhaps you replied to the wrong post, or misread it?

Dr Yong recommends that all Thais receive at least three COVID vaccine doses, regardless of brand. Those who received their last jab over six months ago should meanwhile get an additional booster dose, as the immunity wanes with time.

If you were jabbed early on then in theory you should be on your 6 jab by now? If you are to be considered fully vaccinated.

Does it stop or do we just carry on getting the booster every 6 months from now on?

Not sure that its a good idea to take a couple of 60 year olds to see prostitution on a trip to Thailand , they could be disgusted .

What if the man decides to use a prostitute and leave  his Wife ?

What if the man and his wife both decide to use a prostitute?

Tour guides, y'all ain't.  Thailand for 1st time, and with exception of 'maybe a canal trip'... a bunch of bars, and adult entertainment venues ????

Suggest you ask them what they want to see & do.  Personally I would go with something uniquely Thailand.  Bars & hookers are everywhere, worldwide.  Last thing I want to do, is travel a few thousand mile/kms, to sit in a bar, and worse, eating western food.  Thailand for an English brekkie, Toad in Hole, or Meat pie ... watching hookers work their sales routine ... seems like wasted time & money.

''Personally I would go with something uniquely Thailand.  Bars & hookers are everywhere, worldwide.''

Aside from the Philippine's there's nothing quite as decadent as wondering around the night life in Thailand, completely safe and a unique experience. Its the sex capital of the world for a reason and not be missed. People spend thousands 'wasting' there money every year.

Not sayings its for everyone and some of your prospective guests might well be horrified at the scene in Thailand.

  9. No Thai person with any money moves to Issan, but if you manage to make money in Issan you leave pretty quickly.

Also the same way UK people giggle when you say you are going to Thailand, the driver knows that you are probably looking / or have a wife and wonders why you choose to find one in Issan. Its certainly wouldnt be a Thai persons first choice.

  10. If i see an old guy with faded navy type tattoos you can be sure for some interesting conversation and i'll make an effort to speak to them, however if they are over 40 and have tribal type tattoos i would do the opposite and not make any attempt to engage.

If i meet a women / man with daft slogans or 'inspirational' quotes then again i wouldn't generally warm to them, of course there are exceptions.

A women with a large back tattoo can be quite nice and i will appreciate the art and commitment to it.

Why not commission an artist to draw on canvas rather than your own body, would be my thoughts if wishing to commenorate someone, you cant pass your tattoos onto anyone after you die.

  11. No not really, got drunk and had my hair dyed once but a permanent body marking is a step too far. No idea what i would have and my opinions views change over the years.

I find them a good marker for the type of person that has them for eg any lady with an inspirational quote, is generally best left alone......

If your ever in Hua hin and meet lady with 'love me for who i am' on her arm.....then run a mile!

Generally in life what ever people tend to project is the actual opposite of their true thoughts.

Not in Thailand. The pricing structure is all over the place. Some hotels cheaper online, some cheaper in person, some the same.

Many discount for stays of 2,3,4 nights some dont.

I went to a hotel low season 3500 baht walk in, online 1400 baht. Hotel was almost empty.

Half the staff dont know what to do.

Same in most countries. Expedia for eg can often be cheaper than in person at the hotel. Even at family type guesthouses.
