You do, when you telling people how you see and experience Thailand, and make claims that is not true. Im trying to be as correct and sober as possible when I make statements or share my opinions, and as well, no problem to back down if someone corrects me with correct information if Im wrong.

Place was jomtien soi 15 or so, a cheap quiet resort. Moonshine was great when I was there back in the day, with fun party girls who worked there.

I think what makes Thailand a better place, is not that Thais are so much more beautiful or feminine on average, but it is easier to get attention and more smiles, it is easier to flirt with a woman in public without getting any negative reactions. In western countries the younger generation do not give that much attention to mature men anymore, everyone is busy with themselves and their phones. But still if I'm in my own mind and do not seek attention, feeling happy, still I can spot a smile, a nod and some recognition, but it's rare. At the gyms here now, everyone got their headphones, earbuds played their own music and were busy with their phones between their workouts. We still salute each other if we have become regular, but thats is Still at the gyms in Thailand, I get attention, and it is easier to chat, especially if you hit the same gyms for a while.

In my opinion, people have to be better at letting past be past, and move on! Cant continue to remind yourself in every post about the negative feeling you have about your past! My mistakes, was mostly my own fault, and I cant see why I should continue to blaim others, or continue to remind myself, when I have accepted the outcome, learned, and hopefully avoid the same mistakes in the future! Still I do not limit myself or restrict myself because I once before experienced something negative!

If I knew better, I would have also used a vapour barrier, which is not normal, or at least for those village workers I used. I always took measure for reinforcement where I saw there were lack of quality materials, or quality work. Just a few samples form the construction site, this is the garage and car port being done, inside and outside kitchen, and one of the bathroooms. Is it a pretty house, no, but it is functional and I can fine live there for the price we paid.

I can asure you, the standard living we have in Isaan is decent and not alike those pics you might have or not about Isaan living. Just not any fancy high cost materials, or fancy architecture, or imported granite tiles.

I was very independent when I was young, and moved out when I was 17 and started to work fulltime. So nothing my father said or do would have helped, and I think this is the same for most independent boys at that age, whey have to leave and create their own life, do their own mistakes, and make their own experiences. Im sure this girl have something he desire strongly, and Im sure it will not be the last one in his life. Just hope she do not get pregnant

This is normal, you are booked for a project, and everything supposed to be in place ready to go, but very often delayed, wrong measurments, wrong parts, strikes, weather, so the best thing is to hang out, study, eat, sleep exercise, and look at the bright side. Afterall, I get paid no matter what

Misunderstand me correct, but you can build well for cheap money, or you can build a dissaster for expensive money! We are talking about Isaan with local workers, who know how to build houses like they have done for decades. Your choice Comparing a farm with a car? On a farm you need a Kuboto tractor not a Mercedes. A mercedes is a waste of money up there. Would I have built like that in Hua Hin? Of course not, I would build for the marked I most likely would sell it to, same in Isaan, you have to look where your buyers most likely would come from, and the price you most likely would get back on it. Soon the land will be more worth the buildings, and thats a comfort.

First I do not own the land! Second how long do I want to live there? Third building western quality in Thailand is quite hard, and expensive, especially in a remote village. To many challenges to mention, but it is a naightmare just to make sure they understand what you want, and get it how you want it. When building, everything had to go through my then gf, created alot of stress, tention and headache for both of us To me it is a small farm where to most important is the place I sleep, kitchen and outside space! Everything else, as long it is standing, keeping us dry and tempered and mosquito free, Im happy. There is no difference between building cheap or expensive, it is just the estetic and feeling about it. Nothing else. The only thing Im missing is a larger gym from 36m2 to around 60m2, then I can have my heavy bag inside in aircondition room, instead of outside. Solar power will be necessery to !
