Talking about having high thoughts about your self. Nobody is imune to lies, and nobody is 100% so secure they know when a girl speaks the truth. We all have to gamble in life, and go along to see whats in the other end sometimes. The most funny I have experienced, is one guy who claimed he had met the perfect woman, educated, worked in government, now retired and financial secured, and after knowing them better, bought an appartment in BKK where her sons lived, bought a taxi for one of the sons, bought a house in Hua Hin the whole family used, and still claimed he never gave his wife one baht! Well, it was his wife who actually corrected him when he claimed so, because she didnt want to sound cheap and stuped when he bragged about himself and how smart he was.

First of all he have been a child of high ranked officials, met world leaders, interested in sports, life, do many different activities and sports, social smart, have energy and good at multitasking. Not many people have those skills, and after one meeting, remembers your name, your gf/wife name, and make sure you feel welcome every time you meet. Most important he manage to keep his staff, and thats something rear in Thailand. Most complain they train the staff and loose them, he manage to keep them for many years. Not to forget, his food is excellent, and he know his business and every little detail.

Being a beer bar owner takes a toll on an healthy mind and body! If you have mental and health challenges from before, and socially awkward, bar life might not be your thing. You also need to have very little or no emphasis with girls and their families, as well stay out of other mens business when they are in love with your the girls. Talk politics and religion and world problems on repeat night after night to make sure you keep your regulars who make your bar look busy.

I know one educated intelligent bar/restaurant hotel owner, but he is not dealing with cheap girlie beer bars. And he survived covid keeping most of his staff.

I do not believe thats true. Its rather the most expensive beer, or hard work for a cheap beer. Never seen a successful foreign owned bar without an co owner (foreigner) who work hard to be on top of everything. By the way, what kind of bar do op had in mind?

I had once a heads up from my dr I had high sugar in my blood, but truth is, I was healthy, working out regulary, and most likely had a big fat meal the day before my bloodtests, and therefor my cholestrol was a bit in the high end to. Everyone who push 50 or more, is likely to have any underlying condition, that can show up on one or two bloodtests before everything normalize again.
