Still just refering to history and how societies work, and how people getting engaged for good and bad, as well reasons how things comes and goes same as ideology. It is a nice study how Alexander the great and Djenghis Khan worked around religion and how they ruled their Empires concerning religion.

Im talk about this life, and for some, religion give reasons to live. I also believe many who learn buddhism will se there is alot more to it, that ties them up in a conform lifestyle and it comes with complex rules to follow as well as anything else. I do not believe in man made reasons to live, I believe more in Nature and the law of nature. We are born, we need food, safety and shelter, and also reproduce. In a bigger scale with bigger societies, rules is needed, war comes and go in the need of more territories for survival reasons, and therefor religion have been used as a political tool to fight evil. Original religious people had another sense of reality and often seen as a mental state. Others easy to be manipulated to follow, as well political leaders see the benefits of using religion as a tool. The rest of us, understand the purposes, but really do not believe either in religion or politicians but are forced to choose side to protect ourselves and our families for lesser evil. The benefits are stability for most!

From what I have heard first hand from Koh Samui, a dirty stinking hole, and valium was available. Others have said same about Bangkok. "We were rats in a cage they roamed in, but some guards allowed themselves to be bribed, and bought valium from fellow prisoners to get some sleep. We can talk later. Exhausted… Good luck

Where do I defend religion, I try to explain the logic behind why so many believe in one way or other, be it religion or anything else that glue people together. A major reason why it is important to have a common belief/faith in a society, is to manage to pull in the same direction, and also willing to die for the same reasons to protect what they have. When all nutheads is on their own, the society falls apart, and many people do not function without being told what to believe or told what to do. A mans worst enemy, is a life without purpose!

As a fact, Islam is the latest of the book religions, so in the nature ,,,,,, there is no instructions of killing Christians or muslims, but there is instructions how to deal with non believers and "unclean" Im quite sure Islam do not instruct specifict jews or christians as targets either, but their leaders do often in speaches, as well same for other remigions who have enemie. Muslims believe that God had previously revealed Himself to the earlier prophets of the Jews and Christians, such as Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. Muslims therefore accept the teachings of both the Jewish Torah and the Christian Gospels https://www.pbs.org/empires/islam/faithpeople.html The Talmud holds that only Jews are true human beings and Gentiles are “goyim” (meaning cattle or beast). The following are shocking but exact quotes from their various books. Sanhedrin 59a: “Murdering Goyim is like killing a wild animal.” Abodah Zara 26b: “Even the best of the Gentiles should be killed.” Sanhedrin 59a: “A goy (Gentile) who pries into The Law (Talmud) is guilty of death.” Libbre David 37: “To communicate anything to a Goy about our religious relations would be equal to the killing of all Jews, for if the Goyim knew what we teach about them, they would kill us openly.” Libbre David 37: “If a Jew be called upon to explain any part of the rabbinic books, he ought to give only a false explanation. Who ever will violate this order shall be put to death.”

Well, stupid people always claim they are smart, dont they? Everything is logicsl, even what seems not logical, and what you seems not to understand is cultural history, and how it is continuing to repeat itself! If you have a choice to believe in Christianity or Islam, what would you choose? It is that easy, because you will choose what you believe is a lesser evil! No need to try to pick a fight with me.

Some religious leaders I believe are driven by convinced reasons, but at some point being corrupted, not different from politians. I believe in the nature of us, we are both spiritual and religious, and some even think we lost the connection at some point. Kicked out of Rhe Garden Edens. We have strong instincts for survival, and also great imagination, as well easy manipulated, so I really do not find it so strange. What is better motivation when go to war, there is a goid, and a faith to fight for? The good against the bad?

Faith and beliefs, do not need proofs, just being convinced someway manipulated or even forced on to people for generations. You know the story about the monkeys and the ladder? I believe this one is made up, but it gives a good point anyway https://www.proserveit.com/blog/five-monkeys-experiment-lessons

Why is one soccer team better than another in somones eyes, even statistics says it is not. Why some believe in proved science others not? People are people, like two brothers who have same origins goes separate ways! Two motorbike clubs have same inerests fighting about the same thing, control of people and districts. Realigion is just scaled up

There is a red line and similarities between most religions. The jews got their inspirations from earlier formed religions, Buddhists from hinduism,.... Seems it is in the nature to believe in something that can collect, tribes, societies and also individuals who do not want to believe in a god, choose something else somehow in some way Cultivate Soccer, rock stars, writers, philosophers, motorbike clans or clubs, work, science
