  1. Im afraid Ukraine is doomed to lose this war, as I claimed from the very beginning. I hope Im wrong, but so far, all my predictions have become true. We just have to wait and see if Ukraine give up Crimea and a few of the provinces annected to end the war. As long Zelensky and Putin rules, there will be no peace.
  2. If no rules or management to handle such issues, your best option is to move. Simple as that. If there where rules, you could try to talk to your neighbor, but then, well, it comes down to pure human factors and your neighbour think it is vice to quit smoking at his balcony or not.
  3. The helmets for motorbikes bought at Honda, have been used, as well the T-shirts. Same goes for servicing our car and given t-shirts. The gifts given with the phones, a few speakers, have been used and given away to nephews and niece. A bottle opener with magnet have been handy from one of the motorbike accessorie stores, as well the bottle condoms. Got quite a few tools from the construction shop and had been used alot, incuding a fan as well
  4. Trust science? The Effects of Exposure to Low Frequency Electromagnetic Fields in the Treatment of Migraine Headache: A Cohort Study Findings have indicated that increased usage of mobile phones may be concomitant with higher rate of headache attacks due to the low radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF). The aim of this study was to determine the effects of low RF-EMF on the treatment outcome in migraine patients. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5279981/ More Electrohypersensitivity (EHS) is believed to be triggered by electronic devices but has no scientific proof. Symptoms may happen due to other disorders or beliefs about electromagnetic fields. Treatment may include therapy, environmental changes, or treating underlying conditions. In a 2018 study, people with self-diagnosed EHS were exposed to EMFs from mobile and radio systems, as well as sham (fake) signals. The participants reported more symptoms when they thought each station was on — which suggests they were unable to tell when they were exposed to EMFs. https://www.healthline.com/health/allergic-to-electricity#what-the-science-says
  5. Marriage is not a good solution for everyone, just tired of hearing the generalized opinion from those who made mistakes, and can not be in healthy relationships, dragging everyone down in the mud, comparing their experiences to their own. Just respect people have different experience. Is that to much asking for? A marriage is a understood partnership, supposed to be contributing for both in a positive way. Give and take
  6. I truly hope they pay you for the time and contribution to this forum. I think I speak for everyone, when saying your contributions is highly valuable and appreciated.
  7. Positive experiences and being able to continue cultivating positive experiences are the most important for continue feeling home in Thailand. A solid income or pension can contribute to the very same feeling of being home and also respected.
  8. Just nother excuse for being socially impaired
  9. Would be one of the movies I watched several times since the 80'ies, and it grows on me everytime, becsuse of general knownledge about psychology religion, politics, human social behavior and not to forget history then and now. The most important movie ever I would say, and the funniest.
  10. I hold my breath and can wait, and in meantime I keep the door open
  11. The longer I stay, the more I find myself far outside being able to connect with other expats here. Very few I can relate to in the terms making friends and invite over for a dinner, or even stay over for a weekend. There is many reasons, but mostly because of different political views, lifestyle or general interests. Other expats is best socialized with at restaurants for sharing a few hours catching up or motorcycle trips, where we hang out for a few days riding most of the day, and sharing a few beers and thats it. The truth is, the older I get, the more bored of other people I get! I just cant understand how I would survive here 30 more years, without having something sensible to do, and we do have a farm, but there is a limit how much I want to invest here, both time and money. Close by me, Im the youngest, and there is one serious conspiracy activist, two drunks who both of them think they will die within a year and still going after 4 years since I met them, one adhd farmer, who continously invest more and more, but never being able to make any money, 4 who came and left. The last one continously talking about muslims and emigrants in Europe and we have very little in common. Also a matter of who my wife enjoy socialize with also, where the wifes have very different background as well.
  12. I agree about the satisfaction on being two, but If I was single again, I would just relocate, heal up, and start all over again. Cant see myself dining alone, and just being me and myself everywhere I go even I could pay for campany for an evening, heading for a movie, dinner, or just a bottle of wine. When we go out in BKK I often see men sit alone, eat and drink, and it doesnt seems tempting.
  13. Black matter makes up 85% of the universe, 85% we do not know the orign of, People still believe the earth is flat, or there is one god who control everything, thats the problem, people makes up their minds, without knowing
  14. Not to forget the Abraham families universe/heaven
  15. I havent said anything about Rowling, who I 100% agree with
  16. What is you problem? I replied to an off topic who claimed Elton John had moved to an tax heaven! Get a grip sir
  17. Im sure you are happy with that, and you have never complained about your status Q, so I respect that. Really! But there is so many who continously complaining, and make excuses for who they are, and what they do, when they really wanted to be something else, or do something else. If people want change, they have to do the job and commit
  18. Basically it is up to you, but all we see is just excuses for why some do not want to put the energy needed to succeed, and full of excuses for why they are who they are
  19. If you are a chang guy, stick to chang, but if you like fine wine, which I see a solid relationship as, and you enjoy the diversity of the qualities and aging, you stick to wine. Simple as that Edit note: Found the proverb There is a saying which goes: “Marriage is like fine wine; if properly tended to, it gets better with time”
  20. And you care? My wife is a farmer, anything else you want to know?
  21. to me, it seems like a very poplular theme to talk and discuss standard issues that is not like home., Make a pic 😄 And even while their wife and my wife listening, like they are not in the same room with us, and do not understand whats being said. Happy in Thailand can be many things,
  22. It is an ethical question, and for people who live in Thailand, and especially close to red light districts, and also frequently use the available options, might not see the same as someone who is a bit more distant from the whole scene. From one end to another, some see use of bar girls as aid to families in Thailand, other end see abuse. I can agree both sides, but it is not up to you or me to decide. I have met to many bar mongers, which many of them I truly despice just beacouse of their view on girls and especially bar girls.
