Normally, I just nod and smile and walk past when seeing other foreigners, and sometimes stop for a chat if it is natural, but I really do not care about other foreigners that much. Stayed at 15 floor at Amara in Silom last trip now, and even there you got this super hyped small bikes without sound muffler reaching us in the middle of the night. Annoying.

I choose both, quiet and view. I need both in my life. But quiet can be noisy if you count the jungle sounds and waves hitting the shoreline, or in Isaan, the frogs in the night after a rainfall is quite noisy, but Im not bothered of those kind of sounds. Their frequency is quite nice atcually. I also sleep good through storms and heavy rainfalls. I hate noise from neighbours and traffic, cant cope with with those sounds. Especially in cheaper hotels in BKK, the noise from motorbikes speeding without sound muffler, is horrible.
