Well any of us that have enough history in Thailand, time to roll the eyes, and mutter "here we go again"
I would like to believe that this time is might be different, but age tends to make you think history really does repeat itself.
It's only a matter of time until they throw a Lese Majeste charge at Thanathorn. They've already said he was trying to turn the young against the institution of the Monarchy.
That and Computer Crime are the catch all to silence any opposition.
Maybe we should run a book here on how long it gonna take?
Its simmering away.
Get away from the big smoke and hear what local people are saying.
When certain individuals wealth is reported to now be 60 billion Us $.
Plus taking control of several military divisions.
And looking at the placement of the 150 APVs being purchased near Chachongsao.
One can start to get the impression that something is going on!!!
If one of the new submarines is based in the river close to city central,
Or a new attack helicopter on the roof somewhere...
Watch this space...

Ok, maybe I'm not the brightest tool in the shed, but...
Isn't this the law???
NOT a recommendation.
His recommendations are not to speed,
not to drive in the wrong direction,
not to violate traffic light control,
use a safety belt,
carry a driver’s license, don’t pass other vehicles in unlikely spots,
don’t get drunk driving, wear a motorcycle crash helmet,
drive a motorcycle in a safe manner.
The WHOLE police force is a disgrace.

They don't seem to get it.
Customers are down but the prices go up.
Thai logic I will never understand...
They buy a new car and when they sell it they want the same price as they paid, maybe 2 years ago.
If it doesn't sell, it just sits there gathering cobwebs.
Talking of which.
A few cobwebs gathering on Walking Street too.

It was claimed the woman wasn’t wearing any underwear and was making noises which suggested she was having sex.
Yes,
2000 short time.
What your name.
Welcome to Thailand.

It must be helium i use to fill my balloons, because the ladies always laugh when they see it...
-
Where in the world do people use hydrogen in party balloons.
It like filling the balloon with cng from the gas car engine.
I was of the understanding that only helium was allowed?
But,
This is Thailand.

To me it sounds like 2 million baht.Same same, but different.
Thai maths is not the best, unless its on the spot fines.

Hey, catch one miss many.
Cheap Charlie centre, Nirun condo.
It's quite frequently found that the agent is short term letting property and not always telling the owners.
When I looked at one before with the owner, the door would not open.
Someone was already in it.
She had a scribble on a bit of paper.
The Chinese owner put them out, the same day.

Hi Pib
I'm looking for a new Laptop to replace my 6 yr old Lenovo that I've been more or less happy with. Can you supply a link to the website you used to order yours. I would prefer an English only keyboard, is that possible? Were there any duties/custom issues? How about warranty, covered in Thailand and for how long.
Thanks in advance for any info.
My personal experience with Lenovo is that I will never have another.
Had a Yoga 510 ast AMD 9 chipset. 8gb ram 1tb drive.
It used to take around 2 minutes to get started.
Even if you used the 2.9 turbo settings.
Windows 10.
About £600 new, i offloaded it for £325.
I finished up with a Link 64 gb with ssd and a detachable keyboard and touch screen. 12 inch.
I don't need a business type machine anymore.
This has been brilliant.
About 25 seconds boot from cold. Intel chip.
Worth looking at if anyone is after a phablet type.
And as low as £150 plus a vat refund in the UK.

The thing is, we fall in lust with these pretty creatures.
Try the new FB app for dating.
There are some quality ladies and gentlemen, usually with government jobs.
I took my lady from a bar.
Cashier. Err, right.
Which doesn't mean anything.
She worked soi 22 Sukhumvit previously.
Issan background or Buriram, and well you have a recipe for heartbreak.
Not all, but many.
They come for the money.
Mentality is, "its just a <deleted> for money, not mean anything, can do"
Not do with friends, just customers..
You don't lose your girlfriend, you just lose your turn.

And how many thai people would have done this?
Possibly zilch.
Reading and writing is usually poor in the regional community.
Their response to many of these if stopped work be 500 baht and 3 wais.
-
I too have met a few blood suckers recently in pattaya.
-
And what do you do with 12 pick up trucks?
Hide them in the village unregistered?
You can't sell them.
No blue books if finance outstanding.
Rebirth them?
Maybe i missed something?

Just so I'm clear, this weeks knee-jerk plan has reverted back to quantity of tourist rather than quality of tourist ?
And still no clarity as the the actual contribution per tourist head?
Suppose 1 million Chinese at say 1000 baht a day x 7 days average stay.
Including hotel deals.
Visa free.
Or 100,000 Indian tourists at say 1000 baht a day x 7 days average stay.
Several to a room.
Visa free.
Or,
the farang who stays here and take a thai partner, support her family and friends, building a new home, contributing to the immigration bill with visas and renewals.
In my opinion the contribution is Priceless....
But TAT will never see it that way...

Its not funny or amusing anymore.....hence the lack of tourists or even expats bothering to go out...bill padding at almost every venue, police stops every few klicks and getting robbed or beaten up....rip patters
Several places on walking street are putting a 10% service charge on the bill.
Just to add insult to injury..
So chance is you get average service and food.
You possibly get a bit of bill padding.
You give the expected tip.
And then find a 10% service charge on the bottom.

310 direct flight to Vietnam per week?
Thats 44 flights per day.
That is much higher that I would have ever guessed.
Is BKK just a convenient hub and easier to get to Vietnam than from other countries?
But they can't find sufficient slots for the Indian flights!!
Oh well, every cloud has a silver lining....

Yes, and how many times did he say "get an ambulance "
They will be putting ambulance points along Beach road the way it is going.

I don't know what everyone is complaining about?
One Irishman vs 10 Thais is what constitutes a fair fight in Thailand.
Throw in a couple of blind people and their dogs.
A few wheelchair bound tourists...
Its pretty disgusting...
Time the locals work up to what's sending the tourists elsewhere.
No tourist police around either?
Is the CCTV system fixed yet?
