From the photo it would be impossible to put those body parts in the freezer section.
But even my maths makes that six pieces.
And was not some flushed?
Not doubting it happened.
Psychologically disturbed people are capable of doing anything.
Sad. Very sad.
But the reporting is not that great.
Perhaps more details will be made available later...

Transfers usually take longer when there's an intermediary bank involved. If your home bank has a direct relationship with the bank in Thailand and doesn't need to use a middle man, it's a lot quicker and cheaper since the intermediary also takes a fee.
ANZ is pretty good $9 international service.
Its just where it goes after you press the send button.
Best has been about 30 hours..

Sat on 3rd road last evening having a nice pork steak. About 6:30pm.
No less than 172 tourist buses all appear to be Chinese from the signs.
In say 45 minutes.
I'm sure that I missed a few between mouth fulls.

This is blatant plagiarism of the CNN Travel article from last week. You can't re-publish the same quotes and screen grab the map graphic without linking to the original article -- it's illegal.
But but, this is Thailand.

Consider, its such a big deal anytime anybody here wants to send money abroad. It usually takes at least an hour at the bank counter, a long sheet to be filed out, along with their firm request you give them a copy of a foreign bill or other "evidence" why you want to send funds abroad. Why is there a why? Is this some kind of BOT requirement? Does this make sense? By making it easier, fast, fair convenient would induce more here buying foreign currency so helping weakening the Baht. Vs. this sticky procedure which has the opposite effect. In place by all Thai banks as far as I know.
Oddly enough when I transfer to Thailand from my Australian account it disappears within seconds, but can be up to 2 days before Kasikorn actually shows anything.
Used to work on the velocity of money and its value when with Ford Treasury.
The velocity certainly slows into a black hole when its coming here.
Its obviously exists somewhere and has some revenue generating ability for someone..
(Less the Australian transfer fee and less a Kasikorn bank fee)
I think I mentioned before that "her in doors" is still waiting for the explanation of where the 15,000 baht is going each month, that exchange rates have eroded.

More like cheap or lack of materials, virtually no supports in the roof.
Saving money costs lives in construction....
I'd take a close look at the architects design and match it to materials or build standard used then proportion blame!
I have a set of architects designed specs for a new house in Buriram.
Surveyor reports.
Draftsman etc.
They are starting to catch up in the regional areas.
Now the builder says, "ok, we not use ". Too expensive this way...
Nobody checks....
Needless to say it's not happening.
Especially 20 slump concrete and undersized reinforcing steel.
TIT.

They say in India when building collapse "To much Sand and not enough Cement"
They say in Thailand, too much padding in Brown envelopes and not enough to pay for the materials.

1. Roof leaked and water ran down the kitchen wall past the electrics.
2. Roof leaked to the point of having to use a large bin bucket when it rained, sink came out of the wall.
3. Porch leaks, terrible electrics, but otherwise so far so good. Though judging by the ceiling, roof has leaked inside previously.
Certainly Thais cannot build roofs !
Never buy house or condo built by a Thai unless overseeing it yourself !
Did someone mention roof's.
Unreal...

Wasn't there a poster here very recently inquiring about building standards in the LOS. ????
I recently received a set of computations for a new house plan.
Virtually copied from the BS standard information.
Loading, footings, piers, concrete strength etc.
The big problem is nobody conforms to them.
No pre work inspection.
No mid point checks.
No final inspection.
Just get the monk to do three times around the house and she's sweet..
Move in..
-
They have no idea regarding construction and building engineering.
Or choose to ignore it.
Just put in the request for computation information and specs to build a new house in Buriram.
Surveyor, architect and draftsman have all signed off on the specs, but the builder says too much..
We do it same way we always have...less cost.
NO inspections required.
It amazes me..
I will not be building with this builder...

So, some Thai's are upgrading, but that means there will be empty properties elsewhere in Pattaya, because I don't think there is any extra employment here for Thai's.
I actually think that they are upgrading their rooms to the condo life.
And bringing the family together.
Instead of several small squat rooms.
Definitely workers.
Can hear them coming back at night and going out in the morning.

The signs are not good.
They can read it however they want to do.
Staying in Nirun condo and yes, many people say cheap Charlie's...
But you know what?
They are not here anymore.
Or deserted apartments.
Literally hundreds of them.
They just haven't bothered to come back.
Not this time.
Instead Thais are moving in.
4500 to 5000 a month is affordable for thai families.

How did they find out ?
Interesting question..
I had trouble with the Kasikorn bank the other day and they required passport details.
My new passport details.
Only came into Thailand on it 3 weeks ago.
Data matching?
Immigration biometric?
Maybe big brother is starting to get its act together?

<deleted> does he think that the people who try to live here feel?
It's a little bit more than worried.
My lady is still waiting for the explanation of why I have 15000 baht less each month.
I tried to say fluctuations.
She responded with fluck you farang too.

I don't think it can get much lower than this.... Stealing from your own ailing mother... Corruption and the desire for money, overides everything else, in Thailand..
Maybe she didn't have a farang to get the claws into?

Good old Kasikorn bank.
My account stopped working on Thursday.
Three days later and six resets, 90 baht in calls, a new pin, a new K plus card, and 300 baht, numerous signatures and copies of the passport.
And nobody has a clue..
Response..
Maybe I do something wrong.
Its obviously a issue with this bank.
Plus the Thais desire for possessions.
Normally other people's.
What's yours is mine.
And what's mine, is my own.
Terrible place for money scams.

The question is what kind of a country treats people this way?
Err. Thailand.
The land of Smiles.
This is the Thailand that some unfortunately get to see.
Drugs, crack pipes, prostitution, bribery, beatings.
And that is inside the prison.
Regardless of what he did.
He was a over stay violator.
He didn't kill anyone.
Mow down people with a car.
He overstayed, obviously wanted to be here.
Just not in the lock up.

What has happened is that the tourists who used to come for a laugh and playing up, have actually grown up, and it just doesn't appeal to the younger generation.
Combined with the bang for the buck.
Then you have the military junta, the immigration officers, the corrupt system, police officers who don't know what their jobs are.
Targeting the farang tourists.
Plus there is a greater sense of greed and disloyalty in the thai women here.
Pattaya is an eyesore.
Constantly dirty.
Constantly being dug up.
Very little of what is happening benefits the tourists.
Or retirees.

Confession, I’m a cheap charlie, as I never pay for a chair, maybe because paying for the privilege to sit on a. beach has never been part of Australian culture.
If I visit the beach its normally on a Wednesday.
No beach chairs and umbrellas.
