I caught covid in Thailand end of February first week in March. I'm old... 74...

it caused multiple problems for me long after the actual infection. In fact I'm still dealing with the afters ... tired all the time, falling asleep, high glucose readings and the GP had to increase my diabetes meds Breathing problems persisted and I was given an inhaler. The cough took  6 weeks to go , the doctor told me not to take cough medicine ... he was right ... it went away when I stopped the cough mixture ! Blood Pressure problems and extra meds for that....
Now the latest blood test is showing low sodium levels ...my arms were tingling and numb... thought it was my heart !

that's my story . 

Came through immigration leaving BKK on Tuesday evening. There was only me ...no exaggeration ...

The press release is just a publicity thing to attract tourists and eventually generate tax revenue . It was on the main news bulletins here in Ireland so  presume the word was sent out to the international press and TV. 

I was in Thailand for a month up to this week and apart from a coffee stall selling cannabis coffee I didn't notice any great interest ..

You have to be very quick to stop the 7Elevens adding plastic spoons or knives and forks and straws to your purchases . Free plastic bags are back too... remember how strict they were when the ban was first introduced ... 
the rats outside the 7/11 opposite my hotel are busy at night carrying loot from the trash bags,  left outside by the staff , to their nests down the drains . 5 huge barrels of mixed waste are collected during the night from outside the hotel ... someone said the bin men sort through them and separate the recycle waste... they do not ... I happened to look out my balcony as they were collecting one night. 
There's no real interest in addressing the problem ... same with the cracked and dangerous footpaths ...if there is a footpath ....I saw a blind man trying to negotiate Soi Bukahao in Pattaya ...it was agonising to watch for me , never mind the difficulty for the unsighted man .

I went for a week last autumn and I was bored silly...the most exciting thing I found was a new flavour in the frozen yogurt shop...and I was cold  too. I went back to Thailand in November for a month and did the same again last month ... I'm booked again for May.....

Having a recent killing, now this incident. It's only early days too, the venue opened not too long ago, not a lot of business with covid recent shutdowns.

 

There is sure to be lots of activities for the tourists when they arrive. 

 

Looking at the set up as I passed several times you need a firm optimistic personality to enter the crowded arena that is TreeTown ...I'd say you would pick up a dose of covid quicker than a lady ... well maybe ...

Payback for the endless robbery of tourists that goes on daily in Phuket.

Why not just leave them be until there is an agreement between Thailand and the Russian Federation as to what should be done?

If they have no access to funds they are not wanted in Thailand .
