They have millions registered will that do ????

It's the free cow a week raffle thats gonna be the turning point in Thailand's war on Covid and vaccine rollout ! This plan will spread nationwide, and supplies of cows will become a problem, but vaccine availability will be be surplus to requirements and even the free cows will come fully vaccinated. They will become Symbols of Victory over Covid , venerated and vaccinated , and milked meticulously along with foreign tourists.

So is that about over half a million shots per day?

Well, I guess it's good to have goals.

I'm not British , not blowing any trumpets, but didn't they get to a million a day at some stage ? ... Of course theres a little matter of the cost involved , and eh... to put it bluntly , saving money is more important than saving lives in Thailand ... sadly ... First World when promoting itself... Third World when pleading excuses. rockets and submarines .... easy ... vaccinating the population ... ah here ! thats a hard one ... as the actress said to the bishop !

And there's when I stopped reading further.

Now I am seriously convinced that that the stories on here are chosen daily simply to draw comments and that’s what people are reading , the news stories are nonsense but the comments are entertaining . We have a similar online only news App in Ireland. Copy & Paste news … not too complicated stuff … and then comment wars on a daily basis. Good fun for all … not a bit of harm in it… carry on… Just be sure not to take the content as “ News” …

They don't need to fine or punish. Offer incentives. Maybe free lottery tickets.

To insist that anyone must not refuse the Chinese vaccine is terribly unfair as it is  unsafe and not efficient. … nonsense ? … lots of online evidence of post vaccine deaths and serious illness … It’s the main vaccine being offered in Thailand .. for political and economic reasons as life isn’t as important as kudos and profit in some countries …

If it was announced that the Chinese Vaccine was now available by any developed country there would be a national day of laughter and jokes declared .

You need two injections to be fully vaccinated - and that's the rule to have the full two doses, not just one. So they give you a card after your first one, and then you wait 3 months for the second one.

J&J now approved in many countries and rolling out now. It’s single dose. Approved US and EU … The long wait between jabs one and two leaves you in limbo .Especially in the UK with a 12 week waiting period  between them. US and EU is 4weeks … In all honesty I think I would refuse the Chinese Vaccine . Unsafe and just over 50% efficient .

No. You can stay wherever you like.. In a house or in a hotel.. You follow the same restrictions as the other locals, but you cant leave the province for 7 days.. Easy.

very big question for me me . Am I free to book ANY flights that do not transit through Bangkok ? … example for me… Dublin /Qatar/Phuket…. ? …If they … you know that crowd… pick the flights forget it … backhanders .

Can my Thai friend  , who lives in Bangkok, travel to Phuket to meet me ? Obviously not  vaccinated yet as are most of the common people… Without this … forget it for me . I would be only to willing to pay for her vaccination prior to this imagined trip … but “they” will not allow the hospitals to buy and sell yet … because there is no benefit yet to their coffers … When AZ is in full production in Thailand one assumes the money machine will click into action .

    I have had my 2 Pfizers …

I did it My Way….… ‘OlBlue Eyes tune….and now I’ve had my two,

and so <deleted> you I am protected
I tried for some time now to to take good care  I’m not infected
I planned each route I walked to whom I talked, and stayed at home so disenchanted
But now, at long long last , my freedom’s granted

One minute Phuket is happening in July, the next it's not. Have they flippin' decided yet? If so, is it 7 days on the island or 14 ?

If anyone was silly enough to print out or screen shoot these daily gems you would have a hard job identifying Day, Month , and soon Year as to when the same headline has appeared or a contradiction has appeared. Thank God I’m a recovering alcoholic for over 20 years and everything in my life runs on the AA principal of “A Day at a Time”... I can take it without banging my head off the wall ... and not being able to ... well... Bang at all for now !

    lack of hygiene ,

The cleaning staff at my hotel in Soi Bukahao stared with questioning and unsure eyes into the toilet bowl observing the blue water up in the bowl ...  It was from the “ toilet block” I had added to the cistern to eliminate the odour ... not objectionable given there are no cleaning products ever supplied in the hotel rooms... but better dealt with ... I was afraid I might be deported ! lol .  Jaysus Wept ... as we say....

Well we pay to get out included in the ticket so I guess they think it's only fair we pay to get in as well! How will it be done, lines of people who don't have 300 baht being escorted to ATM's? Highway robbery from people who do not realize the golden goose has flown off.

same as previous charges .. in the price of the flight ... there’s already charges in there ...should be the other way round , we should be subsidised for enduring the filth , lack of hygiene , overpricing, danger of crossing a road , and potential accidents even walking on the third world pavements or even no pavement at all ... and falling down holes ... my personal favourite .

  10. Reading about the difficulties of living in Thailand and having the option of doing the same for many years now I’m so glad that my instinct always told me not to sacrifice my rights and privileges afforded to me as a citizen living in my own country for being a non entity outsider with no respect and considered as simply tolerable because of his or her spending ability in a country that is not a democracy , without freedom of speech or right to appeal constant threats to my continued existence in the country .

I can visit for months, enjoy its pleasures and partake of its false revenue driven “hospitality” any time of year .. excepting the covid era.... and when bored or exasperated by the many irritations in Thai society ... simply go home .

  11. Well, for my sins I have many lady friends in different parts of the country and without hesitation most say the Sinovax is dodgy and has killed people ! They said they will not take it.

Now, I’m not blind to the fact that rumours spread and become gospel truths , but with tests saying the efficacy of the chinese vaccine is as low as 50% , all in all it is not the “ to die for” choice of most people . But Causing death ? Anyone ?

No planes are flying from most of the countries, definitely none from Australia.

From Ireland you can travel to Phuket without transit thru BKK , which is not allowed , but , for the time being , we can’t come home via the middle east ( qatar or UAE) without quarantine in Dublin although only transiting through the airports in Doha,Dubai or Abu Dhabi....I expect  that to change though .

Who in their right mind is going to add yet another non refundable air fare to their credit card?

Well anyone who would buy a non refundable flight in these times would NOT be in their right mind and would be most welcome in Phuket to which anyone in their right mind would not travel anyway so I guess Phuket will get what it rightly deserves ... like minded not in their right mind tourists ! ... eh ..if you get what I’m at....

Most countries vaccinated health workers first, but here many are reported as getting sick with Covid according to the other TV thread article. And yet tourism workers in phuket have been vaccinated so that they can deal with vaccinated tourists.

now THAT one has me stumped.

Why has it got you stumped ? ... Money is more important than the lives of the real carers !
