Thais  can't  count, theyre No.1 .Unfortunately they forgot the 60 in front of that, witness any shop and your change calculation. Then they don't trust themselves by counting it often 3 times.

I  like to  play along with the stupidity by counting it  out to them 1 2 3 4 twice then watch as they repeat it,  oh  dear.

I asked a metal shop to make me something the other day, what  followed was painful, gave them the sizes in "mm" they hadn't a clue I had to translate it into CM, just painful.

So why are you living in a country with "stupid people" all around ?

In 10-15 years you cannot label the Chinese as tourists anymore in Thailand. They will be "Pisao and Pichai" - Big Sister and Big Brother.

I know the Chinese is a big market, and that 1 in 4 Intl. tourist is from China - and polls will probably say that this will rise over the next years.

But that's not because there will be more Chinese tourists arriving, but the other 3 in 4 tourists (European, US, Australia) will not show up here anymore. Nobody wants to see Maya Bay Madness or Seafood Buffet Slaughter.

So you think you can only go where Chinese go ?
    No other destinations available ?

Seems the last on the list is foreigners with Thai families. Wish they would relax restrictions on that class of people so I can finally leave and get back to work without worrying I won't be able to get back to my kid.

Tourists being talked about. Work Visa and Diplomats being talked about. But <deleted> families? Who cares apparently.

Talking about diplomats shows their level of thinking...

Thailand is already well-known for its hospitality, warmth, and friendliness

That is true to a certain extent, however in this day and age Thailand is also known for corruption, scams, pollution, xenophobia, dual pricing, high prices for sub - standard services, shocking health and safety standards, bizarre government rules that change at any time etc.

His aims are good, but something like this is just not going to happen.

Then jump on the first flight you can get!

International flights will be allowed June 1 st ? With what requirements ? A  letter from doctors within 72 hours you don,t have the virus ? Where in Seattle for example am i to find this test ? Asking for things that are NOT possible to get in any countries. Expect foreigners to come back? Better have the tests ready on arrival at the airport in Bangkok. No one is going to bother with all the visa etc etc hassles.

"International flights are still not allowed until June 1". For further information ask a wisdom teller...

Well they are wearing gloves and pharmacist coats, with face shields as well, so who knows what they are doing.  I do know that their is a sort of spray station you walk through before you get a squirt of sanitizer on your hands and you enter the store.  OTT maybe just a little, but it sure made me feel that they not only had there safety in mind but yours as well...

Looks more like a big show for me same as at makro.
Choose a trolley > push it to a guy who sprays alcohol on the hand rail and cleanes hundreds of rails with the same cloth > after you touch the rail again with your hands.
But did you clean your hands ?

We'll be healthier than before, once alcohol ban is lifted.

Not a bad time to stop drinking altogether and spend the time and money to something else?

Some say that it takes 3 weeks to change habits, good or bad. Now we have ample of time to do just that.

I stopped smoking since 3 weeks, as I can get my Burmese cigars only at our weekend market.
Some CHANG are still alive in the fridge. ????

There IS some sense in it. Read on...

Common sense would suggest that the reason for banning the booze is to prevent Somchais from sitting in groups and drinking, then after killing some brain cells going off to do other inappropriate things which would spread the virus, such as returning to hug and kiss family members.

Without 'generalising' I think it's fair to say that the government mainly target low-income Thai males as the target group to control in this case. From experience, these guys are completely incapable of buying in advance and rationing the booze for even a few days, never mind a month. This is partly because they don't have the money, and mainly because they can't control themselves or trust their buddies not to cheat. They drink all they have until it's gone.

In this sense, the 2-day window and a new ban makes sense, allowing expats and more wealthy to stock up and ration.

Hopefully some of the TVF clowns will stock up enough booze...
