Could not agree more. We have helped over 300 and have 22 at home. Never been bitten once. Dogs mirror their environment so expect to be bitten if you're unkind to one. That applies to all dogs not just Thailand. How about we start to see some proper Buddhist kindness that so many lack in this country and see there world through their eyes. It's not difficult to do. Spay and neuter and show some compassion and watch the world change for them and us. As for rabies the last person who died that I saw reported was a guy in Hua Hin and was bitten by a feral cat. They then went around rounding up the dogs

Health Ministry to Stop Reporting Daily COVID Cases on Oct 1
Bim Smith replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Should have happened months ago. Better late than never. Perhaps the Thai population will loose the fear and remove the masks so we can see those wonderful Thai smiles again. -
Funny. I have never rolled my sleeve up and not as much as a sniffle these last two years. All my vaccinated friends got it after getting the vaccine. Strange how that science works. Could be that I have been lucky hey

CEO of Pfizer has had 4 and just got infected for the second time. President Biden the same. I don't think your analysis stacks up.

I'm curious. Why you getting a vaccination is keeping your fellow workers safe. A vaccine only protects the recipient. That, historically always been the case

The New Normal sounded rather permanent. They can always bring it back when someone sneezes. You would naïve to think this is the end of it.

26 Luxury Cars Stolen In UK And Sold As New Vehicles In Thailand Seized
Bim Smith replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Reminds me of a story my old boss told me. He was the senior investigating officer looking into luxury cars stolen in the UK and shipped out to Pakistan. They flew a team out only to find the stolen cars being owned by senior police officers there. They returned to the UK empty handed.- 64 replies

Expert warns that the worst rain for Bangkok is yet to come
Bim Smith replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Nothing to do with global warming (rebranded climate change). They are continuing cloud seeding and they have admitted it recently when they sold the technology to Indonesia. They need to stop. Download an app called rain radar and you can see daily the countries that are and those that aren't. China Vietnam and Thailand hit mostly. Myanmar and Laos almost no rain for a month except where they border Thailand. Enough is enough -
56 provinces warned of waterway overflows following heavy rain
Bim Smith replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
They need to stop the cloud seeding we have had enough. This is the longest rainy reason I can remember. When they sold the rain making technology to Indonesia recently they admitted to still doing it on the pretext that the dams where only 50 percent full. Rice farmers here are having their crops ruined and for what. It's completely preventable. -
Our local temple has an outside gym that locals and monks alike use. The outrage is nonsense.

Much Higher Traffic Fines in Effect from Sept 5
Bim Smith replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
You can make them 40 thousand BAHT but they are useless without enforcement especially when traffic cops let family and friends through the road blocks with a wave and a smile, something I have witnessed many times -

I agree. Why foreigners get involved with Thai politics I will never know. It's asking for trouble. -
Thailand grapples with allowing more Chinese landowners
Bim Smith replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The original Elite visa came with land ownership then was withdrawn some years later leaving the owners having to sell up fast mainly at a loss. Thailand cannot be trusted to not change the rules at a whim. In addition the Chinese real estate is about to burst leaving millions of Chinese facing huge financial loss. If there are any left to invest, Thailand would be the last place to do it.- 129 replies
