  1. I've just thought of a flaw in my plan. See No 4.

    1. In BKK, book and pay for tickets with passport 1 details

    2. Exit BKK on passport 1

    3. Enter SIN (or wherever) on passport 2

    .....OK, sweet, so far....

    4. On checking in at SIN (to return to BKK), your ticket will show that you booked under passport 1, yet your SIN entry stamp is in passport 2

    5. Return to BKK using passport 2

    Any comments?

Sorry, Sir. But i've never seen any passport-information on any ticket! And the name on the ticket has to match the passport shown at the check-in anyway...

The last time I was called 'sir' was by the police!!! :D

Anyway, surely both your passports have the same name (ie yours :o )

  2. I used to sit at the little Isaan shop (great, cheap grub and beer at B60 a big bottle) at the roundabout and watch the traffic deal with a roundabout. Hilarious! I actually saw a traffic jam with 4 cars and each one refused to budge!

    Sadly missed.

  3. so what are u suggesting? money is the issue here as well as the visa..do u think it's possible to get a cheaper rate else where? thanks.

I am suggesting to get a tourist visa.

I am also suggesting that people that want to study Thai for other purposes than getting a visa, should be aware of the motivation of many of the students that will be joining them at Walen, Pro Language and 8host.

Are you aware that you'll have to pay for 2 extensions on you non-O-ED visa to be able to stay 1 year? Are you aware that you'll also have to pay for your visa? Are you aware that you actually have to go to sit in the classroom?

    Hear bloody hear!!!

How many people either currently on an ED visa or interested in getting one, are actually interested in learning Thai? And when I say learning Thai, I mean learning Thai to a pretty proficient level ie being able to communicate using full sentences, correct grammar and with confidence ( and, of course, the odd mistake here and there!!).

It's gonna come crashing down around you all. But don't worry....I'm sure you'll find another loophole to abuse.

  4. Yes I have a multiple entry non-B and I don't get 1-year extensions so I have to leave every 90 days.

I will try Jack's. Just that the other one advertises getting back earlier.

    Any more recommendations?

Based on there own Webside they have decided to go to PoiPet only.

Many faragns have switched to use either www.thaivisaservice.com or www.thaivisarun.com for their VisaRun.

Owners of both companies know the rules and both go to Ban Laem.

What?? Have Jacks pulled out of Ban Laem? Their website still says they go there.

  5. Although I am a few years shy of the big 50, I am starting to accumulate bits n bobs of info re: a Retirement Visa. I don't have a W/P and am not working. I have well in excess of B800K in a bank in Thailand.

Can a Non Immigrant 'O' (multi entry) be converted to an O-A Retirement visa without having to leave Thailand? If so, is a police clearance (from home country or Thailand) required?

  6. I have used JackGolf several times and been pleased each time. I personally would not do Cambodia alone... things just change far too fast

The last couple of 90 day runs I have done have been at Mae Sot (I drove) ... Super friendly fast and courteous service!

Really? I didn't know you could do a border run to Mae Sot. How long for a round trip in your own car?

  8. 1. Exit Thailand on passport 1

    2. Fly to Singapore on Air Asia and time it so it arrives at the same time as a flight from your home country (UK, USA, Australia etc)

    3. Enter SIN on passport 2 and simply say that you've just come from London, LA, Sydney etc (Don't forget, the Thai exit stamp is in passport 1)

    4. Depart SIN and enter BKK on passport 2.

    Would this work?

  9. Hi since i got no Visa,no money,no credit card and most of all no "real" life i thought to myself. Am tired of being stuck in Bkk with nothing. After some planing i thought i might as well walk back to europe and just "sneak" myself over the borders (since i dont have any visa's) I plan to go from BKK to north thailand-to laos-to-china-russia-finland-sweden-norway where i live.

I am not sure if i will take this way yet, maybe i go another way. Since i leave Thailand with only 500 baht i will need to get free food on the way, something i think is easy once i get out of bangkok and more north in Thailand. I am worried about when/if i reach russia, if it would be very cold. probably it would be summertime if i leave now. This will take me around 1 year i guess, something thats not so long since now am only 19 (20 in a few days)

I am very excited with this idea and i would be a great adventure, i got nothing to loose anyway.

Anyone here done this kinda stuff before? I would love if someone would join me on the way because i guess its pretty boring to walk for 1 year alone.

I plan to leave from bangkok next week, if anyone want to join me on my adventure just tell me, am a very friendly guy and a good english speaker.

Yeah. 5 times in the last 10 years!! Getting bored with it now.
