Controversy Erupts Over Thai Taxi Association's Guidelines for Female Passengers
Should be some rules for men in taxis run by katoeys too. 1. Don't wear short trousers that show the knees 2. Keep shirts buttoned up to the neck 3. Don't admit to being a hansum man 4. Avoid going to bars you don't know already 5. Don't tell the driver he's a pain in the ass

North Korea says it has simulated a nuclear missile attack to warn US of ‘nuclear war danger’
I wonder what will happen if the North Koreans or the Russians were to hold exercises off the coast of Hawaii or Catalina island. I don't think the West will be happy to allow the same freedoms they take for granted themselves. Still, they had the chance to wipe North Korea off the map in the 50s, as MacArthur suggested, but decided not to. Now there's a big fat baby with a red nuclear trigger to worry about.

Will Thailand echo USA's growing problem of Cannabis Use Disorder?
Never heard of this CUD nonsense until this. So many celebrities in America smoke and are still able to make an income and entertain others. https://www.insider.com/celebrities-who-smoke-weed-2018-10

Terrible English, I would end up arguing with the officer.

New visa-free regime plan for Chinese tourists will see more criminal elements entering Thailand
Like any other criminals, Chinese criminals can be arrested when they commit crimes. I doubt if the number will be so high the Thai government will have to rethink the visas.

An abdominal ultrasound
An writing this from a hospital where I just had ultrasound s few minutes ago. They got a urine sample an hour ago after the results then asked me to drink before the ultrasound. So there was no concern about drinking prior to the ultrasound. Health check next month and won't eat before but they say doing water is fine.

Why is no one surprised?

Biden biographer says it ‘wouldn’t be a total shock’ if president drops out of 2024 race
If Biden decides not to run it will be because he knows himself. The sheer weight of being president burns out many men. I remember the old and tired face of Jimmy Carter at the end of his presidency.

In Thailand: Are You a Walking Billboard?
I suppose the last laugh’s on the brand owners as the clothing here is mainly knock offs, so the branding doesn’t help them.

Send backwards to me. He should be going guilty of insurrection before applying the 24th amendment.

Trump inflated net worth by $2.2 billion, NY attorney general alleges
The amount was alleged, not confirmed. But it will help when he has to pay his lawyers as they know he can't plead poverty.

Trump decries federal ‘fascist thugs’ despite judge’s warnings
"Indicating me OVER NOTHING,” Trump wrote." Fair enough, he should get off really easily when they show in court that they have nothing.

Thaksin suffering “fatigue and stress” in hospital : Paetongtarn
He did once say he wanted to die in Thailand. Maybe his wish will come true.

Prayut says he will just be an ordinary citizen with his family after retirement
Interestingly, he did not absolve himself of all crimes during the period he held office as a civilian. This implies that he could be investigated for unusual wealth or corruption (if there is any evidence, of course).

The days of military coups in Thailand are gone : Sutin
Simply an insult to Thai people's intelligence. The 1997 "people's constitution" gave people freedom, until the military took it away. You can reform the military to cut down the number of generals, cancel conscription - or whatever - but unless military bases are all moved to border areas and generals who rebel are imprisoned for life, not much will change.

The Memo: Judge scrambles election with decision on Trump trial date
Life imitates art? On Sunday afternoon Donald Trump pitched a fit that his legal problems are keeping him from attending a golf tournament being held at his golf course in Aberdeen, Scotland.

KBank announces major restructuring and new president appointment
Why doesn't the article give a reason for the departure of senior executives? Retired? Incompetence? Listed companies really should explain themselves a little more clearly.

Facebook threatened with closure as it is linked to 70% of online fraud says outgoing minister
Shutting down Facebook for the actions of a few is essentially punishing the majority because of actions of a minority. While I don't particularly like Facebook I would defend people's right to use it if that's what they want. And if they get swindled it's usually caused by their own greed.
