  1. A bloke at work had the nickname of "Collins Class" after the Sub. They kept pouring good money into him and he never worked.
  2. @Crossy. The wires must be getting warm at the meter!!! Your pumping it out. I have seen similar on my 10kw system but not for long. Get ready for putting in end of month report in Gwh...not Kwh..
  3. Seriously the "look chin" sold at the Burriram railway station is the best in Thailand. You gotta try. You can sit and train spot while you eat....
  4. I agree with @Muhendis. For those on the Burriram lattitude 15 deg South from vertical. Calculated to 3 decimal places marked with chalk and cut with an Axe.????
  5. I'm envious!!! Keep that meter at all cost. Free storage!!!!
  6. The spot I have picked is open with good ventilation and well shaded. The wall I intend to place the batteries is brick 3.5mt under the carport with a tin roof above. No combustible material nearby. If you flick through my earlier photos and see the inverters being installed that's where I am going to put them. I have seen videos of lithium batteries on fire and it is scary stuff.
  7. S bends in floor drains to stop odors. Something so simple to put in while building! Three core electrical wiring and properly earthed from start to finish. Roof design with massive air flow. Rat proof roof especially in the country. If using a water pump keep the delivery pipe diameter large and step down in size at the last moment to increase the water flow. 3mt verandah, concrete, all around the house to keep the sun off and doubles as a car port. Also keeps the mud down walking into the house. Some say high ceiling....I say low with insulation Batts and Air Con. Many windows and sliding doors with fly screens to vent vent vent. Good luck...
  8. An interesting read if you can translate. 混合covid vacines是无用的,但不要告诉泰国的那些白痴
  9. @OJAS it appears I am misleading on the 400/40K Bht requirement. It only applies to Non Imm O A and not O as in my case. My apologies. The coverage is an extra which I have only just discovered. https://www.thaiembassy.com/travel-to-thailand/health-insurance-thailand-for-retirees Quote from embassy link Non Imm OA>> The new rule specifies that the applicant or visa holder must have health insurance not be less than 40,000 baht for outpatient and 400,000 baht for inpatient medical fees.
  10. Thanks for the compliment!! Yeah Lithium similar to wet batteries not liking the heat. The spot I will be putting my batteries is well shaded. I'm also fortunate living in the sticks with free air coming from the surrounding fruit, tapioca, palm, rubber trees etc etc and on top of that sun hitting the solar panels for 99% of the day. I used Darwin's Postcode 0800 to calculate my expected production as very similar Latitude to Issan albeit Southern Hemisphere. Here is the calculator https://solarcalculator.com.au/ I'm a NSW cockroach!!
  11. Correct 100k USD.. The policy was also required to have the 400/40k THB cover also and had to cover the length of the extension which I was about to renew so I took out 1 year cover. Wondering now if it is required for my next extension O visa.
  12. Does this rule apply to a Non Im O Visa now...? I do not wish to hijack thread but both Visas similar with renewal. Early this year I entered the Kingdom on a multi entry which required medical insurance to enter. 2 weeks later I renewed my extension and do not remember having to show my insurance. So same question will medical Insurance be required for Non Im O renewal now? I understand that holding the O-A visa the insurance is compulsory for the application. That rule came in a while ago (2 years?) but did not effect the Im O visa.
  13. Production for Aug 1.117Gwh. 36Kwh average per day. Have had plenty of heavy cloud and rain so not a bad average. Sometimes the rain has been continuous for two or more days in a row (like now). Consumption 1.233Gwh and has dropped off considerably now it has cooled down. In saying that we exported 491kw free to PEA. I have been trying my best to consume power with cooling the whole house even though not needed. Still waiting on Smart Meter. Phone calls every Monday to nobody who gives a rats. The Bin for the Month was 2500Bht so if there was a Grid Smart Meter I would have got at least a 1,000bht discount and more if I wasn't wasting power. 3 blackouts for the month 4hrs 4hrs and the last 11hrs starting at 8pm. Dinner by candlelight and torch. I'm still running with my plan to go down the battery path. I know I will not be able to justify a ROI doing it but have other reasons which I will post about as it happens.
  14. Keep the water level below the leaking pipe... Do I win a prize!!!...sorry I had to say that. Ok... seriously empty the tank and remove the leaking fitting!! Replace and/or....drill with hole saw and up-size to 1 1/2 inch outlet fitting. Adapt back down to your 1 inch. Use brass instead of PVC.
  15. Got my 1st Pfizer shot yesterday Burriram and 2nd appointment 16th nxt month. I registered both through expat vac and Burriram Inoculation Center. Burriram IC contacted me via SMS saying attend today or next couple of days to attend. Job done in 2.5hrs and 7 steps to complete.. There was plenty of fellangs uglier than me doing the same thing. Puddah took care of me. Thailand never ceases to Amaze. There is movement at the station for those who have missed out and anxious for a shot like me. Good luck on your number coming up.
  16. I got a Pfizer jab today at Burriram Hospital. Next shot 16th next month. I am registered on the expat-vac web site however Burriram IC (also registered) come through with a text message yesterday to come same day or over the next 2 days. Surprised to get the Pfizer... Just under 60 years... Thank you my Puddah.. If it was Sinovac I would have passed on the jab. Was expecting Astrazenica or the Sinovac.. 2.5 hrs..seven steps...all done.
  17. Every time I get bored I just roll over onto the other side until the feeling goes away!
  18. Found it...I understand now fank you. Huawei call it a Back up Box.. None of their system displays show this in the configuration... Its something extra to wire in... I learnt something today...
  19. Will go into ROI later once I buy...It's not the only reason I want to buy but big part of it.. The Wet Season all but done now..plenty of Sun already and more to come...
  20. I have pretty much decided on lashing out and buying the Luna 2000 Huawei 15 KWH battery kit..... No change from 300,000bht!!!!!. Will go into ROI later if I buy and reasons for. In discussions with contractor how I can fit without voiding warranty today. One thing the contractor said was that in event of a blackout the batteries would shut down and not supply power to the bahn.. I have caught this guy out a few times already even with my basic sparky knowledge. Question for the guru's is he wrong. Should I still have power and be able to drain the batteries along with the help of the PV's in event of a power drop. I cant find anything concrete in specs etc saying system will work when grid power is down.
  21. <deleted> me dead...Just got an e-mail acknowledging my previous application for vacine had failed and a link to try again!!I just finished downloading my passport details/visa and stuff and got an e-mail back within minutes saying successful!! The link had all of my previous details already filled in...Only in Thailand...Amazing!! I wonder if the phone call today helped me personally or is everyone getting another chance to re-register??
  22. Luv their work... Many fellang call with same application probrem. Wait a few days and see if new mail arrives confirming application success. Not holding my breath... The more people who phone them the better.. A squeaky door gets oiled!!!
  23. Tried again to re register with another e-mail...Rejected...name passport number already used...I give up!!!!
