I know a young girl in her twenties who is addicted to vaping and she suffers from horrible bouts of coughing and has damaged lungs as a result.
Not to mention heart palpitations.

Another photo op jaunt at the taxpayers expense to prove absolutely nothing about how he got out of the country after being arrested.
The usual Thai police whitewash.

As per usual in Thailand there is no SOP so you should check with your local DLT office in advance as to their requirements.
Just like each IO has it's own requirements for extensions etc

My wife doesn't know it exists and even if she did she wouldn't read a single post.
Much too busy with her FB and Line to be concerned about a farang forum.

Thailand is well known for producing fakes and because of the infamous defamation laws they can get away with virtually anything and that includes advertising.

Oh good, hopefully this will shut the big mouth and trouble maker up for a while, perhaps for good.

When I do mine I order a 12 statement, 200 baht and takes a week to arrive at the branch.
On the day of extension obtain a letter from BBL confirming that it is your account, update bank book and obtain a mini statement covering the period between the 12 month statement and your application.
This is done while you wait.

Thai PM announces stimulus measures amidst economic crisis
Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, who also serves as the Finance Minister, said today the government is set to introduce a series of stimulus measures to bolster growth.
Read the linked article several times, and did not see any "measures" presented.
The PM cum Finance Minister appears to be in way over his head.
PM Srettha, a former property mogul before assuming political office, repeatedly urged the central bank to reduce the interest rates that, according to him, are harming businesses.
Hmm. Higher interest rates harm businesses, like his (real estate).
He's a billionaire Muppet what else do you expect in cahoots with the unelected corrupt senate, the Army have left a devastating legacy but as they don't care a jot and the will of the people is continuosly ignored what else is there is expect other than rambling incompetence.

The police have no ethics because they are only interested in self gain.

The words Thai officials and anti corruption do not belong in the same sentence...

Alcohol has a very detrimental effect on your skin as can be witnessed by someone giving up alcohol for several months as their complexion changes significantly for the better.

You can order most things you describe online, as I do but I usually go to Tops at Central or Villa at the Avenue.
Also the mega BigCs stock alot of farang lines, cheeses etc.
As for farang food there are many places now but I rarely indulge, perhaps the odd breakfast here and there, Nadia's in Bongkot is good, I use it because it's near my regular hotel.

Did mine in Roi Et years ago and was a piece of cake.
I obtained the house yellow book shortly after retiring here 15 years ago and the ID afterwards.
Things were simpler back then as was getting a DL.

After moving here I tried beef occasionally but gave up due to the poor quality and I wasn't going to pay for imported beef.
I no longer miss it and mainly eat chicken, some pork and fish.

And nobody mentions the disposal of the batteries after they are no longer viable, another environmental disaster.
EV no thanks.

In the case I know of the Thai wife had to produce the death certificate at the bank branch to obtain access to the account.

Funny that....I had a negative reaction in a Soi Cowboy GGB when I refused to pay their price of a beer. Fortunately I got to see a price list before I accepted it. Random guys selling beer on the streets now?

It's the whole self serving teacher culture that needs to change but unfortunately the, we've always done it this way culture, will prevail.
Sadly at the expense of the future of children and the nation.

Just got my retirement extension renewal today. So another year until January 2025. I also realised that my UK passport expires in April 2025.
This got me thinking about when would be the best time to renew. I recall something about a passport needing six months validity for travel, and maybe this applies to renewing or applying for visas.
Bearing this in mind, and the time it might take to renew, Would it be best to do this around September 2024? Or could I leave it until after my next retirement extension in January 2025?
TIA.
You also need to factor in the renewal time, mine only took 3 weeks to get back but I know others have waited 3 months.
You are also not supposed to travel during the time your renewal application is being processed.

The urgent overhaul of the not fit for purpose in the 21C Thai rote learning education system has been a non starter for more than 20 years.
Unfortunately there is no vision or strategy for the youth of this country from the old guard who prefer the, this is the way we have always done it, approach.

In my experience the police are not involved in anything to do with a deceased private business unless foul play is suspected.
In the cases I know of the widow had to present the death certificate to the bank to obtain access to her late husbands accounts.
If a UK citizen the death certificate is only issued after a autopsy is performed as required by the UK embassy and the body released to the family for funeral rites.
