OP, familiar with TM30.
Of course owner needs your pp.
We have few joints.
In one there is a farang.
The agent that did the lease would file a TM30.
The tenant would need that for immigration.

My husband is a louse! Hence us trying to one up a few at the Monastery! It's a little bit of an inside joke.
Clearly a joke as I don't understand one word of this post.
Is your OP a joke also?
Your question: "can you obtain a non O based on marriage from a tourist visa".
Answer YES.
Added info you can obtain a 30 day extension to tourist visa entry.
You can also obtain 60 day extension to visit Thai husband.
As already outlined.

What seemed to work was scrolling to the bottom of the page first, selecting a date and then scrolling back up to select the category (Extension Visa for Retirement).and clicking it multiple times.
Dont follow any of your posts.
The link I posted earlier and just checked again is working fine.
I first selected type of extension.
I then went to first available date.
On purpose I just scrolled to bottom for book.
Already knew I would be directed back to unfilled fields.
Namely time...etc.
Works perfectly.
Thread about nothing imo.

Where are the new/old requirements. I'm anxious to know whether we need to file a new TM30 when returning from abroad on a reentry permit (CM Immigration).
The link to new rules for TM30 (in June 2020 is outlined in first post of thread.
The point is some immigration offices are not following the rule.
Seems CM is one such office.
Oddly the post I refer to involves CM..
Specifically read 2.2

The OP is female!
With the tag Amy , I did look at profile. Wasn't clear.
Being female (if memory serves me correctly) does not have same financial requirements as a male does.

Some advice and a link in this attached thread.

Steps outlined above.
Just to add....you may need more time to organize things.
If required you can obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife.
Some posts in this thread also outlines the requirements.

"Make sure you look at every page to make sure it was io error."

Current visa
TM6
TM30
TM47
Cost was 200 Baht. This is also for delivery by EMS for upto a couple of weeks.
Dont understand why the TM30 was required.
Did they ask for it or you just gave it.
TM6 some folk might not have as was suspended for arrival by air.

By "stated" I meant "provided"
Poor choice of word.
Provided in same way as folk flying visa exempt use "rent a flight" to satisfy airline.

He can apply for the change of status (Non O) at his local Immigration office.
Not sure about that.
Yes indeed someone can change from eg tourist visa to non O retirement.
Not sure if someone can change to non O as a dependent.
Here is thread discussing non Thai wife options to piggyback on husbands retirement visa.
Ubonjoe replies seem to indicate that the wife would need to obtain non O outside of Thailand.

It is my understanding that the dependent cannot apply for the Non Immigrant Visa within Thailand.
+1
Think common mistake is example farang guy enters and obtains a non O retirement with his non Thai wife who enters on tourist visa.
The plan that she piggyback on husbands visa/extension as dependent.
The issue is she needs to apply for non O outside of Thailand.
Solution for the OP son is a visa run.

First up ta for my mistake.
Re threads in AseanNow it's disappointing when someone starts a thread and then basically exits .
Happens often.
Bit weird really.
So @Lorry.....
Any interest in thread you started few days ago??

Dr Jack,
The OP had the following in his original post.
"I am asking for a long term O visa/retirement extension holder who wants to move his 800000 out of Thailand and is thinking of OA. He leaves Thailand every year anyway. "
He currently has a Non-Imm O but the 800K staying in Thailand is a problem. He did not talk about the income method but you may be correct and he is aware of this possibility. I wish I had the option of the income letter but not possible for me so never thought of it.
Thanks @biervoormij
Might help if I learn to read OP in detail.
Egg on face.
Ta for correction.

not really.
in general, immigration officers of any country could use the space much more efficiently.
in your example, even if it's one of the better ones I have seen, they still could easily have placed 4 pairs of stamps on each page instead of 3.
I also had some stamps that take less than half a page of space put in the dead center of a page. Obviously, it's not the IO who are paying for my new passports.
What the heck is your point.
Do you want me to post another zillion pages showing stamps side by side ...exit/reentry.

Tourism is - obviously - the correct reason to apply for any kind of tourist visa, including the METV.
Now, to justify the need for a METV in particular, you could mention side trips to nearby countries and etc. Some embassies actually require you to show evidence of at least one trip out within the validity period of the METV. In addition to the trip back home at the end.
Getting very tired of your spot in answers....joke. You are correct.
For folk applying for METV ...if consulate requires various stuff such as onward flight or hotel booking ....that can easily be falsely stated.

The fact that @Lotz started thread on Monday and has not replied or visited since does not inspire confidence.
In any event OP, your son will need to obtain the non O outside of Thailand and then apply for subsequent extension.
