They should not as report has nothing to do with extensions.

I guess that's why they make an METV available.

Granted does require exit reentry every 60/90 days but basically enables (almost) continuous  stay in Thailand of 9 months.

It's clear what the new TM30 requirements are and what they mean for expats living in Thailand. 

In a nutshell living in place of residence no TM30 is required to be filed after travel to another province involving stays and also travel out of Thailand and upon return no TM30 required.

What does require a TM30 is if there is a change of address (usual place of residence) or when someone exits Thailand and reenters with new visa or visa exempt.

Hopefully lease will be sufficient for them to issue you a certificate of. May ask also for TM30.

That would not be successful in Bangkok where they also require 90 day report.

Fortunately think you are obtaining bank account in another province. 

From my personal experience Kasikorn bank have been bit more flexible than Bangkok Bank.

When I was doing the "every two years get a new O-A visa" tactic, I didn't even do 90 day reports.  (Still required, I know, but unless you get arrested there's no consequence to skipping them, as I can attest.)

Prior to insurance requirements non O-A was ripper visa and as stated earlier if you visit home country every couple of years was an attractive option.

Not so much now imo.

It should state "may not be required" A new TM30 would be required if your lease has expired, the wife has kicked you out or whatever. The "the notified period of stay" has ended, you need to do a new TM30.

You conveniently left out the next statement following the bit you plucked out.....

Could you have gotten the re-entry permit and just did an extension of the original visa when you got back to Thailand?

An extension would have required funds in Thai bank.

Obtaining new non O-A every two years does not. 

Suits some. Especially those that travel back to home country every couple of years.

Yep. Your not the only one. 

The error has been made before. 

You could consider obtaining a non O based on retirement from your visa exempt entry.

Guess that depends on how long you wanted to remain in Thailand.

Extensions do not require proof funds came from abroad.

Only the non O retirement obtained in Thailand has that requirement.

You now have a 45 day permission of stay..

The "multi entry" part of the visa expired along with it in Dec 2022. 

OP, you have two hurdles.

Some countries Thai consulates might be reluctant to issue back to back METV.

Think France is one example.

Oz on the other hand no problem.

The next issue is entry into Thailand with so much time spent in Thailand ongoing.

The thread attached is long thread of rejected entry experience with METV.

Keep in mind this thread is 2019 and at that time Bangkok airports went on some crusade.

Personally I wouldn't attempt it.

Few months (3) between visas a better option.
