Offering someone 0.1% of the asking price isn't much of a joke.
Do you have a point?
The OP put it out there for 1.7 million. For life time visa
Think current PE 5 year visa is 1 million.
To state 1,700 is not a joke!!
Are you kidding
Try and buy an elite visa and get back to us.

Hero.
In baht 1,700 is sweet f All.
From the OP...
am selling this membership for THB 1.7 mill
Unrelated but thinking the OP price is very reasonable.
Excellent option for younger guy as does not require the retirement age restriction of 50yr.
It's a bargain imo at 1.7 million

Anyway that wasn't the point. Jack was complaining that Americans use their own version of English instead of some alleged 'common' version but then proceeds to use the term Yank which is primarily used by Aussies and Poms. Hypocrisy much?
Completely incorrect.
I complain re many USA folk using seasons on AseanNow example ..
" In Fall".
Guessing that means Autumn and no idea what exact month that is.
Also posting various costs of this and that in USD.
I believe the medical condition is "center of the universe syndrome"

USD is used extensively in Cambodia. You withdraw USD from ATMs and pay your way with USD. Usually you get your change in riel. Phnom Penh is not Saigon...
What is your point .
Who cares.
My point is can folk use Baht in posts and in regards to months of the year avoid "Fall" etc.
Just yanks thinking center of universe using USD and seasons that apply to USA.

OP's in the Bodja so of course it's Yankee dollars. That's what the ATMs dispense, not Pacific Pesos ????
Whatever.
When I post from eg Saigon and state price of Saigon Green beer 440ml is 15,000dong .
I state 21 baht. .
AseanNow is Thai last time I checked.

Not only Government hospitals but their Thai wives too. Three guys in our locality recently died of alcoholic poisoning having spent whatever savings they ever had.
Your point?
This only occurs in Thailand?

That said, those using an agent to get around requirements that they do not meet will eventually run into issues.
So you use a hand holder.
Fine, however not what the OP is about.
The way to change from agent to doing it yourself has been outlined in the thread.

Just so I understand - The airline will normally only be looking for exit flight out of Thailand when flying into Thailand on a Visa Exempt, but if you have a single or multiple entry Tourist Visa then the airline is unlikely to require a flight ticket within 60 days - Is this correct?
Correct.
If you have a visa or reentry permit the airline will not ask to see onward flight.
It is visa exempt requirement.
There can always be weird exceptions.
I once flew X Melbourne to Saigon.
My visa for Vietnam only had 5 days remaining.
The Jetstar clerk made me show flight out of Vietnam.
No problem as I had one Saigon to Bangkok couple of days later.

This doesn't get emphasized enough, it the single best improvement that Immigration has made in the 20 years I've been going there
I'm hearing you.
The two big leap forward has been the ability to make appointment.
Especially in relation to CW.
The second is that they finally seem to have good software for 90 day reports.
In relation to reference to using an agent..... personally I have no issue with it at all.
Despite what the preachers type on AseanNow there is no issue.
At some point in the future I would use agents most likely due to mobility etc.
I do it myself using money in bank method retirement.

Thanks for clearing that up. The income method seems like the clear choice.
The problem is appears the guy in question is from UK.
Unfortunately UK,USA,AU governments threw us under the bus and do not endorse income letters.
To use income method for pathway from visa exempt or tourist visa entry the applicant would need to show 12 months of previous transfers.
Thinking he has two options.
Agents or place 800k in Thai bank account in his name only.

This is what I meant. Since his pension is not enough, why can’t he send the 50k pension plus another 15k baht per month to make up the shortfall? Isn’t this called a combo?
He can send the extra 15k along with the 50k.
He would then be using the "income method"
Combo method refers to eg the 50k transferred each month in addition to funds keep on deposit in the account.

If you are legal and fulfil the requirements what is the problem?
In Thailand people are allowed to move from one place to another.
The issue is that the agent uses money in the bank method.
Immigration checks the bank book or bank statements retrospectively.
They would look to see if financial requirements were met.
It's possible to switch back to doing it yourself but you would need to commence that process a year prior to doing it yourself.
Some would just do a border bounce without reentry permit and reenter visa exempt and obtain a new non O having placed the 800k in bank account and obtaining subsequent extension.
