I wish this guy would learn to pronounce Thai words correctly, his pronounciation of Pattaya and the Soi's hurt my ears.

Second thing I notice is the lady is testing urine with any gloves on, could be possibility of cross contamination there, Guess she likes her fingers smelling like piss............

Yes, one more ridiculous person who must think that she is a doctor because she has a white overall...

Just discovered Easy Health, this new (open seven months) restaurant, thanks to eatigo.  Discount is 50% at 1500 which is when I like to have my one meal of the day, trying to lose weight.

Enjoyed my second meal today and will be back for more definitely.  Wonderful food and not "boring" at all.  Have tried their tuna salad (220) from the six-item salad menu;  salmon with maple leaf syrup sauce and mashed broccoli (250) from the nine-item Continental meals menu;  baked eggs with spinach and salmon (160) from the nine-item breakfast menu;  and hot and sour chicken soup aka Tom Yum gai (120) from the twenty-four item Thai meals menu.  Prices are before eatigo discount.   Other menu sections are Wraps, Bowls, Burritos, Soups, Fitness Meal, Frozen Yogurts, Smoothies and Desserts.

Atmosphere is quiet, clean, air-conditioned.  No annoying music or tv.

Wifi works well.  All is good here IMHO.  Location on the wrong (east) side of Third Road is a problem.  It is between Boxing Roo bar and Buffalo bar.  Sure hope it survives and prospers!

Overpriced salad that we can get anywhere for cheaper.

This place will of course close and deserve it.

You beat me to it there  @bleble  Phuket has been ruined by greedy development and failure to take care of the place. (My first visit was in 1985...my last ever was in 2014 to see friends)

Sadly Koh Chang is fast going the same way, as is/has Koh Samui.

It's so...so  sad what the Thais are doing or allowing to happen to their beautiful country.:crying:

Who cares their country ?1 I don't ! I use this place as much as I can and then will leave it to the rats when it will be too ugly for me. Thai do not respect anything, I also do not respect Thai, so it's perfect.

My favorite island.  Course I've only been to two (KC and KS).

And why do they write Koh?  It's pronounced Goh.

Anyway, I heard there's quite a few smaller islands off KC worth visiting, BUT THEY'RE MORE EXPENSIVE.  And not exactly a "secret" anymore...

    https://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/02/22/travel/old-thailand-found-on-sleepy-islands.html?referer=http://www.google.co.th/

The more desirable the island, the more expensive it will be.

Everyone agree with this rule of thumb? ?

Also heard Koh Chang Noi on the Andaman coast is nice, but again more expensive.

As long as the beach is clean and there's good food, who cares how many other jerkfaces are there besides yourself? ?

Learn Thai and you will know that it is not pronounced GO...

Also, I wish you to know this country a bit more, Koh Chang is one of the worst, following Phuket...

I can't advise on where to get in Thailand as I bought mine on Amazon and asked a friend to bring it with him  on a visit to Thailand.

I only post to suggest to you to be sure to get a longer  available recording  time than the 6 minutes I had on the dashcam I replaced.      My new one will record in a  60 minute loop which means in case of an emergency I'm less likely to have the event recorded over in the first 6 minutes.

What are you saying ? It only depends on the SD card, and with a 32 or 64gb SD card, how many hours/days/weeks before a previous video is recorded over?!

Well, I was going to reply and help... but your previous reply doesn't exactly lend itself to a desire to provide a helpful response other than use the Search Function...

Why, because he said the truth about boysandsound ?

Anyway, to talk about your ridiculous overpriced dashcam from Korea, better not reply, yes.

OP should just buy a G1W from moretech lazada for 1200 thb and just plug it himself in the car power.

No useless help needed, perfect cheap camera, nothing better for the price, but anyway who is stupid enough to pay electronics more than few $$$ when knowing that it will sit under the sun and die after few years. Ah yes, maybe the same kind of people who buy 20000 or 30000 thb mobile phones...

Well, I agree it's not very visionary not translating the menu but they opened mainly to serve Chinese customers and that's exactly who they're serving. I haven't looked at their books but they usually have customers in their small restaurant. But I know they're happy to welcome westerners as well. My idea is not only for them but to make access easier for non-Chinese as well. I realize not many people would be willing to do such a service for nothing.

So Chinese people are just hopeless just like Thai ?

    Immodest Proposal --

Are there any Chinese speakers that are very fluent in English reading this thread?

If so, you could do a great culinary service by dropping by

GRANDMA'S KITCHEN, Soi 13/3 South Pattaya (Delhi Darbar on the corner at 2nd road) and offering to translate their menu.

They're got a finished picture menu now but no staff that speaks more than a tiny bit of English and the Chinese on the menu doesn't translate very well with google photo translate.

They could potentially get a lot more business if they even had a one page of paper to give people with translations that correlated to the picture menu.

I think it could be done in half an hour as it's not a very big menu, and you could ask the staff what the dish really is in Chinese if the printed text isn't clear. Yes, if I was them I would seek out such a service and just pay for it, but it's clear they aren't thinking about that. I'm not even sure they'd be open to this offer because like I said, they don't speak English.

It's still possible for non-Chinese speakers to eat there and struggle to understand the menu, but I think that's just too much effort for the vast majority to make that effort. So that's a lose lose. This charming little restaurant loses the potential business and potential customers never experience their food.

    Just a thought!

If they are too stupid to pay 1000 someone to translate their menu, they just deserve to close as quickly as possible, No respect for this kind of idiots !

So Chinese people are just hopeless just like Thai ?

I am a vegan for many years ( loved cheese on salad when I ate that ).

You can of course use soy cheese.

A vegetable, fruit, nut salad can be fine with a dressing of olive and balsamic.

    Some Sizzler places offer these.

Of course you can always drip some yoghurt, strawberry is good I am told.

My concern over salad is how the vegetables are washed, the total lack of any taste in most vegetables grown here, hydroponic or soil, ( unless you put them in a very cold fridge for a week to increase sugars especially in carrot ).

If you are in Bangkok try the Lebanese restaurant near Sukhamvit Soi 2 for good salads.

Where do you buy soy cheese ?

The cheese at sizzler is also vegan, because it's cheaper it is made only with oil and without milk.

I just had the 139THB Sizzer salad bar

Chicken soup (they also had onion and Tom yum)

    A plate of salad

    Pasta and salmon parsley sauce

    More salad

    2 mousses

    And a bit of fruit

And they give you a bit of toast as well

167THB including including vat and a bottle of water

Its OK for 139 my only grumble is they don't name the cheese an sauces so I am not sure what they all are.

It ends on the 31st jan
