Was seeking tickets from China to Bangkok. Prices for this normal cost me 1700 rmb. But I have not been able to find tickets for less than 4000 rmb now. Almost the same cost to fly to America. This is part of the problem. Thailand airlines triple the fees for dares when they think many Chinese will want to fly

Thailand airlines have huge debts because have so smart business

This is a joke, obviously. They've actually put the ones that are the worst at the top. Italy is said to be almost the worst, but it has just about the best food culture and, in many places, the best climate in the world, as well as the world's best fashion and design, some of the best-looking women, and the best fast cars on the planet. This survey is either a joke, or they only interviewed morons.

I went to Italy many times and thought I had the wrong country, on the streets I didn't see an Italian only a multitude of foreigners, I not sure If I no make mistake travel????

rumas's view is reality for many long time stayers, some who came here long before retirement and are now well integrated. That does not mean the the laws are good or that they are not becoming significantly more difficult, they are. But that is outweighed by the good things about living here, which some don't see.

I agree with what you say, even like everyone here in Thailand we are here because we still find it interesting to stay, but like all free people we can at some point get over the point of no return if Thailand sees us as unwelcome, who will do it or not will depend on their personal situation.

you are more than welcome to your opinion..... but adding "Maybe time you open your eyes and stop dreaming" to your post does not add anything .  Just shows what type of Farang you are.  The type that Thais are increasingly sick of dealing with .   Try being nice and treating others with respect as many on this forum do.

my apologies if you felt offended when I told you to open your eyes, Your one-way totalitarian thinking indicates that no free discussion is possible, obviously you are well integrated into Thailand, a perfect Thai.

I think the MAJORITY of guys here (most of them with no desire to visit this forum) would not admit what you have written because for them live here is STILL very affordable and pleasant to live a relatively free and happy life.  (and yes, I include myself in that group and I have been here the better part of 30 years).

Good infrastructure.   Affordable housing and food....and medical care.   And very nice people if you choose to live away from the "hot spots".   I say this and believe me my glasses are no longer rose colored  ????

But certainly, like anywhere,  Thailand is not for everyone.  I wish them well as they buy their tickets to greener pastures.

You have not answered my question, only by declaring in your imagination that you consider that Thai readers are readers outside of reality, including yourself. No one doubts that Thailand is still an acceptable country to live in but that the political situation is rapidly changing to our detriment, including the entire Thais people. Maybe time you open your eyes and stop dreaming

If you have an Insurance, then you for sure not will go to a government hospital. there are a lot of private hospitals from normal price till expensive. Government hospitals people mostly go because they don't have the money or maybe a few who only want safe some money. But the time you lose there is mostly worth more!

Or you not living near private hospital, you not have many choice maybe if you living distant.

You are soo right! When his fighting thread was up, and I posted that he was making too much noise, and just should have accepted his compensation from start. Then I got attaced from soo many posters here. Now we see what it leads to. I also hope that all of them are super happy now. Or at least that they understand better next time. Unfortunately that is also a hope i vain. Anyway, thank you for todays best comment.

So, now everybody out there on this forum knows exactly why I am so utterly tired of all the foreigner coming to this country an feel some kind of entitlement. Complaining over rules and regulations, complaining over Thai thinking, values and culture. Complaining over all they can complain about. That´s the real people that should be blacklisted for life.

And in human nature I always want the best, I have been following a forum in Japan for a long time and the complaints are different but always complaining. But you have to admit that here things are happening in Thailand for expats bad so quickly now.

  8. I didn't understand anything if you receive 5 + 1 -1 = 5 years visa elite, I asked for informations with the company that sells the elite visa and I realized that not even the one who answered my questions knew what they were selling, the only one what I realized is that it was a loss of money to make you feel VIP if you are poor with the result that I would be even poorer afterwards but they will make you feel more VIP.

They might promote internal tourism but most Thais seem to work 7 days a week to make ends meet so its not something on their radar and if it were I don't see, have never seen any evidence of internal promotions. The locally Johnnie with a bus might do something but coming from Central no. With the real inflation rising people might like to go but cannot afford the money or time off work. The only internal tourism these folks might do is going to the local McDonalds or KFC.

Yes you are right, the stupidity not have limit.

The real question is, why do they need these vehicles? Not from any threat posed by the neighbors Burma, Malaysia, Cambodia or Laos. I believe it is from an internal threat. The army knows how much they are despised by the nation, and especially the youth. I am fairly certain eventually the youth will rise up against the army. Will the army have an appetite for killing the youth, at that point? I doubt it. Just look at Hong Kong. Imagine if millions of Thais took to the streets? Not tens of thousands like in the past. But millions upon millions. The older generation will not do it. They are too conventional, and too conservative, and too apathetic about politics. But, there is an emerging generation of youth here, that is impressive on a few fronts, and they are increasingly interested in activism. It is a positive sign, for the future of the nation. The army is doing absolutely nothing for the people. They must go. And it is possible the youth will eventually show them the door. Let us hope.

No I not imagine millions of Thais took the street, so lazy with play game and facebook, this generation is lost before born.

Hong Kong is spontaneous protest street ??? Yes but with some help from Brit and Us
