  1. 2) Targets on land transport ASEAN aims to reduce the average fuel consumption of new light-duty vehicles sold in ASEAN by 26% between 2015 and 2025. ASEAN will also introduce and strengthen fiscal policy measures based on fuel economy or on CO2 emissions at national level; and promote the adoption of national fuel consumption standards for light-duty vehicles, striving towards a regional standard in the long term.

Seems to me that Farangs in their late 40ties/early 50ties having married a Thai-Lady "their age" must have ended up in the 12% bracket.

Fast foreward 20 years: The Farangs still have their sweet/sour look on their face. But not completely detached. On the other hand, their (same age) Ladies display a facial expession that includes boredom, discust, discontent, taking solace in operating their smart-phones and talking to female Thai Friends nearby. (not going into their outer appearance), while the Farang-Hubby tries to maintain his sweet/sour look on his face.

To avoid such an unsatisfactory situation: It's imperative that a Farang marries a Thai-Female that is at least 15 years younger than him.

Of course there are exceptions to the rule. But few and far between.

It is only a question of hormones when the woman does not want or can no longer procreate ceases or diminishes much of wanting sexual relations in general. The breed does not count

So I will confirm what you said about minus 15 years, better if you found a sexy bomb????

All done and dusted. Soil breaking ceremony and media extravaganza performances done, ticket prices have been set, train drivers wages locked in, Bang Sue railway station almost completed.

Nothing much left to do except sign the contracts, borrow the money and build the rail line and the train.

    Idiots!

You can use the pc version if you want. Exactly same function but not a mobile phone. Or do you think Immigration will trace your IP-address?

And follow you on the Thaivisa forum, yes possibly if your visa is not renovated you know why, your pc or mobile phone is a spy on your pocket or home pc and you take care and pay money for, what can go wrong

No, that's the average experience in the Philippines, you cannot have ever been there if you've never met anybody who does not speak English.

Again, I'm interested to know where in the Philippines you've actually visited. I've done Angeles City, Boracay, Bohol, Carmen, Cebu (Car Car, Cebu City, Macatan, Maolboal & Oslob), Coron, Davao City, Manila, Samal Island, Surigao City, Tagum City and a fair few other Islands on island hopping tours & nowhere have I had a problem with anybody speaking English or English menus...

In fact in my > 30 visits, the only people I've met who couldn't speak English were my Ex-GFs parents who live in a small barangay (Kapalong) 2 hours drive north from Davao City & even they managed to learn enough English to be able to have a basic conversation with me (as I learnt enough Bisaya to exchange pleasantries with them... Oh & how to say "I'm full" (Busog - Sounds like Boo-Soh) so that her mum would stop trying to feed me.

Cebu and  Manilla but for me I had enough lost my money and time, I see not interesting country for tourists, and rather dangerous for business, political corruption very high with connection local mafia. Yes I agree if you go only tourists place and eat on the restaurant hotel you fond every one speaking very well English, maybe I not lucky, taxi scam all the time, my last expensive restaurant on Makati with not English menu I try lottery menu but I not eat only pay bill and my last day on airport Manilla a joke with not control baggage because equipment not work, fortunately a not see terrorist on the fly ????

Sure I have lucky problem with this country ????

You don't need to be a brain surgeon to understand how awful Thai education is all the way from grade school to University.

After we moved from Singapore to Thailand when my son was in middle school, and after witnessed the mind numbingly bad education he got, we were both determined he go to University in the US,

As it happened he ended up at my wife's Alma Mater in Chicago.

The problem with University in Thailand is that you could transplant Yale or Stanford into Thailand, but there are dealing with the raw material kicked out of Thai High Schools!

I believe, however, that you pay a very high price for your child in the US, here in Thailand the university is cheaper, and it is clear that the cost is equal to the result, but no one worries  Thailand, it is only important to have a paper diploma to go to work at BIG C

If I were to guess then I'd say they have already decided where, just they have to slowly sell the idea and get people used to it. My bet would be Korat and it's sort of strange that all the big mall groups have recently moved in (like Central and T21 etc.) as there didn't really seem like there is enough business to warrant that unless they know something everyone else doesn't and they aren't that busy atm. Also, the brand spanking new tollway is set to be finished in the next year or so plus they are talking high speed train too. Land prices have jumped there and lots of it is being sold, developed and swallowed up at the moment ... question is, by who? Needless to say it's within the "close by" comment/reference the PM made and I reckon the elite have already decided but needs to grab everything they can there first before it's official. Methinks he's just testing the reaction so as to get the show on the road.

I agree Korat with 187 m over sea level is the target, everything same future all projects agree
