yes we are,and nowhere to go if borders are still closed, vaccination to fly and my country australia still closed.Never in our lives have we seen democracy implode so quickly into a totalitarian nightmare.
Try to apply for asylum as a political refugee on your country, you will see that you get it and receive free room and board with pocket money

I'm right. If you think the army is going door to door to forcibly vaccinate foreigners against our will, then I think you've gone down the realm of conspiracy theory because that is never going to happen. The worst that could happen is we are given a week or so to leave the country.
I am justifiably concerned about this mafia threat by the Buri Ram governor, which at this point in time only applies to Thais. However, I don't think it will be easy to jail potentially hundreds of thousands of people.
Maybe you are right but the fear of finding yourself in a cell with 30 overpopulated people and not knowing when I could leave is a threat to be taken into account.

Are they not aware that the wife can also pass on the virus to the relatives and neighbours?

Many posters have criticised my sense of entitlement. I am curious what their nationalities are. What degree of prejudicial thinking would make the segregation of Thais and foreigners in regards to their access to a vaccine acceptable?
My doctor at Bumrungrad anticipated that I would be able to be vaccinated in April. As the acquisition of vaccines was delayed and then delayed again, he and more than 75,000 colleagues petitioned that the health minister, Anutin, resign. If the government's tardiness in buying the vaccines has resulted in a shortage of doses, that makes it reasonable for foreigners to appeal to their various embassies for Vaccinations. As a single American, not a high level decision maker, it is only appropriate for me to ask for vaccines for Americans. Other nationalities can appeal to their own embassies and, perhaps, suggest that their embassy piggyback on an American shipment of AZ vaccines.
People have referred to me as belonging to the other half which they are ashamed of. I served my country in dicey situations for 24 years. Which half would that put me into?
There is a certain amount of virtue signalling in some posts. Putting America and certain Americans down does not make you a superior person.
I can't find it now, but a poster on this thread posted a link to information about foreigners being able to request vaccines from their embassies. That is helpful. Thanks.
Personally I find that you are right to ask your embassy for vaccine assistance, considering that in Thailand corruption plays the most important role that the health of its citizens. If the embassy of your respective governments did not care about their own citizens, it only means that she considers you second-rate citizens.

Thailand is using Sinovac. Not Sinopharm.
Yes, unfortunately, because the CP group owns shares in the company Sinovac, no accusations of corruption of course.

The SInopharm vaccine, which is a vaccine so declared still to the old dead virus system would appear to be a vaccine with fewer side effects, someone with more information?

Yet, here you are on TVF spending energy to express your views about a place you seemingly don’t like.
You are aware that not everything can be all things to all people, right? There are people that hate Disneyland.
Sometimes a place just has to say, “This is our target demographic” and not care what people not in the target demo think.
Im not sure if by saying “if I were a tourist” you are implying that you’re an expat or if you’re talking about your next vacation/holiday.
Either way, I don’t understand expats that spew so much vile and then when you ask them why they don’t leave they say because they built a life here. LOL.
None of this is new. You built your unsatisfactory life here knowing it was unsatisfactory and then you want to complain that your life is unsatisfactory.
You’re like someone that moves to Bangkok and hates big cities. Instead of trying to turn Bangkok into a rural farming community, move to a rural farming community. And I feel the same confusion about tourists that spend 10 months of the year on TVF talking about how horrible Thailand is and then they come anyway.
Or worse, you’re the type that reads something about Phuket and you can’t wait to write about the taxi mafias and the corruption and the high prices and wah wah wah.
LOL, how traumatized were you by Phuket that you feel a need to warn the world never to go there?
Personally, I think Pattaya is a cesspool, but I rarely comment on Pattaya. I don’t even read anything in the Pattaya forums. Because I have no interest in Pattaya, I have no interest in talking about Pattaya.
So it really amazes me, the people who obviously loathe Thailand or Phuket and either do nothing to improve their situation or feel the constant need to rant about their dissatisfaction.
Maybe the problem isn’t Thailand.
How much energy did you spend to answer my hypothesis if I am were a tourist and nothing more, I think you have a big problem to solve with yourself before making judgments on other TV members you don't know anything about.

Actually, it’s an excellent promotion. It’ll keep people that don’t want to follow the rules from coming.
I think it’s a win-win.
Whenever I see a post on TVF from someone saying they’re never going to Phuket or they are cancelling a trip, I just think, think about how much of a better experience it will be for everyone else that this person didn’t bring their entitled attitude.
LOL, if the people that hate Phuket really want to harm Phuket, the best thing they could do is come to Phuket and make everyone else miserable.
If I were a tourist I would not go where there is a dictatorship but look for other places freer to have fun without threat or if there are none I would wait for it to be released somewhere.

As a tourist, classified 0 non-immigrant, the question is irrelevant.

My glasses steam up if I wear a face mask. Particularly in a car with the aircon on. This makes driving..... awkward.
I know for a fact that I'm not alone with this. It is a well documented problem. Yet the powers that be here seem to be completely unaware of it.
Also, as far as I'm concerned, the interior of my car is as much my own personal space as that of my house.
Next step put your mask at home and make sex with wife with mask or doctor certificate.

If they want foreign money, they can't be imposing silly rules that neighbouring countries don't require.
The pressure is on for them to ease requirements, not make it harder.
Once they had 40M foreign visitors a year, can't see them getting 1M/year for the next 5 years (or more).
I'd be OK dumping my misses, kids and mortgage if they really want, and moving to another 3rd world country. How does that do the Thai government any good?
You are right and I hope that there is someone intelligent who decides in the government on this issue, but from the latest stupid decisions on immigration it does not seem to me that we are going down this path but rather to ask for more money to be able to stay in Thailand keep in mind that after the age of 75 you will no longer find insurance or unsustainable costs with no guarantee that they will pay you in case of hospital need, so I personally am already evaluating other countries that are more hospitable to retirees. It is really a shame after having invested so much money in Thailand in a house I will have to leave and maybe I will be able to return once a year as a tourist for a few years before I am too old to travel.

The insurance by extension of the VISA O is almost a certainty in the near future, now we wait to see next month what will be the expected modification for all the VISA, when we are over 70 there will be only two solutions, stay if you then still allow it with finance or leave.

I think you are onto something here as now China is for want of a better word 'on the nose' with many other countries at the moment(Australia included)so needs to park its money somewhere .Just hope that the same outcome we are seeing in Cambodia now with mass property developments strangling large parts of the country don't happen in Thailand but I fear this may well be exactly what happens when Chinese money is thrown around like confetti.
That's exactly what the government wants to save thousands of real estate developers and the banking system from bankruptcy. The Chinese are outrages for investment in the Western world now so Thailand wants to attract them and prices will skyrocket
