Thailand has finally come out to accept the vaccines donated by India. The country is going to accept 200,000 doses of Covovax from India today. The move to accept 200,000 doses of the Indian made vaccine comes after Thailand had ‘not responded’ to 2-million doses of Indian made AstraZeneca vaccine in December of 2020 (before the outbreak of the Delta variant in early 2021). The Ministry of Public Health has come out to say that Covovax would be administered to those who have problem getting the other forms of vaccine. https://www.thaienquirer.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Thai-Enquirer-Summary-April-21-2022.pdf

I'm sure there are many sad stories like this that we rarely get to hear about. Money springs to mind. Covid test confusion ruins UK family holiday to Thailand An email with another sad outcome from possible risks, albeit small, that individuals and families face returning to Thailand at this time. The Thaiger receives at least a few of these sad stories every week. Names of individuals and locations been changed or withheld on the request of the author. My name is Pete Passport. I am a journalist and travel writer from the UK. I have travelled to Thailand many times since the 1980s, and love the country and the culture. But I have just had a disturbing experience in my latest visit with my wife and son, as part of a trip to write a holiday feature about how Thailand is re-opening to tourism in time for Songkran. https://thethaiger.com/hot-news/tourism/covid-test-confusion-ruins-uk-family-holiday-to-thailand
