  3. BANGKOK — The long-awaited relaunch of Thailand’s Songkran festival could be overshadowed by the country’s air pollution. In the northern city of Chiang Mai, a thick haze of air pollution has been present in recent weeks, and experts are warning that conditions are likely to hamper tourism surrounding the upcoming national holiday. https://www.voanews.com/a/thailand-s-air-quality-could-cloud-songkran-festival/7037810.html
  4. I would guess that as from Monday 17 April, there will be no more water throwing.
  5. A doctor in Chiang Mai urges tourists to postpone their holiday. “Our local economy depends on tourism but a responsible host would put their guests’ health concerns above anything else.” So why is TAT still promoting #Songkran? Why aren’t embassies issuing travel updates? https://twitter.com/RichardBarrow/status/1644150184430153729 CHIANG MAI CITY LIFE: 6% of death in Thailand due to air pollution, according to Chiang Mai University oncologist https://www.chiangmaicitylife.com/clg/living/6-of-death-in-thailand-due-to-air-pollution-according-to-cmu-oncologist

  10. Concur. As London is WrLife's headquarters, why isn't there any reviews from the UK after doing a google search?
  11. Oh no, not another WrLife thread. No response as yet from the OP, perhaps he's taking a nap.
  12. Excellent report. The last time I obtained a multiple non-immigrant O visa (Marriage) was back in 2017 and according to the OP's post very little has changed. Since 2018 I have been on a retirement extension and yearly exit-re-entry permit which has saved me the hassle of doing a visa run every 90 days,
  13. Don't get caught on overstay from now until you arrive at immigration on Monday.
  14. Common sense. Something the Govt should have done long ago but no, they just want to protect the farmers, regardless of the law.

  16. Jonathan Head @pakhead No-one should travel to northern Thailand right now. The air quality is a serious health threat. It’s obviously an emergency and equally obvious that little will be done by governments in the region. https://twitter.com/pakhead/status/1641401009074479104 Quote Tweet Ok, this is not a good look. A message to me from a tourist visiting northern #Thailand from Europe. 734?! “Hi Curtis! Great experience … but I had to leave earlier because the smoke became unbearable” #airpollution cc: @pakhead @karmanomad @suilee @MayWongCNA @SaksithCNA
  17. Pai, the popular backpacker destination, has now a record high of AQI 727 | PM2.5 844.4 µg/m³ which is hazardous to your health if you don’t wear a full face gas mask. Foreign embassies should urgently release travel advice against going to Northern #Thailand. #ฝุ่นPM25 A few years ago, the government closed all the schools in Bangkok when the AQI reached 150. Today Chiang Mai is the most polluted city in the world and Pai is 727. What are they doing about it? Nothing Why? Because Bangkok has good air quality today and so they don’t care. https://twitter.com/RichardBarrow/status/1641304198016012289
  18. Explain what is 1 million bath.

  20. I'm pretty sure you wont find blueberries cheaper than B300 a kilo anywhere in Thailand. Why not go for raspberries?
  21. How about the domestic cat? Their Meowing is not too loud and you can still hear them inside the house.
  22. I guess this applies to only foreigners.
  23. When I used to reside in Pattaya many years ago it was B20. Possibly more now.
  24. #BREAKING: #ThaiElection23 to be held on Sunday, May 14, says @ECT_Thailand https://twitter.com/SaksithCNA .
