BEV’s may carry a higher price than H2 cars because the cost per km for fuel will be about one third of H2 cars. I expect H2 cars to be cheaper because of less demand compared to BEV. Which would you rather buy, a car that costs 1 baht per km or one that costs 3-5 baht per km?

40 years ago, I got my first and only new manual transmission a Mercedes 190E, I think it was about US$1,000 more for an automatic gearbox, about another 7%. It was a company car and the automatic was too expensive for my grade. The international group I worked for also owned Inchcape, a Mercedes dealership. Automatics are considered a luxury in the UK and rarely specified on small cars.

I suspect your intelligence is directly proportional to your sense of humour.

Let’s not forget, ICE cars need multiple gears or CVT to compensate for lack of power at low revs, EV’s deliver broadly similar power across the rev range. It’s one of the reasons why they feel so quick.

Most EV owners are enthusiastic and buy them after becoming subject matter experts. Most anti-EV’ers just confirm their ignorance with the comments they post.

Hydrogen will always cost three times as much as plain, old electricity, so whilst I think there may well be hydrogen EV’s, BEV’s will always be peoples first choice but market dynamics will take care of the rest.

I can see why you’ll think that, but I suggest you have a look at the fastest cars around the Nurburgring, they are generally stunningly fast.

So who you are saying, I am wrong, whilst at the same time agreeing with me, is this the normal logic from a chemist? I am confused.

If we were all like that, no new cars would ever be made. Just think of the advantages of the silent EV, you could hear your wife, talk to you all the time, very easily at any speed, on second thoughts maybe EV’s are not such a good idea after all

How very strange, I’ve never heard any EV owner in Thailand complaining about anything with their cars.

Yes, the ZS started out as an ICE car the MG EP+ is based on the MG5 chassis, in the UK only the EV version available and they call it the MG5. In my book, all new cars start out with a perfect reputation, and it either stays that way, or it goes downhill.

Maybe the ZS or HS PHEV. The dedicated BEV platformed MG4 doesn’t have any noticeable roll with a sports suspension and 50/50 weight distribution.

It may not have been an EV. The MG EP+ is a bit boat like, great for passengers on a long journey, but not a driver’s car to hurry along twisty roads. I think there is a big difference in cars that are engineered for battery technology, rather than ICE cars that have been converted to BEV.

Neta now have a showroom in Chiang Rai town. I popped in with my sister and brother-in-law last week, and we were all very impressed with the car.

All hail the mighty EV, Grant me everlasting recharges, The volts to smite mine enemies, The amps to melt their ICE, The watts and wherefore‘s notwithstanding, Strike down those ICE’ers with thy mighty power Amen!

Hydrogen as a fuel will always cost about 3 times more than electricity over the same distance. I can see Hydrogen vehicles being offered as an alternative and poor substitute for BEV’s. Market economics, supply and demand will take care of the rest.

Every EV I have driven handle really well and typically better than ICE cars. Very little body roll because of a lower center of gravity and many around 50/50 weight distribution and 4WD.
