I just wonder why so many Asian countries are so fixated on 30 days. In the West, many countries are 90 days. If they are worried about losing money on extensions, I am fine with a 1900 baht exit fee if I stay longer than 30 days.

Actually in some parts of the US, it is illegal to sell and distribute vapes and flavored eliquids. However, there are no laws against vaping. So basically they only go after suppliers. Yes, but it takes +/- 30 minutes to get to your hotel depending on how many they have to pick up before/after you. It is more convenient just to call a Bolt when you are ready to go to the bus station.
