They have really stepped it up in my small city in Issaan, the other day went to enquire about my yellow passport and it was packed full of Thais receiving their vaccine

Surely if you are resident in Thailand you only need to show proof of two vaccinations

Better choose a different hospital . You do not have to go to Bangkok Hospital , with tenniscourt , swimmingpool and supernice entrances . Take a standard hospital and your bill is very cheap , spending even 100.000 there is something very very serious happening to you .
And equally good doctors, if not better

I had a Thai wife living with me in my home country and was made redundant from my job. It was a little early for me to retire but having wade up my pension and the job I could get at my age decided to bite the bullet and come. No regrets. For me when people ask me about coming to live in Thailand I always reply with the same answer, "In my home country I was existing, in Thailand I am living"

Thanks, an occasional spiritual dump feels very good.
Or scrap it altogether

People can live in Thailand on a retirement or marriage extension without any medical insurance..... but if they take a trip home, they will need insurance to get back in. Many feel they are too old or unhealthy or unable to afford insurance, hence cannot leave.. as they would not qualify to return.
Does that apply if your visa is still valid and you have a re-entry permit?

Shame on you!!!
Loei was once the most beautiful province in Thailand, many different species of wildlife, the difference between when I came 23 years ago and now, is so sad

Yes, I had same issue, I went back to check to see if my number was registered, it was. Try putting your girlfriends/wife's number in, it worked for me

Money all the way, some years later down the line even my wife confessed to me that was all it was. Initially they are also attracted to men who smile, they do not like aggressive men

I had my second Pfizer jab last week and asked about boosters.
They said 6 months and the hospital will contact me.
I would think the country will have plenty of vaccine by then.
A little bit off topic, my sister in the UK went for her booster jab last week but because she had had covid19 less then two weeks before, they refused to give it her

It takes a while to get used to the way Thai people think and react, just try and let it go over your head. Some people could never live in Thailand, I still love Thailand and would rather be here than in my own country

You should be ok for the weather in NK/CK/Loei. If you are into sky walks
(it is scenic anyway) a relatively new one outside Chiang Khan, in CK instead of turning left towards Loei go straight on, it is probably about 20K on your right, the road eventually joins up with the CK to Loei road, with a couple of left turns. Enjoy

I find it strange how immigration offices have different rules from each other. I never have had to draw a map but at least the the last three times I have had to show a bank statement

Yes, as I said, if you go with them at 75 or before you can stay with them after that. I guess I'll find out how much premiums go up as I age. ????
No he hasn't made any claims

I got Pacific Cross two years ago for my O-A extension. Medicare doesn't cover me here,
I'm now 71 and want real insurance, not just a sham policy to satisfy immigration. I got more than the minimum policy needed for immigration. Also PC will extend coverage, past 75 if you buy from them before that age. Most Thai companies won't start new policies past that age. Of course premiums increase with age.
I'm meeting with my insurance rrp this week and will try to find what PC plans for new requirements.
Converting to O visa may help avoid insurance for a while but I suspect that loophole will close soon. I don't want to leave /re-enter after my OA expires to get O and need insurance anyway.
It is what it is.
I do not have Pacific Cross, I can only report on my friend who took out Pacific Cross 2 years ago when he was 74 and is still with them

Yes. exactly the same happened to me. I went to check at the vaccination place and although the phone number was correct it would not accept it. I entered my wife's telephone number and hey presto it accepted it

“Entertainment venues, pubs, bars and karaoke shops in these areas will have to remain closed for the time being.”
My guess would be that this will be the case for the duration of November then, depending on the data remaining positive, the next phase will be reopening bars etc in time for the main tourism to arrive for Xmas/new year period.
Its a sensible, measured approach.
But God forbid we have to open the markets, squashed in like a can of sardines

Can't see the money in the bank increasing within the next two years (not until things get back to anything like normality) first increase by 200,000 baht after. JMHO
