  1. If that happens there won't be enough planes for the mass exodus of expats. For me no problem, I will just go back to the UK. Live in my house which I still have
  2. I am still in Thailand, read my post!!
  3. So if you do not have access to the internet?
  4. Just wondering. I am going in a three week visit to the UK. What if I downloaded the form before I go and filled it in but sent it within the 3 days of returning
  5. I am just in the process of having root canal treatment with crown fitted. Total cost 20,000 baht
  6. For the last 20 years I have filed a UK self assessment tax return and paid UK taxes
  7. I would never spragg, it is not in my nature but I would not shed a tear for them if they were caught
  8. When was bereavement grant paid to widowers stopped? I only ask because someone I know personally received this
  9. Having lived in a small thai city in North Eastern Issaan for 14 years (non touristy) I had to learn a certain amount of Thai but I was quite shocked when I moved to a more touristy place (same size) some months in that they speak less English
  10. I may be wrong but I think after 3 months your state pension increases and also you are fine for NHS health care
  11. I would have thought UK because you are only in transit when changing planes but not sure

  16. Went to my amphur, head of tax office said no need to fill tax form in. I am lucky in that if it all goes pair shaped I still have a house in the uk. I will just leave, I have had 15 great retirement years already, so no problem for me
  17. A few years ago my friend installed his own water filter. The guy who fitted it also did a test on it, my friend up to then used to get the very large container bottles you see being delivered on the back of pickups. The guy did a test on the remainder of water in the said bottles, much to my friends dismay the quality of water was way below standard of the filtered water he had just installed
  18. I have used this type of machine for 8 months, never checked, never had any issues
  19. I still have my old TM6 😭😭 I will plead ignorant
  20. Just came back from my local Revenue Office. Took with me everything which I needed. The lady looked at everything but obviously was not 100% certain on the matter. She went to get her superior. Superior asked me several questions. Which country do you get your income paid? Do you work in Thailand? Do you pay tax on your income in the UK? Do you have evidence that you pay tax in the UK? After answering the questions and providing evidence, the lady informed me that there is no need to fill a tax form in Thailand. If I decided to change and pay tax on my UK income in Thailand then I would need to fill in a form. So for me until there is a clear instruction I will just carry on as normal
