Has that reputable news source also done an article about the Hamas leadership and whether they should be jailed or not ?

Have you yourself started a thread about that topic ?

Or just focus on Israel ?

Why don’t you start a thread in that or better still post in one of the already existing threads discussing the matter.

I certainly don’t want to participate in taking this thread off topic.

More deflection, this article is not about the ICC arrest warrant and extending the war because of that. Again you brought up prison, it’s an inflammatory aaccusation on these alleged corruption charges that the article does not mention prison for a reason. Only you. Why?

    It’s certainly not only me.

I do hope we all read numerous sources of news on the dreadful war in Gaza to keep our selves informed, here’s Politico (a reliable and trusted news source) discussing the subject of staying out of prison:

The Israeli leader is trying to stay in office and avoid prison on corruption charges, two linked desires that have long made him vulnerable to the demands of far-right members of his governing coalition.”

Absolutely not something only I came up with.

You could have made it part of this thread .

Its rather biased just to single out Netanyahu , where others involved in the war have acted in a way that is illegal .

Just concentre on Jews and ignore Muslims atrocities .

Ignore the Muslims atrocities and point your finger at Jews

My OP is based on an article from a reputable news outlet, I did not embellish the article with anything beyond its subject matter and I’m certainly not trying to take the thread off topic.

You are the one that mentioned prison? Why? What evidence in these alleged corruptions charges convinces you he is avoiding prison? Nothing about prison in the NYT article so again I am asking you how you got to the prison accusation when he has not gone through the justice system and been convicted?

I didn’t say he’s been convicted, however, he’s not simply facing (currently on hold corruption charges), there’s a little matter of accusations before the international court too.

I don’t subscribe to the belief that neither of these serious matters presents any risk of prison.

I certainly have not said Netanyahu should be put in prison before following the justice system.

Can I engage in whataboutery here ?

The Hamas leadership , those who organised and started this war and arranged for mass murder and war crimes .

Those Hamas leaders sitting in Qatar on their Billions they acquired through correction .

Those Hamas mass murdering corrupt war criminals who are responsible for 50 000 deaths .

Why arent you calling for them to be jailed ?

I believe there are threads on that.

Like to address my post now?

Yes, highlight the bit where I say he should be put in prison, and as you claimed, before following the justice system.

At no time have I said Netanyahu should be put in prison before following the justice system.

Which is why you can’t produce any stately from me in which I say such a thing.

“jumping the gun by having him in prison before following the justice system procedure.”

In the absence of such statements, how about addressing the article in the OP?

Read your post above regarding "keep Netanyahu out of prison"!

You imply that the war would "change!" with his removal!

I will now therefore ask how?

Do you think a dove will come in and stop all conflict in the ME or maybe somebody, even stronger, who wants to annihilate all of Israel's enemies or what?

The implication you yourself apply is a non sequitur.

I don’t imply anything of the sort.

The article states Natanyahu extended the war to keep himself out of prison and  makes reference to opportunities to end the war that he did not take up together with acting to end a ceasefire.

I have made no statement on ‘all conflict in the middle east’, that too was something you yourself inserted.

That was reported at the time . Its not a sectret or a new disclosure

"However, Netanyahu abruptly changed course when Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, a hardliner who has long demanded the reestablishment of Israeli settlements in Gaza, warned Netanyahu he and his allies would quit their coalition government if any cease-fire deal were reached. Such a move would collapse the coalition and force new elections, which polls at the time suggested Netanyahu would lose."

That is how democracy works , the Prime Minister confers with the elected Ministers and come to a decision .

I suppose that you would prefer a Dictator who rules supreme and takes no advice from anyone else

You are confusing political self interest for democracy.

I would prefer the war not be extended and expanded to keep Netanyahu out of prison.

  9. Yet more obscenity and of course always excuses, obfuscation and attacking those who bring this to our attention.

Well it turns out we have another source for news of this obscene plan:

“Israel Katz said he has ordered Israel’s military to prepare for establishing a camp, which he called a “humanitarian city”, on the ruins of the city of Rafah, Haaretz newspaper reported.”

”Humanitarian City” has a perverse ring to it, perhaps the Israelis could knock up an iron sign bearing the inscription “Humanitarian City”, mount it over the gate where Palestinians will enter, be screened and once inside not allowed to leave.

Palestinians would go through “security screening” before entering, and once inside would not be allowed to leave, Katz said at a briefing for Israeli journalists.”

    Let’s never hear this again:

”If only we had known what was happening”.

Ok, please tell us who the  the big Republican lobby contributions are coming from.

What I can see is that his top contributors are not what you claim. 1/2 of his contributions are from individual small donations of less than $200.   He gets a very small amount of contributions from PACs. - approx. 1% of his donations.

His largest contributors are not Republican strategists or lobbyists.

    JStreet PAC $175,021

    Google Inc $154,387

    University Of Pennsylvania $138,520

    University Of Pittsburgh $100,609

    Penn State University $98,165

Did I say ‘big Republican lobby donations’?

So did Macron in the OP

He was wrong, and I pointed why he was wrong.

Do you wish to refute any of the points that I made, saying Macron was wrong ?

Now is your chance to show us your intellectual superiority or show us your mentalism.

Up to you, as some say in Thailand.

    Macron is right:

“The British people had been sold a lie that leaving the EU would make it possible to fight more effectively against illegal immigration.” He insisted that migration issues require “cooperation, a European approach,” rather than the isolated promises of “populists.” Pointing out that the UK now has “no migratory deal” with the EU, Macron warned that this “creates an incentive to make the crossing, the precise opposite of what Brexit had promised.”

All that ‘we want our borders back’.

You got them back and couldn’t control them.

    A demonstrable Brexit fail.

Anything in my comment that you want to try and refute or claim as fake news ?

Or are you just in the mood to open your mouth and let your belly rumble.

BDS ( Brexit Deranged Syndrome ) Is now a recognized medical condition.

Treatment consists of a course of man up tablets and therapy to guide you through how to put petted lips away, followed by another week of standing still to negate the urge to stamp feet.

Frre on the NHS, if you qualify for UK freebies.

I didn’t say it was fake news.

I said ‘It’s always somebody else fault’.

And off you on another of your customary ad hominem.
