  1. I thought the ‘illegal immigrants’ were all living in five star hotels?
  2. That seems like a broad pejorative generalization.
  3. Time will tell. And 4 months is very clearly not enough time.
  4. So no arguments then from you about the previous 14 years of failure to deal with the housing shortage. But you want it fixed in 4 months.
  5. I’ve no idea, and less idea why you are asking me. But taking you at your word, this life building houses surely taught you houses don’t get built in 4 months. You’ve listed only some of the steps, non of which Labour could undertake until in Government.
  6. A bit of a challenge to enact policies before winning an election toon, don’t you agree?
  7. It wasn’t me who claimed the existence of a human right to buy privilege: “If the government is not providing adequate education then buying privilege's is a human right.”
  8. You’ve never built a house have you? Here’s a tip if you decide to do, it takes time, a lot longer than 4 months.
  9. Indeed and rent controls remain commonplace across Europe and that bastion of the free market, the U.S.
  10. It’s in the manifesto: https://labour.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Labour-MANIFESTO-UK-2024.pdf
  11. Do you have a link to the applicable human rights laws?
  12. Here’s the problem with your claim and your figures: First your categorical claim: Now from your speculative evidence: “ANALYSIS: VAT on private schools could end up costing taxpayers”
  13. Oh a survey of people who don’t want to pay higher taxes for the privileges they are buying. We’ll soon find out the truth of it.
  14. I don’t support the idea of ‘buying privilege’ while I have expressed no views on the people who do so. People pay taxes for all manner of goods and services they pay for out of money they earned and that was already taxed. Do you have the math on the costs you refer to?
  15. ‘always to the detriment of the British people?’ Labour’s October budget allocates £billions of extra funds to the NHS, Schools and education. Definitely not to the detriment of the British people who use and rely on those services.
  16. ‘Woeful and dangerous’? If your claim is correct then it is the business of Government to improve those comprehensives, and if so why didn’t the last Government fix the alleged ‘woeful and dangerous comprehensives’? In the meantime Labour’s October budget allocates £Billions more funds to schools and education for the children who’s parents can’t afford to buy privilege. https://educationhub.blog.gov.uk/2024/10/31/budget-2024-education-send-childcare-private-schools-vat/
  17. Taxes being spent on providing public services as stated in the Labour Party Manifesto.
  18. One of the benefits of social media and online forums is they provide platforms on which Conspiracy nuts have the opportunity to out themselves, thereby saving the rest of us the trouble of finding out how whacked out they are before they ever get too close. We know employers search the online behavior of would be employees, it makes sense to do so, online activity is there for all to see.
  19. Nice false equivalence between public universities and private schools.
  20. Oh dear, people buying privilege have to pay VAT on it.
  21. Who said people in low incomes are going to buy homes? I see you are back to blaming immigrants. Schrödinger's Immigrants, who are one and the same time living on benefits and buying up all the expensive housing.
  22. You didn’t point out any facts you made a prediction for the future. The only fact about predictions of the future is the predicted events haven’t happened.
  23. I think you are letting your understandable election anxiety get the better of you. Chill, it’s going to be a peaceful election and a peaceful transition of power.
