  1. You need to draw a distinction between tween supporting anything and singling out one particular faith to deny it’s adherents to follow their faith. Either allow all faiths or none, all ‘religious courts’ or none. Given that all ‘religious courts’ and any other form of independent arbitration in the UK subservient to British law and the ECHR where is the problem. Non of the ‘religious courts’ in the UK have any authority above the law of the land.

  12. Can you point out the bit where I ‘protect the terrorists’? Give it your best go.
  13. There’s a thin veneer on that.
  14. Because the UK is a signatory to the Convention. You too, and any member of your family in the UK would have the right appeal to the ECHR if you or their rights were being violated.
  15. It’s not a choice made by Government, the matter resides with the courts.
  16. The ECHR can only rule on the administration of law the under the Human Rights Convention that Britain and Winston Churchill in particular helped draught.
  17. He’s a man willing to negotiate for peace even if it meant putting a target on his back. He’s also, unlike me, the subject of the thread.
  18. Adams playing a part in the ending of the conflict is the history, it’s backed by documents and records rather than a drama.
