  1. Slur by innuendo. Obviously correct, hence the slur by innuendo.
  2. Thanks for mentioning this, albeit with added misrepresentation of Qatari motivations and omission of some details that give a very much more nuanced understanding of why the Qataris are making these payments, who has been deeply involved in the scheme and why: The absence of a link to support your claim (usually a bit of a tell) prompted me to go look for myself: https://edition.cnn.com/2023/12/11/middleeast/qatar-hamas-funds-israel-backing-intl/index.html
  3. More reporting on this here: https://www.columbiaspectator.com/news/2024/04/17/universitys-treatment-of-student-sponsored-speakers-sparks-debate-on-free-speech-principles/
  4. Do you mind if I don’t cross post between threads?! Do you dispute my observation on who wrote this opinion piece?
  5. Well we know it’s not The National Front don’t we Jonny.
  6. Not shooting the messenger, although he is promoting a message in the form of an opinion. Fact. Bias and pro-Israel positioning of MEMRI. Fact. The OP is an opinion piece. Forgive me for checking out the history of who’s opinion it is.
  7. Bypass the need for evidence and go straight to the accusation.
  8. Well it’s an opinion. The opinion from Steven Stalinsky of the Middle East Media Research Institute. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/middle-east-media-research-institute-memri/ Perhaps the news reports from Gaza streamed on TV and across social media have something to do with the protests.
  9. A brief search of English regional news returns examples of peaceful St George celebrations took place across England. You’ll find these reports include participation by people from all parts of the community, but especially civic organizations, school kids, the scouts and girl guides, veterans, women and children, old and young. All celebrating the many wonderful things about England and all a-political. The Rally that is the subject of this thread was not one of them.
  10. It’s a fair point. After all St George’s day is celebrated in a whole lot of other counties Including: Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Kosovo, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Catalonia, Aragon, Brazil. I wonder if the citizens of these countries residing in London would have been welcomed at this particular ‘Rally’.
  11. There are local election in May and a general election due. There are a range of political parties contesting these elections. Voters have a choice.
  12. I didn’t say you wrote that. You posted the opinion piece. When you post an opinion piece in this discussion forum you invite discussion on your post. I responded with a correction, adding a quote from the indictment (not an opinion) and a link to the indictment (also not an opinion).
  13. Says the indictment, the original document of which I quoted and provided a link to.
  14. Not quite the full story. What Defendant Trump is charged with is recorded on the indictment. The wording of which on each count details fraud with intent to commit other crimes. Felonies. https://manhattanda.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Donald-J.-Trump-Indictment.pdf
  15. And then, in a gift to Prosecutors, the fake electors signed the false statements on the fake documents and submitted them to the Federal Government for safe keeping. I’m sure not the brightest The Grand Canyon State has to offer.
  16. Do you have anything to say about the topic of this thread? St George's Day rally in London descends to chaos: Protesters slam Met's 'two-tier policiy.
  17. The vast majority of threads in the World News Forum are discussing American topics. Your baseless guess are not helping you make any on-topic comments are they?! Refer too of this thread for the topic under discussion, it’s not me.
  18. This isn’t a popularity contest. …… St George’s day, an opportunity to celebrate many of the wonderful and admirable things about England. Turned into barging through police lines, animal cruelty, abusive remarks and right there in the middle of it, the rightwing carpet bagging duo, convicted fraudster ‘Yaxley-Lennon’ and erstwhile rather good actor Laurence Fox.
  19. I don’t see anything witty about any of this, I think it’s deadly serious. Charging through police cordons, animal cruelty, abusive remarks. It doesn’t look at all humorous to me.
  20. I know nothing of the sort. Laurence Fox gets three mentions in the OP. I know him as an actor, or at least from when he was an actor; I believe he’s ‘resting’ these days.
