I don’t support the idea of ‘buying privilege’ while I have expressed no views on the people who do so. People pay taxes for all manner of goods and services they pay for out of money they earned and that was already taxed. Do you have the math on the costs you refer to?

You didn’t point out any facts you made a prediction for the future. The only fact about predictions of the future is the predicted events haven’t happened.

Redirecting money from supporting rents to building affordable homes makes sense. Far too much tax payer’s money is being piped through to the pockets of buy to let landlords. Time to build the affordable homes the nation needs and stop funding private profits from public need.

I agree, my true friends are people I’ve known since childhood. I refer to these as ‘friends with provenance’. You posted the very video of her getting ripped by the speaker for trying to invent excuses to avoid the criticism she was facing. Only when she was completely humiliated did she make a half assed back down. There will undoubtedly be more of this to come in the future. I’ll say it again. I’m delighted she’s been chosen as leader of what’s left of the Tories, she’s a gift to Labour and the Lib Dems.
