  1. Absolutely the Israelis will create carnage when they attack the densely populated Rafah. Here’s the difference between us on the matter. I don’t support the carnage, I don’t justify the carnage, I don’t excuse the carnage, I don’t pretend there are no other options than a military attack that absolutely will result in carnage and I don’t argue, as you do, the civilians in Rafah have no reason to complain when the Israelis visit carnage upon them.
  2. Go on then, quote me. Explain what I’ve said that is making excuses for the obscene terrorist attack of 7/10. Give it your best go Brian.
  3. No it’s not. Because I have ‘generated’ any ‘excuses’. Away with you and your misrepresentation of my views.
  4. Nothing like a bit of revisionism. How’s your gleeful support for the carnage facing Rafah going. I mean really Nick, you choose the word ‘carnage’ when you refer to what the Israeli military have in store for civilians in Rafah, and tell us that these on innocent civilians have no reason to complain about that ‘carnage’. When you chose that word ‘carnage’ in reference to civilians, did you at all pause to think?
  5. I have never once denied the obscene atrocities committed by Hamas on 7/10. My very first comments on the matter were to clearly state the attack of 7/10 was an obscenity. So away with you and your misrepresentations of my views.
  6. I think your statement earlier that the civilians in Rafah have no reason the complain about the ‘carnage’* the Israelis military are about to visit upon them, was a bit of a tell. *Carnage - your very own chosen word.
  7. Hamas, funded for years with the agreement of Netanyahu, do bear responsibility for their obscene attack on 7/10. The Israeli Government and Military bear responsibility for their military actions in Gaza, blockading food, water and medicines. It’s not too difficult to understand.
  8. Maybe you don’t like criticism of the slaughter and starvation of innocent civilians.
  9. That’s not an argument against giving journalists a choice of whether or not they want to go into Gaza to report on conditions there.
  10. Perhaps international journalists should be allowed into Gaza to independently report on what is going on there.
  11. The term ‘innocent civilians’ seems to have evaded your outrage.
  12. The slaughter and starvation of innocent civilians isn’t getting any hostages released. Maybe Israel needs to try something else.
  13. Sorry for mentioning a fact that you don’t like.
  14. Yes, I accept non of this would be happening without the attack of 7/10. At the time I referred to that attack as an obscenity, I still regard that attack as an obscenity. Israel has every right to defend itself. But Israel also has obligations under international law. There are multiple options to Israel, the protest at objecting to the ongoing option chosen: Acceptance of Israel’s right to defend itself and to respond with force to the obscene attack of 7/10 does not come with a cart Blanche acceptance of the atrocities Israel is now committing. Opposition to Israel’s slaughter of innocent civilians, the blocking of food, medicines, water and power to a civilian population under siege and the exclusion of international news reporters from the war zone does not in any sense or way excuse or justify the obscene attack of 7/10. It’s very simple, one obscenity does not justify another. Opposing the ongoing slaughter is not hate.
  15. You obviously didn’t understand my post. Perhaps deliberately so.
  16. Thanks for truncating my post to try and score a point.
  17. Gaslighting again. These are not hate marches. Though I do accept you hate protests against the slaughter of innocent civilians, the blocking of food, medicines, water and power to a civilian population under siege and the exclusion of international news reporters from the war zone (we couldn’t possibly be allowed to know what’s actually going on could we?!)
  18. Oh the means justifies the ends argument. Even when the means stays into what the ICJ describes as ‘Plausible allegations of genocide’ You are wandering die the sewer of morally bankrupt justifications.
  19. I mean the argument ‘You don’t have the right not to be offended’ which has been at the center of rightwing grievance politics these past few years has suddenly gone very quiet.
  20. Oh the two atrocities make a right argument.
  21. Hamas, which most reasonably balanced minds would accept are a terrorist organization, indeed they are a designated and proscribed terrorist organization. The fact the British Government and other Governments have told Hamas (Terrorist Organization) to immediately release the hostages and that Hamas (terrorist Organisation) has ignored those foreign governments sone how removes all reason for Innocent Palestinian in Rafah to complain when the Israelis visit carnage on them. Take look around you and see if you can find where you lost your morality, let alone sense of compassion for the innocent people who are about to be slaughtered. Oh an ‘Your side’?
